Agreed. If they can’t get decisions right with VAR just let refs get on with it like it’s been for the last 140 years before it came in.

They are trying to make the game perfect and guess what we are still talking about bad decisions.. Yep let's stick to the referee.

Who's the poodle that has to be some sort of cross breed ?

  3. This season is finished so I don't know what people expect.Several players will be gone this summer unfortunately it's another rebuild, To much inconsistency in games unless we get rid of the dead wood in the squad it won't change.. Not just the playing squad the entire club needs to change in the way it is run after the shambles Ashton left it in. Blame Pearson after 3 years if things don't change but now's not the time,I have faith he will get this right.

  4. I think he will be centreback we need a good pre season behind him he should be an excellent addition.. Kalas I'd liked to see dropped for a game to see how much difference it would make he still doesn't strike me as an 8 million pound centre back. Cundy and Atkinson could be a good partnership even though experienced.

Listening to Bentley on the radio, I don’t believe there are any fallings out with NP. Bentley was totally respectful of the situation

Just great management from NP as Bentley has come back stronger with a MOTM performance yesterday

Great man management Pearson done the same with Scott look how that turned out..

Totally agree with Nigel on this one.

I don't think JLs comments were mentioned much on here but in my opinion the bloke is off his head if he thinks we are underperforming based on the players available

Proves Jon lansdown knows **** all about football.

    More like £25k p.w!!!

    Categorically…no!

Likely to be a small fee up to £250k, and strong possibility we might have to pay some of his wages for his final year too.  His book value is about £80k….so anything less than that is a FFP loss!  I reckon he’s on £10k p.w. ???

Ouch! That's crazy especially the wage side of things.. What a lose.

We'd be lucky to get £250K for him imo, Particularly when you factor in his wages.

I suppose any fee would be better than nothing because I have faith in nige to replace him for better, But if we get that it's one hell of a loss .

    £1.5m!!!

Honestly thought it was a 1 million figure but yeah your right 1.5 ,Do you think we would get anything near that for him in the summer?

I sincerely hope you're right but why do you think he won't be at City next season?

He's under contract and I can't think of a single club who'd want him, not at the level he'd be interested in playing at anyway.

I don't think we will be short of clubs coming in for him and him playing for city next season I can't see happening I would be very very surprised if he does one player we can get a transfer fee for as well.

Yes but we need more money that that. It don't buy us many or a lot of class/ability

Pearson won't need a lot of money to get quality he's great in the transfer market.Bristol city don't need to spend stupid amounts..The important part is to off load the high earners and start getting players in that appreciate playing for our club.

Pearson only cleared out the players who were out of contract.

However, that doesn't account for the other players who remained contracted for this season. If no club makes an approach for them, then he cannot just choose to "get rid".

Our financial situation hasn't allowed him to make his own mark on this squad yet. And the rebuild is still in the early phases.

Please tell me which of our players are desirable to other clubs, other than our promising youngsters that we need to build around.

Kalas? - nobody is touching his wages in the current climate.

Bentley - A good keeper, but would cost in the region of £3m-£4m. Most teams won't pay that for keeper in this league. He wouldn't be a first choice for a Prem team.

As seen in the January window, teams won't pay money for the likes of Palmer, Wells and Dasilva who are on big money.

So your statement about Pearson having already had his clearout is nonsense. He merely scratched the surface with last summer's business.

It will take another 12-18 months for the overpaid dross to be shipped out. And the process will not be pretty. Many who were once signed for big fees, will leave on free transfers or for a minor fee.

And only when this happens, will we begin to see a genuine rebuild begin to take shape.

Strap in, because we are only in the early stages of a very long process.

If you cannot understand and appreciate a manager who is trying his best with the tools at his disposal, then you don't deserve to celebrate the success when it eventually comes our way.

    Spot on.

How about he takes a bit of blame himself. He continually picks the same side, same tactics and expects different results? He's deluded!

Still he can slam off all the reporters and everyone's happy!

    We are where we are!

You pick the squad and you tell me how he is supposed to change it? The simple point is your not supposed to change the team week in week out just like Johnson did we need to start being consistent but certain players cant do that neither can they do the basics.. He's right they need to be blamed and shipped out either buck up there ideas and show some desire or p*ss off.
