Pearson only cleared out the players who were out of contract.

However, that doesn't account for the other players who remained contracted for this season. If no club makes an approach for them, then he cannot just choose to "get rid".

Our financial situation hasn't allowed him to make his own mark on this squad yet. And the rebuild is still in the early phases.

Please tell me which of our players are desirable to other clubs, other than our promising youngsters that we need to build around.

Kalas? - nobody is touching his wages in the current climate.

Bentley - A good keeper, but would cost in the region of £3m-£4m. Most teams won't pay that for keeper in this league. He wouldn't be a first choice for a Prem team.

As seen in the January window, teams won't pay money for the likes of Palmer, Wells and Dasilva who are on big money.

So your statement about Pearson having already had his clearout is nonsense. He merely scratched the surface with last summer's business.

It will take another 12-18 months for the overpaid dross to be shipped out. And the process will not be pretty. Many who were once signed for big fees, will leave on free transfers or for a minor fee.

And only when this happens, will we begin to see a genuine rebuild begin to take shape.

Strap in, because we are only in the early stages of a very long process.

If you cannot understand and appreciate a manager who is trying his best with the tools at his disposal, then you don't deserve to celebrate the success when it eventually comes our way.

    Spot on.

How about he takes a bit of blame himself. He continually picks the same side, same tactics and expects different results? He's deluded!

Still he can slam off all the reporters and everyone's happy!

    We are where we are!

You pick the squad and you tell me how he is supposed to change it? The simple point is your not supposed to change the team week in week out just like Johnson did we need to start being consistent but certain players cant do that neither can they do the basics.. He's right they need to be blamed and shipped out either buck up there ideas and show some desire or p*ss off.

I don’t understand why people rate him so highly. At fault for the first two goals today. In no man’s land for the first and totally no effort to jump for the second. He has been a big part of a defensive problem for the last few seasons now.

Could some please share with me their reasons as to why they think he is any good as I am genuinely intrigued as to what I am missing.

Rumoured to be the top earner, not sure where the value for money is. First one out the door this summer for me.

To be fair he isn't worth the fee we payed for him that's for sure which was pretty excessive in my eyes and and as a club should'nt of payed out such a figure. He is a solid player,Me personally I'm not a fan and I think we could of spent the money more wisely. Obviously others will have there opinion.I think if we didn't pay the fee we did and at a lower price it would of been better value for money.

Why get so annoyed when we play the odd bad game and things don’t work? We aren’t going up, we aren’t going, we are a team in transition with a badly balanced, small squad? We have turned a corner generally speaking, haven’t we..?

We were all aware what we were signing up for this season, okay, yes it’s frustrating on times, but this is season one of the three we have been told it is going to take before we start looking upwards again.

Our finances are in a shocking state and it stops us signing quality players.

There are lots of positives if you care to find them, and whilst it’s disappointing, there really is no need for knee-jerk reactions when things don’t go our way.

I enjoy listening to NP’s honesty and am prepared to support his longer term aims...

    We’ll get there!

Can't disagree with this we have to be positive and if we can afford to get to the gate then we should lift those attendances it will only help Pearson signing players to get us to the place we want to be. At the minute we have to be patient and put up with the inconsistency.

    Great video ?

I think this is great work from the media team and gives the lad confidence and makes him feel he's wanted at the club.. A lot of hard work has gone in on a personal level from the age of seven until now.. Fair play to him ?The important thing now is to keep his head on and off the field.

  6. I've just have a good feeling that Pearson in the 3 years he's here will improve our club ?% will he get us to PREM I'm not sure and even he's said that but I know we will certainly see some quality moving forward and the great thing is he doesn't need vasts amount of money to achieve it. I'm not sure what others think but he just seems to be the right fit for Bristol City football club.

As somebody unable to comprehend the clearly advised benefits of vaccines it comes as no surprise you struggle to appreciate why budgets have to be cut when teams get relegated and why that takes time. Doubtless you'll fail to appreciate Johnson's continuing that he deployed at City, sign player after player after player (even if on loan.) And whilst you'll point to many of these being 'free' sensible folks realise nil transfer free does not equal cheap. Loan arrangement, signing-on fees, agents commissions and, er, wages aren't free nor cheap. You'll recall the latter went from £6m to £32m under his reign here, hence why were presently screwed despite his departure two years ago.

Exactly what Pearson has said no such thing as a FREE transfer and loans cost money etc etc We will be in a better position under Pearson than under Johnson.

We have spent £3-4m on the ‘free’ signings above.

Moore would do a job until the end of the season and we ain’t going down.  Not gonna lose sleep over it mind you !

Moore won't be back a player we can get a fee for, Think he burnt his bridges in training a reason he's out on loan and not come back even though we are short.

  9. It does feel like O'Leary has been around forever but he's never really had a full season of games and still relatively inexperienced for a goalkeeper.Bentley has had the amount of games again he's relatively inexperienced for a goalkeeper but for me hes wasteful with distribution but better in other areas, O'Leary looks more accomplished at this yes other areas need improving but I think the more he plays the more Pearson guides him I think he's going to be a solid goalkeeper,No goalkeeper is perfect and will 100% without doubt make mistakes.

  10. Pearson won't sell our best players it's about coaching it's improving players, You can see from Pearsons days at Leicester he didn't spend millions he said 100% that he doesn't recruit players like that. Yes we let in six today but going forward we looked good.
