  1. At the risk of this being a “whooosh” comment,,, he was taken to hospital twice in a month with serious head injuries and hasnt been near the playing squad since and nige has confirmed he wont play again this season….
  2. Saw this earlier on social media, i went to school with al, and used to go out for drinks with him for a number of years,,, as well as going to city games. He was always fun loving and was the biggest city fan i ever knew. Rest in peace big al
  3. Have to agree, the guy had everything it needs to succeed, but it just doesnt happen,,, im sure hes making a great living too, and that money should be invested better elsewhere
  4. That second goal is as good as ive seen from us in quite a while,,, i think it’s quite possible that semenyo will hit double figures if he stays fit this season
  5. Yes, and also, if watford bid 8 million for massengo in the summer, who in their right mind would turn that down?
  6. Also, pring is how old now?? 24? Being able to compete in the championship at towlers age is extremely difficult,, i think technically hes good enough but in terms of concentration and experience he needs lots of games to build up to it,,, he might have a similar pathway to pring to get there, but im fairly comfortable that he will be a good player for us in the years to come
  7. Well done to him,,, has worked hard to get there, hope he plays many more games!
  8. Yep, we all wish him well, but some idea of what bakers long term prospects would be ideal,,, though im sure the club knows more than we do.
  9. Yes, me too,, its not chris martins fault hes been flogged for 5 months, but having semenyo back suddenly gives us energy going forwards that can almost match weimanns, and must be a nightmare to play against! Shame about joe williams, and the money pissed up the wall by previous regimes, but relying on youth players has enabled us to stumble across some energy and passion… now if we could just get some defensive organisation going….
  10. Matt hills son, james, is also on that link, england youth player for fleetwood! Born in Bristol too apparently, but already seems to be linked to the premier league,, and barcelona?!
  11. 72 games according to the commentator today, and its his first assist? And obviously no goals, massengo is a great lad, and may well go on to be a premier league player, but if thats his first assist that is shocking!
  12. Yep, i thought in years past that his lack of footballing “skill/touch” marked him as one to move on,,, however what he gives in sheer bloody minded energy and leading from the front is irreplaceable at this point.
  13. Yep,,, why did we sign atkinson??? Couple of decent games at the start of the season, but has gradually gone backwards and is now left on the bench in favour of an out of his depth youth player,,
  14. No put his hand up to apologise then his team mates ran to him
  15. Cause footballers are well known for their high professional stance and not having an ego about how great they are.
  16. Hes played in the euros, and in the nou camp and is a millionaire,, i dont think he particularly gives a shit about getting sent off against qpr, regardless of what a tweet might say
  17. Hasnt he scored 1 in 5/6 games this season? If he played 40 games that would average out at 7/8 goals wouldnt it? semenyo up front gave us the power and pace to really take the game to qpr tonight. Im not knocking martin who has been flogged all season, but the difference today was night and day
  18. Hes not a disgrace,, he clearly is a talented ball player in a team where not many players are very good with the ball… box to box power house of a midfielder he aint, in a decent team who can keep possession he would probably show up pretty well.
  19. Players gave everything, but im in the mood to go and throw a bottle at the ref after that
