  1. He can stay where he currently lives then rather than moving to Wales. Good contract for him
  2. That old chap. Built some train lines. Some stations. A boat. A bridge. Has some links to Bristol. Might’ve heard of him?
  3. Well given that Weimann has been with Austria for about a week and is also in the photo shoot, it was clearly done a while back.
  4. Ah. That they won’t tell you. Because otherwise you might decide it’s worth holding out… they want you to think it’ll rise a ridiculous amount and buy one now.
  5. O’Dowda is shown playing as part of a training game on the Instagram account this morning - he’s putting in a cross for Matty James to score. Wonder if he can claim that as an actual assist ahead of contract negotiations
  6. https://www.efl.com/news/2021/november/efl-fixture-schedule-202223/ Season starts in July (it’s like we’re in Scotland!) and then EFL only postpone during the group stage of the WC, still means a month off. It’ll cover what was an international break this season but it’s 5 games to be scheduled elsewhere vs this season.
  7. 2021/22 season ticket prices and the 2022/23 prices both attached for those who can’t remember what they paid before and are curious what their increase for next season will be

I go to the pub afterwards and if I don’t sit down then I do try for a couple of very casual stretches whilst drinking

Anyone got any advice… been running consistently, no issues. Play weekly football (ie 6-8 aside, nothing serious) as well and up until December had been fine combing both. Got a couple of core abdominal niggles from it. Running itself never caused any flare up, just football. Rested for a couple of months (also mainly due to diary clashes) and returned to football yesterday. Kept it simple without too much exertion but once again today my core is sore and the short run I went for at lunch time felt stiff. Any advice for core muscle injury prevention / cures? I’d guess stretching pre football but other than that… anyone else?

    Bournemouth

I’d say sold out. There were around 280 tickets at 10am

He’s a beast. Also has the record for a double at 15 hours something. He would also have been one of the very few people capable of completing the Green Man and then also going to watch City v Birmingham. A good reason why I took my 10 hours
  12. Football Index, the pyramid scheme, crashed last Spring and QPR/Forest both ditched them

Very nicely done. 6 hours 20 (like the first finisher!) or 12 hours, the distance is the same and it’s a beast. The summer edition is easier on the legs (if you manage the heat / hydration)….

Sorry - didn’t see this! How’d you do? I dislike mud… managed to come home in 10:14 tho so that’ll do. And missed a shit City game, oh well

Unsure. Did the summer in 10:25 but that was poor strategy. 9:20 moving time on Strava. Very sparse field so by the last two CPs I was just running my own race and spent ages at each CP just … idling. By CP4 I knew I wouldn’t hit 10 hours so ambled in without much care / quite dehydrated by then. So I think 10 hours could be possible BUT the mud isn’t my friend. Might try the same again as summer- hang to Mr 10 hour time lord until I bail.

Ah see you there! Any idea what time you’re hoping for? I did the summer GMU last August kinda as a whim coming out of 17/18 months of Covid tedium. Furthest I’d ran before was Gordano Round trail route around 27 miles. The step up to 46 miles wasn’t that difficult… just longer

Utterly horrible out there these days. where’s a nice calm sunny day?
  18. Slowly but surely yes. It doesn’t pay to be one of the final clubs left looking for a sponsor so at least we’ve gotten ahead of that.
  19. I’d forgotten and got a text to remind me but as I turned on it slipped to 10-3. It’s obviously gotten more entertaining since. What a shambles. At least it’ll be finished before MOTD
  20. Could’ve gone up automatically if we did have a goalscorer for those last few weeks…
  21. And no professional footballer ever wildly appeals for a throw / corner / free kick that they know is the oppositions? The same Matty James who fell over in a 50/50 challenge outside our box, heard no whistle and yet still proceeded to scoop the ball into his arms hoping the referee wouldn’t penalise him for handball?
  22. Someone on Radio Bristol last night (I’m aware that right away that’s a red flag to common sense) said he should never play for the club again. aka “Bristol City fan reacts in heat of the moment after getting frustrated with poor referee” … but is that the Radio Bristol numpty or Andy King I’m talking about?
  23. The ball was on the line at all times. That isn’t out of play, the same as the ball not being full over the line means it isn’t a goal.
  24. After 90 minutes, with the ref not giving decisions “our way” and Weimann already booked for arguing with the ref? Play to the whistle ffs. Don’t stand there with your arms in the air crying for a free kick. Clear the ball then remonstrate. Might be tired after running around all game but once again it is a lack of concentration / application at a key point that has let us down.
