-
Yes , that would be sensible
-
A lot of a club Forums have similar so I can’t see why not As long as no one is touting tickets for profit seems oerfectly legal , and a good shout Just noticed on West Ham’s they have a whole subsection for match day ticket requests , spares etc etc

‘Aggressive’ for me On the ball with intent , and off it in terms of press / pressure on ball
-
Absolutely , Terry saved the Club as such by the job he did with our first team He simply didn’t have the support m finance or facility to do anymore He had a submarine to stop sinking

That was a lively day

Yes , smashed one in from 25 yards , hat trick IIRC , and hobbled off a few mins later

Arsenal 0 Bristol City 1 august 1976 radio question
Sheltons Army replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
Yes , just the 134 after he left us , for Bolton and WBA , at ‘this’ level , and above !! Fml I was a big fan of Carl Shutt and gutted when we traded him .....but what came in that trade ....Booooooom Not often we’ve done that -
Arsenal 0 Bristol City 1 august 1976 radio question
Sheltons Army replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
Don’t........up there , ironically about now , as one of the worst decisions made at this Club in my years I was witness to a conversation when Lumsden stated he ‘wouldn’t get goals at this level’ -

For a bloke who wasn’t the tallest , Super Bob was superb with his head , timing , and that ability to hang in the air -
And Silvio The first manager , and one of only a couple or so , prior to NP who worked on the health of the Club , not just the first team . We had no schoolboy / youth system when he took over following the crash, and he spent many evenings , and time , to drive a plan and improvement to rectify this , with our first version of an academy.

In fairness to Manning mate I’m not sure there would be many who wouldn’t be with the current cauldron **** me did they ever ‘not read the room’ Id love to know whether they even considered the view And vibe of the fanbase and the potential backlash when they instigated their cull As they are so stupid , it’s difficult to tell but Crayon Boys reference to fans (The I want it NOW brigade) wanting NP out after the game at Xmas / NY last year suggests they didn’t have an accurate handle on the fans views at all Maybe they were just so stupid they did , but disregarded it

Yes, thanks for the OP Silvio * Though , probably like most , it’s refuelled my level of anger and total disgust at the clowns who made the call !

Tbf Im not convinced NPs manual , would necessarily align with a LM process style coach , I might be wrong but ai believe if you have a DoF / Technical Director the fit with tha manager / head coach needs to be aligned Also not a job that you could push onto a NP , unless he himself decided that it suited him at that point in his career What is ironic is that right now LM could do with a wise old head to support him and help him through this s******m

Not sure he did any coaching but he was certainly out and about on the grass having a joke with players and fuelling a togetherness I always thought he was Nigels extra set of eyes and ears , helping to steer the ship

The nice thing is , with someone like NP , he will appreciate and care far more , about what the fan on the terrace, or people that have worked with him , think of him, than clueless suits. I hope that whilst he tootles around Devon or the Mendips many City fans , on their tootles, will express sincere thanks , and shake him by the hand. I am absolutely sure they do , and that will mean a lot to him

And Dave Rennie - I got the distinct impression that he was a vital cog in the atmosphere and culture and clearly someone respected and revered by NP Another massive gap to fill, certainly personality wise

Yes didn’t the Women’s team coach make several comments about his support and help He was such an unlike , left field , appointment for the Lansdowns But ..........We finally had a really wise , experienced football man at the Club , a man of absolute integrity , and a true leader for the CLUB , not just the first team on a match day And then they stabbed him in the back

I may be wrong but I got the impression that he really bought into the Club But not to the degree of Lee Johnson who ‘loved the club’ as some repeatedly claimed on here , obviously

Yes , great post @Olé far closer to the truth / reality Over the decades , with NP in charge , was a period I was really content with him in charge and the overall vibe of the players / squad Barcelona we were not , and those who want things yesterday were whining What I really enjoyed and appreciated was I knew that no longer did we have lightweights with crap attitudes picking up big wages , that he was supporting the young homegrown players , that he got the fans , that he was honest , and dug us out of an almighty hole , with hardly a hint of a moan , and absolutely zero b*****t I liked the vibe and apparent atmosphere and culture that he , Fleming , Euell and Rennie appeared to have fostered. One of the few managers at this level under who I never thought we could get relegated Of course results matter , and to some they are the b all and end all, but to me feeling proud of the manager his staff , and playing staff was a real joy. @Harry implies that there weren’t many who supported NP all along and of course there were some who he grew on , but I think a fair number , like myself who could see what a big task he had , that he was absolutely the right man to be taking on the task , and enjoyed and admired the way he went about it Of course there are some who were anti Pearson , chipping and whining away , and even some now who are fixated on how many home wins , how many ppg, and , totally oblivious, or blind to , what he actually did here There are periods for a football club where there are things more important than ppg , numbers of home wins , away wins , style of football. I still and will always believe that with the vast majority of appointments we may have made we would be sat back in League One where history indicates it takes us an average of 8 years to get out of.

And Whats worrying , possibly frightening . is he is by far the most experienced , or at least the longest in the game, football person at the club , by some distance.
