Why Are We Constantly Celebrating Average & Our Failed Past?
Sheltons Army replied to Tim Monaghan's topic in Football Chat
This surely isn’t the same poster who was extremely rude and dismissive of a certain poster , and unable to gain any traction or support , like a 6 yr old primary school child , renamed himself ‘Spreadsheet Boy’...... Is it ? Face to face never a concern for me Len -
Why Are We Constantly Celebrating Average & Our Failed Past?

Wow The irony......oh my From a poster who is , and was, so far up Lee Johnson’s bowels they’ve contracted the Indian Tunnel Rescuers , just so you could breathe ** As for you Suggesting just ‘keep rolling the dice’ it sums up your thought process absolutely and puts you on the football knowledge level of the Lansdowns ** A bit of a theme with the very very few who keep liking each other’s , anti NP posts -
Agree Although we lost the tie , our performances against Man City , who were ‘at it’ , unlike Man Ure , were much better IMO United Memorable absolutely due to Bryan’s goal , a dramatic winner and a win ! But performance wise I put the Man City , particularly away , performances up there with our performances against that Leeds side in 74 and the two performances against a very good , fully focused , Forest side in 89

Are Aston Villa overreacting to so called abuse of Watkins?
Sheltons Army replied to Mr Popodopolous's topic in Football Chat
Out of interest , where is this from ? Seems somewhat strange if people are fighting over it and others are walking out , that it attracted no attention from , or complaints made to , the stewards , or reported by the numerous ways it can be done anonymously -

And anyone who thinks NP is , and the job he did here is / was average ........ Doesnt have much of a concept of the **** we were in and the job done to keep us in the Championship whilst baling out Bizarre......and mind boggling IMO I maintain most appointments at that point would see us currently moaning in League 1 -
Why Are We Constantly Celebrating Average & Our Failed Past?

For the purpose of your ‘debate’ measured by winning LDV Vans trophies, WOW we did this before the Lansdowns too , and you moan about us harping back to significant wins in major competitions ! securing promotions, Always good , but you had to get relegated to L1 before you could get promoted from it Championship playoff final, yes........one establishing a new stadium, Its not a new stadium , it’s a developed / modernised stadium , a state-of-the-art training ground, Very nice , and long overdue , but it’s not ‘state of the art’ and maintaining financial stability as a Championship club, ??? By losing significant sums , often by their poor decisions - financial stability because SL has covered those losses then they've undeniably been successful. - -

Basically an OP , and posts since that are an anti NP thread trying to be disguised as something else ... For someone who gets so upset about anything good said about Pearson and any posts or threads about Pearson , you raise him on multiple occasions , and your main focus , on your original post , .....which Is ironic But Jon’s trying ok thanks -

Debate ? ? ? Basically you’ve posted, in general terms , criticising the forum , current threads , and the fanbase for their mentality...... With your significant contribution .........suggesting we all ‘get with the times’ What does this actually mean ? When something is actually happening there are plenty of posts on the current and the future if that’s what you crave -

Or in more simple terms You are , ( besides being a fierce defender of anything Lansdown ) , and always have been, Anti Nigel Pearson and get the hump with anyone who did / does rate him , as well as having a bit of a jealousy spot about one popular poster....... Read your post again .... then tell us who has an obsession with our ex manager ...... a very negative obsession......- 190 replies

Blimey , didn’t realise Dewsbury-Hall had that sort of pace ! Three top finishes
-
Their three goals were all on the break , from Wolves attacks and set pieces

What a great post Value for money , probably the best squad we’ve had since promotion
-
Having blamed everything in the world , weekly , on NP for the last 2 or so years Its the turn of the players now .......?
-
Or , clearly an irritant to the some Anti Np ..... A sensible and accurate observation or reaffirming that , as many predicted , and believe he would , NP has left , whatever your individual opinion about ability level , or quality, a squad of decent professionals with a good attitude (Actually a pretty rare thing in all my years) , and thus a decent base from which Liam Manning has to work from. And you’ve also missed another major point , Its not about winning the game 1-0 , it was about the attitude of the players , their professionalism and application Its a label that can be made normally in win , draw , or defeat in this squad - Above anything , I really like that
-
I know it must irritate when someone gives praise to NP.... But I think John was referring to commitment and effort and the characters / professionals we have. I don’t think anyone slated commitment or attitude the last two games. The summary & character of the type NP assembled is a fair one is it not ?
