  1. Ross McCrorrie stating that NP sent him a really nice text message when he made his debut after his illness Class , and unsurprising
  2. Have a go at explaining your laughable comment and how you ..... you knew better
  3. Really Tell us more You were at the HPC daily , with the squad daily yes ? you had a good overview of the squad , the dynamics and personalities , and whether a loan coming in would be a good thing , yes ? Priceless tosh #FootballManager
  4. If you had any grey matter and bothered to listen you might have learnt why NP didn’t want loans here for the majority of his time here Big ask for you I know in amongst your serial bed wetting NP an idiot ...coming from you....... priceless
  5. He was on the edge of the box or just outside when Keane shot Absolutely no need to storm out there , he made Keanes job a whole whole lot simpler Stay on or just outside your six yard box to reduce the free target and you make Keanes job a challenge Im not out for knocking MOL but your take is nonsense , with due respect It was a very poor decision and piece of goalkeeping
  6. Good and interesting post MM Ive made the point recently , and the new in vogue of young tracksuit coaches , undoubtedly with good coaching theory and backgrounds , are likely to make or try to make their sides comfortable in possession , religiously following core principles etc etc But can they translate that or I’d say add to that with those other ingredients that make your team a winning team , a consistently winning team Those little tweaks , moments of man management , Ferguson moments if you like , ruthless even ,as basic as at h/t telling Keane to nail an influential player in the first ten mins of 2nd half This isn’t directed at LM in particular but the whole in vogue head coach , young , tracksuit coach and the other skills that others bring as Managers
  7. Would make my Best ever City XI picked on professionalism and attitude Every manager at any level dreams of having a Messi , or KDB , but in reality Andi Weimann is a managers dream Right Back , sure boss no problem Left wing, ok sure..... Thats as someone with a CV who we’ve rarely attracted here , what an example for younger pros in he squad , and further down, happy to play any part , often to personal detriment or ideal , in helping the team The way he worked his way back from his ACL in the timescale a glaring example of everything AW Have always appreciated , and respected , and always will , any player that with relentless focus , gives absolutely everything week in week out , for the Club and he can absolutely wear that medal Theres not that many in reality that can , so a sad day , and genuine best of luck and good fortune to him ,if he departs
  8. Complete tosh In your weekly anti Pearson agenda , stretching back years you appear to have missed what I believe to actually be the turning point , and a red warning light That was when Jon ‘completely unqualified’ Lansdown made public comments a year or so earlier that we should be doing better than we were That was whilst Pearson was still in the latter stages of doing surgery on the mess he inherited. His comments typified his complete lack of football knowledge and understanding , and an early alert that in no way did he or Daddy actually have any appreciation for the job Pearson had done to date. I would guess , and there were indications that, that p****d Pearson off and understandably I would think Pearson’s view of JL in particular was going to be difficult from that point on. Any friction or breakdown in relationship lies at the Lansdowns door , particularly at Junior , later helped and fuelled I’d suggest by our Football Expert
  9. A very basic coaching principle and phrase The run attracts / invites the pass , not the other way round
  10. On fire tonight Silvio , on fire
  11. My big question of the modern trend of young tracksuit coaches is can they influence in game and can they find ways to win , and win consistently A separate skill set / challenge for any man in charge , and not a dig at LM , but there are good and very good ‘managers’ in the past who weren't necessarily great ‘coaches’ ,but good ‘managers’ and ‘winners’. One of Liams hills to climb
  12. Don’t feed the idiot troll One , Hes come out with the same s***e numerous times , like he does with all his attention seeking s***e , and has been shown to be talking s***e each time Not only an embarrassing troll but incredibly clueless about absolutely anything City related
  13. What a great interview Some good questions and some very good ones , and some very good and interesting answers and insights The fact that Manning answers them with such ease I like Liked even more some of the content in his answers , yes you can say it’s talk , but speaking , and not for the first time , of how delighted he was in the way and how quickly ,the squad have absorbed what they are trying to do - assuming that’s true , (and no reason to disbelieve him , he comes across as pretty straight / no b******t) that’s a real good sign As important as having good coaches are , the ‘students’ attitude and ability to absorb just as important Really liked what he said about senior players and how they try and use them , tap into them - great use IMHO and undoubtedly makes them feel very valued too Lots of other little revealing bits too I like what I hear from him , and if he can use his coaching skill and intelligence things look really promising Will be interested to see the early signs of his recruitment , and then whether he can turn us into a (consistently) winning side Promising
  14. Absolutely I have met Phil on a number of occasions going back , and a nicer , down to earth , friendly bloke , and more football mad bloke ,you couldn’t hope to meet. Just loves the game Surprised his managerial career hasn’t gone better
  15. @headhunter Dave, I came across this pod the other day Clearly the host (top right) is different , but you may like to ask Ian , Mark , and Fevs why they are going on others pods behind your back !
  16. IIRC After the Walsall PO Semi 2nd leg , we got back from Walsall and immediately began queueing for tickets, and overnight , for the Play Off back at Walsall on the Monday
  17. In fairness , they would have got the same number we were given and probably could have sold out at that time - they hadn’t had a big away game in donkeys years The hilarious bit is he claim about being the loudest away fans
  18. I thought it was a cold but bright day ! We were pulled apart that day
  19. It’s a good draw really , for our amusement at least You know there’s plenty of beauties to come , one way or another
  20. No , but there will be 10,000 in Stanley Park , hoping to get a late ticket
  21. Imagine how gutted 60,000 scousers would be if Norwich sneak thro and deny them a chance to see da bestest team in England , and get to witness da 20,0000 bestest loudest supporters ever
