  1. yes It was a ‘EP of ‘City’ Songs Awful
  2. Firstly , no you don’t have to have that playing experience / credibility , but it certainly isn’t a negative to have that experience and experience you can’t acquire on a course We can all find examples of outliers in any direction we wish to prove a point but if you can’t see , for us he potentially brings knowledge and experience we don’t have in the building I’m surprised. Secondly , you are talking about Head Coaches managers in your examples - Head Coach / Manager - another additional skill set required We are not talking about appointing him as a head coach at this point in his career but utilising his professionalism , knowledge and experience within a set up
  3. Track record ? Hes a player moving into coaching ,........ been a bit busy playing and winning the a Premier League Theres far more ingredients to a good coach , certainly a head coach , than years of experience putting on sessions / mini sessions , in academies , age groups etc
  4. None of whom have any experience of getting to , close to , or playing in Premier League , or what is required to get there , let alone winning it You don’t appear to value what that brings Correct - You don’t need to be a Premier League Winner or ‘older statesman’ , but it certainly brings credibility and experience that others simply can’t provide
  5. Top post My concern somewhat right now The rumours about James not being retained , King , Andi gone Some of our strong positive areas in the last few years , the very good pros and leaders , by example , in the dressing room to help and guide the younger , that mix , appears to be breaking up quite quickly It was something I really liked in the way NP shaped his squad with the restrictions he had I remain of the belief that our recruitment and squad build / rebuild in the next 12-18 months will very much shape our future and success or failure , even more so that any coaching by a Manning & Hogg It will be interesting if Manning / Tinnion replace the wiser older heads or believe that they don’t require such in the dressing room My gut feeling is that they won’t be recruiting experience , which IMHO is a big risk
  6. I don’t know where he is paper qualification wise , but (And not a dig at LM) but he has at the very least experience, and any knowledge that brings, that no one (Other than MJ who missed the Premier League winning season through injury) currently at the club does. He is the only player to have won all three top divs with one club since the Premier League inception. If he wants to continue his playing career , fair enough , and very best of luck to him If it’s a case of he’s no longer part of any plans going forward , as a City Fan , a tremendous pro , with the vast experience and knowledge he’s attained, I find it somewhat sad that we don’t think we can benefit from that and have him within our set up now , or if he wants to continue playing right now, when he finishes his career. As in all aspects of life , paper qualifications prove that you have the ‘qualification’ to do the job Not having that paper qualification, or still working towards it certainly is zero indication that you can’t do that job and do it well
  7. Of course Forget context , circumstances or any other part of the task Didn't get us in the play offs innnnit.......... Jesus wept
  8. ‘Hadn’t moved the club forward’ ........ Oh my ...... some of our fans.......
  9. No , not a wind up That’s according to Henry Winter
  10. Dean Holden off to Saudi as Steven Gerrards Assistant !
  11. I know they go on about fixture congestion and burn out But that’s crazy
  12. Apparently Wael heard stories of yesteryear about ‘The Shed’ at his beloved Chelsea ’ Yes , we must be like the great Chelsea ...... a Shed we shall build .....’
  13. You get the impression that he’s a good lad to have on your side , a warrior One you’d want alongside you to go into battle
  14. It’s all opinion but I can’t believe that you think it’s any form or grain of a good idea Theres a line , Ferguson beasted players behind doors but never in public , in public he defended them like a lion and I can hardly think of a manager whose ever done it in this way Its a no no , with very good reasons , and I can hardly think of a worse example in all my years You really aren’t going to have a positive effect on any of your players doing so and embarrass yourself in the process. The ironic thing is , if a manager had talked about Deeney like that in public to the media , he would probably ended up on a hospital Ward.
  15. On a more positive note It’s good to see Meccano is still going
  16. This is Troy Deeney Listen to his own accounts of his (Cringeworthy and unprofessional) behaviour when he wanted to force a move from Walsall and do you seriously think that his public rant is going to have a positive effect on his players - seriously ? Strong words , (Not a humiliation) behind closed doors is a massive gamble , to do it publicly - suicide and horrendous management
  17. I’d suggest if you’d got to the stage of blunt talking behind closed doors , and there’s no reaction or response , you shouldn’t be picking said player. Also Deeney’s Rant (And that’s what it was) wasn’t even sensible criticism or observation , he appears to have set out to humiliate the player and makes him sound to all and sundry like a Sunday League Pub Player How anyone can think that might work or can be constructive is beyond me Troy Deeney to a tee
  18. Very likeable and great attitude
  19. I had heard we were in for this lad but the bloke who likes to pretend he’s ITK () , the one who who gives lectures on what’s wrong and what should be done , says that he’s not the target.
  20. And the %10 pot from all the ties throughout the competition gets split amongst all clubs at end IIRC
  21. If we are going to get into Premier League in next 4/5 years , my gut feeling is Tommy needs to be part of it How long have we wished for a homegrown striker , fine player , a goal scorer , plenty of room for development and seems to have that winners edge about him Those two goals against West Ham showed real glimpses of quality His adjustment of his stride pattern to set up his shot on goal at London Stadium His anticipation for last nights , and how he actually stayed on his feet I’m not sure . to then compose himself to finish - top drawer
  22. Just caught up with SOTC from Monday Nice interview with Andi about his move , confirms he’s almost certainly played last game for us , how he loved every moment here and sounded quite choked Class from a class professional 11.15 in ‘Oh for a team of Andi Weimanns’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0h2rbw5
