Tell me you know absolutely nothing about football without saying you know nothing about football.
I am right….
I gave it a good stab for you

Just now, Betty Swallocks said:
Hasn’t always been league goals, just look at Haaland, everyone talks about how many goals in total this season with only a brief mention as to how many in each competition.
You’re talking shite again.
I will be talking ‘shite’ when he scores 10 goals in a season.
Surely not to much to ask for a ‘Striker’….
Of course if he can’t quiet manage that, then maybe, just maybe i am right…
He has not done it for last 2 seasons.
But let’s not let the facts get in the way.
Lets see what he does next year and the year after and the year after.
He has plenty of time to prove me wrong.
But until then it’s not my fault.
All I did was say what I saw. He does not look a player who has the composure in front of goal to score enough goals to be considered a Striker.
All I said is I think he is a player who will play in a wide 3.
Two years later and nothing has changed my mind.

So only league goals count now, eh?
What a sad **** you are.
Semenyo is a Prem player now, whatever you think.
I’m fairly confident he’s not going to score a hat trick tomorrow, he’s injured.
Do you mean a said ‘right’ ****
Always been League goals
Bentley is in the Prem but that don’t make him a ‘Striker’
Not my fault he is injured…

He’s scored 10 this season.
7 league goals.
6 for us and 1 for Bournemouth
Prolific…
Ok/Good return for a winger and that is what he is. Wide forward if you prefer and that makes it easier.
But not a Striker
I will post up tomorrow unless he gets a hat trick… Thanks for reminding me

Yes, lovely passer.
Oh, I know!
Seymenyo still not scored 10 goals in a season.
Keep believing he is a Striker….
Of course I am wrong.

"Semenyo is not a striker"
Still not managed 10 in a season.
So yes still not a ‘Striker’
Not my fault…..

I’ve watched a couple of 90s and some highlights too…set todays to record.
So far looks pretty poor. Looks like he would get caught every time they play inside down the right.
Gets caught for pace and does not track his runner. It’s against Celtic and maybe he is not interested as leaving.
He is not £2m worth looking at this so far.

Masson Clarke looks a decent player. Was at Barnet
Posh don’t do cheap deals and don’t know what they paid I guess 150k
Shame as £1m would be a good punt.
Strong, got pace and pretty sure would give championship defences a difficult time.

Would love one more season, for us to buck the trend of not selling when we don’t have to.
This summer is gonna have some twists and turns isn’t it?
Have a feeling he might stay one more year.
£25m asking price could price him out of deal.
Ward Prouse at Southampton will move for 25m ish so on paper that looks a better deal.
Hope he goes and we get a loan back. Circa 20m would still be a pretty decent deal. Brighton could have the money if they sell 2 players.
-
The key is Scott to next season.
If he goes and we have 15m added to budget then top 6 is def possibility.
If he stays then with 3 or 4 clever signings top 6 is possible
If we just continue improvement as this year and a few singing then top 10 is pretty likely.
I think Pearson has his team in mind and he is clear on the missing pieces.
We need to both trust and back him and I actually believe in the next 3 years we will be playing in the prem have not thought that for a very long time.

Massive progress
3 or 4 players away from a promotion push.
Football is much better to watch
We stay in games for 90 mins
Much harder to beat don’t look a soft touch anymore.
More pace in the side.
Very little dead wood in the squad
Transfer policy looks much better
Have the best young player outside the prem
Have a good manager who knows how to get promotion.
Only downside - The kit shambles (The away kit better be good)

Ins: Ross McCrorie,
Maybe: Jack Currie, Joe Bryan, Kasper Schmeichel
Outs: Alex Scott, HNM, Kalas, DaSilva, Bajic, Kane Wilson, and King to be retained as a coach.
Would not be surprised if Weimann or Pring moved on either. Also Out Def Taylor More and Edwards is likely
That would make 8 going out
Will need maybe 5.

Keep changing the goal posts to fit your agenda as per.
Would have likely hit 10 with us but great to see him get his prem account open.
Not changed the goal post ?
Would of, could of, should have
But hasn’t. Not my fault…
Not knocking him. Read my posts made it very clear I like him but wide in a front three.
I just said I did not think he will score enough goals to be considered a ‘Striker’. I don’t think he is clinical In front of goal.
It just an opinion that at the ‘moment’ that is correct.
Had he scored 10 in a season - No
He has plenty of time to prove me wrong.
As soon as he does I will change the post and I am sure I will notified of my post.

'He isn't a striker they score goals'
7 so far this season…
That was my post a few years ago
Said I will change the title if he scores 10 league goals in a season.
Still waiting…
But can’t say the kid has not done well for himself and he will be a premiership player next season that’s some achievement
If he gets 10 in the premiership next season that will be some achievement and hopefully we get a few quid in bonus payments.
-
Only 29 got 2 or 3 good years left.
If we can afford him it’s a no brainer.
Play in at least 3 positions.
Attitude never in question model pro , Bristolian and a great player.
Hope it’s true.
Also Pring is nearly 26 not as young as some think on hear.
Pring and Joe cut from the same cloth.
Would make are squad much stronger.

He's only played a full 90 minutes 6 times this season in the league and he was coming back from injury at the start of the season. He had just had his longest run of consecutive 90 mins (4 games) and had scored 3 times.
Had he stayed, he'd have breezed to 10. Probably finished somewhere on 12/15 assuming he stays fit.
It's really not that hard to just admit you went OTT and were wrong. I thought Vyner would never be good enough for us and wanted him sold, now he looks very solid. I was wrong about that. It's just a football forum, doesn't matter that much.
Still the facts say 6 goals and it’s almost Feb.
Again not my fault they are the stats.
A ‘Striker’ will judged on his goals and he only has 6.
Again not saying he ain’t good.
He is someone who will only make it playing wide in a front three said that from day one.
Why wide? Because he ain’t a Striker he is not good enough in front of goal and is not natural finisher.
Let’s see how many he scores for Bournemouth.
Next season he will be back in the championship so he will get another crack at 10 or more in this division. I make that will be his third attempt.
6 so far let’s see if he gets to 10
If/when he does have said will change the post title.

Probably better to just crawl away and keep quiet at this point.
Why ?
6 goals so far does not say prolific to me.
Its just my opinion.
Its not my fault thats what the stats say that’s down to Antoine and his ability to find the back of the net.
Great winger (or wide forward) if you prefer.
Main Striker through the middle - No. Why? Simply he’s finishing is not good enough. Why? He ain’t a natural finisher.
Watch Wells, Conway, Bell and Martin they all that ability not to panic and pick there finish.
In (my opinion) Antoine has not got that.
That’s why I would play him wide and he is very good there.
Opinions - that just mine.
Will he score regularly in the Premiership? I say no he is not at the level in front of goal.
Only he can prove if that is right or wrong by scoring goals.
Not me, not you it’s down to Antoine.

Seasons only half way mind?
28 games played
But take the point.
6 in 28 = 10 just about for the season.
Granted not been fit but he is never fit for a season always misses chunks of games.
9m for a 10 a season goal Striker looks a bit to much
9m for a 10 a season Winger looks a much better and he does get assists.
I hope Conway is that 15/20 a season ‘Striker’ we need.

I offered you a bet on this and you ignored it. Literally 10 goals and you bottled.
Still an attention seeking ****.
10 million we got for him. As a striker.
You were lucky I did not take the bet.
For the record ‘6’ league goals this season…
They do say a fool and his money are easily parted….
Thanks for the feedback as always.
-
I did wonder when this would be revisited.
And he ‘Never’ did score 10 goals in a season so I guess as painful as it is I was ‘right’…..
I did say I would change the post once he gets 10 goals in a season.
I am sad to see him go.
We will miss him? Yes He is the only player who takes us up the pitch a bit like Albert used to do.
Runs at players and creates space and opportunities. Had power and pace.
We def need a player who can do that. Harry Cornick is a good player and happy to see him join but he is not that player and we do need one.
£10m is great business for the club.
Will he be a success in the Premier league and score goals don’t think so - I am sure I will get reminded of that but still it’s about opinions.
Good player for us ? No…. a great player for us on his day and as I think has been said not many players get you of your feet.
He’s a player who can do it at the highest level ? Not for me as a striker.
As wide in a front three (read my first post) yes maybe but premier is a massive step up.
Was he better than I first saw? - Yes massively improved
Has he scored more goals than I thought he would - Yes
Did he get 10 - NoWould he have done it this season - Maybe yes and I think I might have had to change the post like I said I would.
Seymenyo ‘maybe’ he is a Striker they score goals.
Genuinely gutted he’s left but it’s good for him and the club.
I will be watching him and hoping he proves me wrong (maybe we got a add on for more that 10 goals a season)

No, you didn’t post that 7 days ago, you were replying to the post you made 7 days ago.
I know sometimes talking to yourself is the easiest way to have a conversation on here but if you do that you have to expect someone to at least critique what you are saying to yourself.
Yes I did.

Always said if he scores 10 goals I will change the title of the post.
That’s because I am big enough to admit it when I am wrong.
At the moment I am ‘not’
Also note - it’s not me that brings up the post.
It’s sad **** as someone as called them.
