I would’ve preferred to keep Chris Martin and spend the Semenyo money more wisely, that’s my opinion.

On that reply I think we can all agree not to take anything you say seriously whatsoever.

Keep replying to every single post you possibly can, you are obviously an attention seeking buffoon.

Didn’t Pearson say that we would only sign players who would make us better? In which case signing someone to see a game out isn’t an ideal use of funds. I think Pearson misjudged this signing, as he stated he is a ‘wide forward’ on multiple occasions, something he clearly isn’t based on performances for us.

So we haven't seen out games better with Cornick playing? Would you have preferred Chris Martin staying to try and do that job instead?

So you think City singing songs about Aberfan is OK? Anti semetic chants aimed at Spurs? Songs about Hillsborough? Just because Celtic sing Anti English and Royal songs you're offended. Having been to both Ibrox and Celtic Park, one set of fans was friendly and welcoming, one were psychotic thugs off their t*ts and there was union jacks everywhere!

Telling someone they are offended then posting "there was Union Jacks everywhere"!!

How did you manage to get through the day, the absolute horror. Don't watch the news my friend, there are Palestine and Israel flags on show every single minute, you'll end up giving yourself a heart attack.

I highly doubt they’ll have James Milner on any time soon, regaling them with stories of turning up for training on time every day for 25 years, or how he’d celebrate the champions league by doing the hoovering and making a lasagna.

But you've just summed it up perfectly why they probably wouldn't want Milner on there, nobody wants to hear that as it simply isn't entertaining whatsoever for the huge majority of people. It isn't really a podcast about the serious side of the game.

I've only listened to a few because of the characters that were on there and ex players of ours. Surely back in the day when most of these players on the podcast were playing, that was just a different time, and it wasn't as professional as it is nowadays.

If there is a market for a "plain" Milner type player then there will already be a podcast out there.

I`m wondering why a bunch of our players and staff are following him. It can only be so they can rock up at the HPC and say `Have you seen what the knob posted last night?` and roll around laughing.

It's because they obviously all want to "wear da faamuss quarrterrz innit"

You do realise you don’t have to go around telling people you don’t care or asking why they do care? You’re doing it quite a lot. That’s not part of your role as admin or a board member of the trust.

Perhaps focus on the things people do care about and feeding thing to and from the club.

I'm a bit lost here. What is the difference of anyone who is admin telling someone they don't care or any other member on here saying the same thing?

Any idea when their contract with Ashton Gate is up?
I looked on their website last week and they had a lucrative 3 year contract with Ashton Gate, but the website looked very out of date (still mentioning covid delays, pah!).

I think there’s something more deviant with this.
I wonder if the 3 year contract was coming to an end and Ashton Gate have decided not to renew it, so ETM and gone down the childish route and said “ok, if you won’t renew the contract we’ll eff up your plans”.

There definitely looks to be something very petty about this and I willing be surprised if it was something like the above.

I hope Lansdown is having some quiet conversations with the Council, where he is offering to pay off ETM but only on the basis that the Council never renew any contracts with them ever.

They are quite a profitable family company.

    Turnover 20m +

    6.5m Gross Profit

    2.6m Operational Profit

    2.3m Nett Profit

Makes you wonder why they want someone else to fund the roof over their compound.

How much of that is from the Council?

Because surely when those contracts are up the Council won't be renewing them?

    Are we under achieving?

The league position is so volatile at this point in the season you really shouldn’t read too much into it; we’re 3 points off 6th, but 7 points clear of the relegation places. One win seperates 7th from 16th. And we’ve played the two best teams away from home.

    I wouldn’t say we’re under achieving; I’d say we’re a mid-table club with a mid-table squad doing mid-table things.

If we were just those measly 3 points better off, then there would be complete silence from the same poster. Stating we are 14th is to make it sound like some huge disaster, you'd assume without looking at the table we were close to relegation and miles off the top 6, luckily the majority can see through the posters agenda.

Clueless am I? It’s a game of opinions and I don’t agree with yours as it happens. So there we go but I wouldn’t call you clueless because you are entitled to your opinion!

Max for me is one of our weaker players and yes I do think we could do with an upgrade on our strikers in an ideal world, plus we still lack a creative, goal scoring midfielder and could do with another CB. So I haven’t changed my mind.

It's no use having an echo chamber and everyone having the same view, I think most will agree with that, and it definitely isn't a case of disagreeing for the sake of it.

You seem to be so reactive to any one single thing though. You were saying Pearson could be in trouble if we lost last night, why exactly? Where did this opinion come from? How did you even reach that conclusion?

You seem to keep saying you are a big fan of (whoever makes a mistake) then come to some weird conclusion on why they aren't good enough. Pearson being a prime example, you are a big fan but then say it's his last chance, if we lose he's in trouble etc etc. It really is just reactive nonsense.

Max was very good tonight, the goal went through the legs of a defender right in front of him.

As for “poor positioning” he caught or punched everything that came into the area very well.

I’m sure last week our “priority position” according to you was a “striker with pace”. You say something different every week.

    Clueless.

Last night the manager was in trouble if we didn't win.

Agreed and Max was so poor positionally, a shame because I like Max but I’m still believing we need a more commanding GK. I would say that it’s our priority position along with an attacking CM.

Do you like everyone but then enjoy slating everyone when they don't have their greatest game ever?

Probably because playing in the championship is now beyond him, the likes of Port Vale and Cheltenham is far more up his street

Which in turn simply proves the massive step up, yet some of them think they would actually compete in the Championship and really are not far behind us. Hunt and Martin being huge upgrades to their team shows exactly where they are and proves the point very easily, those 2 players alone would struggle to get in ANY Championship SQUAD, let alone a starting 11.

You didn't want to quote the bit from just before that where he specifically addresses respect/disrespect?

“It is tough and I think the longer it goes on, the tougher it gets,” Scott told the BBC. “There was a lot of noise in the summer regarding my future and stuff and, for me, I really wanted to be as respectful as possible to Bristol City because of what they’ve done for me, the whole club, the staff, the players. And I wanted to go about it in a way that wasn’t disrespectful.

“And I think I did that. I trained every time I could, I played in all the pre-season games, did everything right, but the longer it goes on, and you’re wanting the move, but it’s almost looking like it’s not going to happen, it does get tough."

Ambition doesn't automatically equate to disrespect. Like Reid, Bryan, Kelly and others Scott's development outpaced the Club's development. It's therefore fair that he wanted a move, and he was clearly conscious that he should remain professional as he and his agent/advisors sorted that out.

Ease up there fella, we will have less of that nonsense on here.... Don't quote everything as it won't suit ffs.

So if we lose to Rotherham and Leeds we won’t be in a good position will we…..where will that leave NP? Must win on Wednesday. We have to beat them, Stoke fans said to me yesterday if you can’t beat them then give up, Rotherham are terrible, they’ve thrashed them twice.

I expect it will leave NP firmly in his job if we lose to Rotherham, steering us gradually out of the mess he inherited when he came in, it will at least give you something to cheer about if we don't win, and obviously if we do win you can come on straight after to say "it was only Rotherham though".

I wonder if Pep is bricking it, after all a few people said Wolves are terrible, I mean if he can't get his team to beat them....

I’m talking about the way we played, not the way the result / scoreline changed!

It wasn’t as if their first goal went in and you saw the players shrink into themselves, hide from the ball, etc.  not like Reading a few season ago, 2-0 up at home, they score, and you see the players basically accept they are gonna lose…which we did 3-2.  Every pass goes astray, can’t get out if our half, etc.

Yesterday only one side looked like getting the winner yesterday…us.

The fact we didn’t and they did was a travesty really, and isolated errors cost us.

    Mate, just give it up.

You are not debating a poster with a valid footballing opinion/argument, you are responding to a poster who has an agenda. Better off putting him on ignore as it's the same in any game when there is a chance of his usual moan. Just a very sad individual who needs some attention from somewhere.

  17. We have so many fans who are so reactive to a single result it's unreal.

We could have been out of sight, and then they score a worldie out of nothing and it gave them some confidence. Some poor individual choices at times but even when it was 2-2, we looked more likely to be the team to get the 3 points. Some of the things posted on here are laughable.

Anyone would think this was a performance like the Birmingham one, it was far from it - even if some questionable defending was on show.

A horrible result that's pretty hard to take, but it certainly wasn't some sort of relegation performance.

When have we had “early mornings” kick offs vs our two Welsh counterparts? Please accept my apologies if I’m incorrect but I can’t remember “repeatedly” kicking off in the “early morning” vs Bluebirds and Swans - I may be wrong ...

Last season, I wasn't in Bristol at the time though, but it was a 430am ko. So for many people it will repeatedly be moved to "early morning" if we want to be pedantic....
