If a team comes back in for £10M do you think we take it
I think we won’t if we have a chance of top 6 as it’s worth the gamble

For me on Wednesday night he had a poor 1st half, much improved 2nd. Yes undoubtedly a great talent and has all the attributes you need and some. Not 100% AS yet. I said to my Nephew, if he was 100 % those defenders would of been ragged dolled 1st half. A game or 2 more and he’ll be back to his best.
Hopefully he can fire us in to the top 6 before the World Cup because if he is not signing a new deal he will be off in January as we must make the maximum profit

A little surprised he hasn’t got his own thread after Tuesday’s game, so thought I’d start one.
Thought he was excellent, whether it was a tactical decision or not he was pressing well for most if not all of the game. Was a real handful against the best defence in the league. The cunning Cunningham could not deal with him which was enjoyable to watch. If I had to pick faults it would be that he spends a little too much time on the ball and takes a player on rather than pass, but I wouldn’t want to discourage him from taking them on. At times yesterday Preston looked shit scared of him, and again, every time he picked up the ball I thought something was going to happen. He’s a joy to watch this lad and dare I say it, ol’ Tony is almost back to his best.
He’s a class act and has come a long way since he came back in last Season.
Pearson has polished the gem

“Although I'm not sure anybody saw that decision coming. It was a big call and there was a lot of pressure on the manager and goalkeeper to get that right last night particularly considering the recent run of results.”
How satisfying thanks Nigel for this moment.

Absolutely brilliant tonight, boy have we missed him.
Won everything in the air, calm on the deck.
Class act.
Don’t underestimate how assured we were with O’Leary also onwards and upwards with this back line

Wasn't it this time last season Pearson dropped Bentley or was that earlier?. I expected changes tonight but that wasn't one of them.
Johnson dropped him before lockdown, Holden dropped him this is the 2nd time around for Pearson seeing the light
Brentford dropped him then made a Play off final 2 years running

Congratulations Pearson for seeing sense David Bentley now dropped 4 times in the last 3 seasons for form GET OUT of there you mug
By 3 different managers shambles

If Bentley is poor at coming for crosses and dominating the area, we need to ensure the defenders in front of him can do that for him. We need tall aggressive defenders who will put their heads where it hurts, block crosses, and leave Bents to his positives of shot stopping and one on one’s.
We play Andy King at centre back. A 5’ 10” attacking midfielder.
If @Logical-City truly believes DB is the cause of our defensive issues then they does not understand football.
Are you kidding Bentley is the main cause for the last 3 years his positioning is put simply of a non league standard hopefully we see the new keeper soon
In 3 seasons we have had different defensive line ups with one constant and for these 3 seasons we have conceded more goals than I have ever witnessed without relegation as the result
Im over it and if you like a highlight reel player over consistent solid performances then it is you my friend that has the low football IQ

My word, how embarrassing.
Bentley is a good keeper, and has saved us many points over the year's.
Embarrassing is backing a keeper with the highest goals against column in the league this season and I’m pretty certain previous seasons but mock me instead of facing facts I’m a big boy
End conclusion for me Bentley is a part of the problem not solution, good news is I think Pearson is on my side not yours
My football knowledge is obviously superior to yours I don’t get blinded by random reflex save keepers seen them before

What has caused this absolute meltdown hahaha. Everything okay at home mate? @Logical-City
Just trying to be extreme to make people see my point of view mate I’m great thanks

To put in terms some of you may understand Bentley is as bad in Goal as you believe the Hitler of football management and figure of irrational hate Lee Johnson to be in management
Hope that helps you understand the communicative ****** we have between the sticks currently
And before you say LJ signed him he also dropped him and I would love to have been privy to the conversation him and Pearson had when he was dropped for quote “form” last year I’m sure that conversation would have had some of you guys in tears
-
I recalled a similar fascination amongst fans and pundits with Steve Phillips another flapper but in a lower league, what happened when we dropped him after 6 seasons of bottling and showboat random saves to cover up for the basic errors and anxiety he spread amongst defenders
we got promoted and made a championship play off final
Im not saying that will happen just saying Daniel or David Bentley is crap

Better get your wallet out then sunshine, as the club haven’t got a pot to piss in right now!
If on the other hand, you’re better than him and willing to play for free, offer your services and get them gloves on!!!
Don’t need a wallet get a youth team player or reserve in there he is a fraud I promise you he will be dropped soon for our new keeper we signed in the summer Pearson isn’t daft

That is indeed a distinct possibility….depending on who replaces him.
Did you rate Maenpaa?
I’d say more a Renault Megane….good when it’s a running but shit electrics.
Yes Maenpaa was better never put a foot wrong with the basics which is what you need, get that right and you won’t require the last ditch defending and reaction saves he encourages with his game

No, he isn’t. I can assure you.
The moment we replace him behind the sticks our consistent form will see an upturn as Johnson and Holden found out too late

He’s not crap.
Is he top drawer? Nope. And no he’s not gonna get a PL gig…unless he’s happy to not play unless emergency.
Is he top-end Champ? Nope.
He’s an adequate Champ keeper. If you think he’s Lg2, you wanna watch some of them.
If we have aspirations to go up (at some point) we will need better. At the mo’, we can’t afford to replace.
So what do you do in our situation?
Oh he is crap I assure you

Considering David Bentley was a winger then yes I will admit that FF was probably a better keeper.
Brilliant he must be your mate
Resembles O'Driscoll

The comparison to O’Driscoll is the negative speech I hear in pre/post match interviews, limiting our expectations and ambition based on said the size of our club …our finances in comparison to others…being “realistic”
Clubs we have competed with at League 1 level in the last 20 years have been promoted to the championship before us , promoted to the premier league , experienced back to back relegations Blackpool, Wigan…Luton went all the way back to the conference, hell Rotherham look as likely as us to compete or better this season.
treading water for decades
Gary Johnson took us from League one for 7 years to a Championship play off final in 3 years…with belief
Pearson is unfortunately and I want him to succeed not inspiring the fan base and in turn the players to be ambitious for this club, he has unearthed, improved and polished some great young players but clubs like us need a spark rather than a sensible head in my opinion,
LJ was sacked because we weren’t breaking in the top 6 …Pearson has been in the top 6 with us once in 3 years…for 5 days
We need to dream again not be “realistic “
