  1. There fan's will be thier own worst enemy wear ever they're games are.
  2. When people mention them rotating their pitch, in my mind I imagine it continually rotating the whole game, like a spinning turntable. Keep the goals fixed where they are, the players have to work out which is the right goal to score in. Must be good for entertainment value, might get lucky with some own goals.
  3. Good point, you don't want to see flares on the pitch, not cool.
  4. Any guesses as to what the bucket is for?
  5. It seems I have misunderstood the meaning of 'promotion chasing' 6 yellow cards? The ref will need a new pencil.
  6. I only know one Sunderland fan. He is originally from there but now prefers to work from Bristol.
  7. I don't like the faded, washed out look of any colour. Maybe it sends me a subliminal message of tiredness or worn out or something, sort of a Sunday pub team kit that hasn't changed for 10 seasons. Much prefer a strong tone of almost any colour, sends the right messages to my brain, even luminous colours like Arsenal's stripy away kit.
  8. Wasn't it just to stop displaying controversial messages on the base layer? A bit harsh when it ends up displaying 'Happy Birthday Grandma' and what happens if they just pull it up a bit?
  9. I think if it is going to be retro then go full retro rather than 10 to 15 years back. The home kit will always be close to previous years, the away kit is where the wiggle room is obviously. I would want strong colours, whatever they are, nothing that looks faded or washed out like this seasons yellow and green. That is why I liked the lime and purple.
  10. Maybe we should have an image of some tape across the chest to suit our reputation of being the team who end runs?
  11. So now we know, Shergar has been playing up front for Rovers all this time. Why the long face? League form.
  12. Not generally in favour of loans as a strategy. Great for long term injury replacement but what is the impact overall if your team mates (proper mates too in a good club culture) are out of the squad and grumpy? Loans have their uses but have a down side too.
  13. Tough job that. (Stopping the fans from escaping the Mem).
  14. There must be a certain fascination for them that the toilet roll doesn't need a twig to hold it onto the wall.
  15. Watching at the time, I was so shocked he didn't score it took me several seconds to appreciate the quality of the save. I know Max isn't perfect but some of his shot stops this season have been world class. If that save was made by a top PL keeper it would have been talked about a lot more.
  16. I can imagine a conversation between their defender and manager after the game. Something like:- 'Hey boss, another thing, remember you told us that Mehmetti would always cut onto his right foot before crossing or shooting.....?!'
  17. I look back at yesterday, had to do some difficult DIY at home, a bit out of my comfort zone TBH. Watched the City win and afterwards the feel good factor carried over into my DIY, holes were patiently drilled and levels carefully checked. Thanks City, your win and general performance lifted my spirits and contributed to a decent job.
  18. To Port Vale and back on your day off to see 2 shots, neither on target.... Can't see their away support improving after that.
  19. Breaking news.....they have had a shot. It didn't go in. More of a promotion pull than push.
  20. 62 mins, no shots yet. The Vale keeper might as well nip down the pub for a bank holiday pint.
  21. That was the sort of foul the refs were supposed to be clamping down on. The defender never looked at the ball, sign him for The Bears.
  22. I am generally in favour of refs letting the game flow but he didn't want to make the big calls in the box, particularly for us. Not biased, just too passive. As said, would do well with VAR to make those calls for him. Think he will be a bit embarrassed when he sees the coverage, of course, a ref is only as good as their assistants, if they don't step up.....
  23. My West Ham supporting mate (not local) said he enjoyed the match and we deserved it. He does call us 'Bristol City 0' though. Not sure that joke works well now as a WHUFC fan but he is a good mate and watches a lot of football. If he thought we were rubbish he would say so.
