I’ve got to say if I was his age and with a very healthy bank balance, I don’t think I’d want the hassle of managing a premier league football team.

My thoughts exactly. He obviously loves the challenge but I feel for his family too who must worry about him. More and more it feels like a young mans game (managing).

There is a football connection, it’s Hannah Waddingham who was in Ted Lasso!

Ha! Thanks. We haven't got Apple TV so haven't watched that series but looked it up to understand what you mean. If she was ringing a bell at corner kicks that would be perfect.

The shirts nice, don’t get me wrong.

But it’s another move making us look tinpot and embarrassing yet again.

I just think it is an age thing. The photo of my boyhood heroes in the old kit and more importantly, invited back into the club, is what matters here, to me anyway.

I totally get that a younger person would not understand the Leeds game even though the history books show that Revie side as one of the best club teams that ever played.

  4. So, the big question is, with these shirts selling so fast, will they do another production run?

Once produced, it must be easier to make more?

One of my favourite shirts was a red polo shirt with the old club badge on. As it was low key, smart casual, you could wear it at times when a match shirt was not appropriate and only those stood close to you could pick up the name on the crest.

  5. Photos from their matches suggest a lack of youth attending already.

I guess many will give up the ST and buy occasional match tickets instead.

I am not a commercial person but surely they need a 'loss leader' to hook people in, then they become ST holders in later life?

Good news for City I would think.

Remember that day like yesterday. i was on my way home from Torquay Tech  at the bus station in Newton Abbot, bought the Herald Express and their it was in the Stop Press (ask your grandad)

Result. Leeds 0-1 Bristol City. Went mental, most there must have thought i needed an Ambulance.

I found out when I got home from school. The match was played in afternoon daylight mid week which seems really weird but someone else on here recently said it was because of power shortages.

You should focus on the club getting some of our heroes from the past back into the club and into a retake of their old kit rather than the anniversary.

As good as they were during their day, I hope we don't use retro players for the game too.

Reckon Trevor could still run the midfield and pick out Conway with a through ball.

  9. If I was to guess it might have been over watered but it looked fine to me.

Here are a couple of images courtesy of the City official site, hopefully ok to post on here?

No sign of any cabbages to me. Are the Saints players sat down looking for them or planting them? A bit early, still a chance of frost?

    They liked it too:

"Still not a fan of this possession football. City were so much more energetic and completely nullified our stilted efforts.

Have to say, really liked Ashton Gate stadium, and the locals made me smile with their rendering of WTS go 3 nil down."

More moans on there about the crap pitch? Geez, if you can't play football on that.....

Apparently they passed it but we played on the break, but 2 of the goals were not on the break.

It reads as though some never actually saw the game and picked their comments from the Losing Team Excuses Handbook.

Vibration and resonance are not something you want in a structure. It may start to sway like bridges sometimes do.
