Yes all part of moving the whole club in the right direction

New junior Reds, new kits, new players, new coaching staff.... lovely to see such a positive vibe about the club and on this forum.

Just a shame the season has to start soon and ruin it all.

  2. The most creative sport-related bullying invented at our school was "Davros-ing".

Involved securing the victim into the teachers chair using a combination of hockey sticks and school scarves, placing an upturned bin over the head  to render said victim blind, then commencing a game of human shuffleboard, taking turns to slide the half-man / half-dalek along the polished top corridor to see who could fire the victim the closest to the open precipice at the top of the stone stairs.

The disappointment was palpable when you over shot your go, and were disqualified (as a screaming Davros plunged down the staircase....)

  3. What is it with football where someone's personal life has to be published by the employee or the employer.

I don't need to know what someone in my office is off sick with. Nor do I need them to apologise for looking drunk on holiday in Vegas. Nor do I need them to come out.

    It's only bloody sport.

Sorry hadn't seen the original reply, what I meant by 'messing with tradition' is to my mind at least, a West Ham shirt should be claret body with blue sleeves (a claret and blue version of an Arsenal shirt if you like), anything else isn't their traditional style (the actual colours of their new shirt are traditional of course, but the design isn't, which is what I meant!  Just my own opinion of course :)

In other news, I saw this new one earlier, thought it was Coventry at first glance but its Cambridge away, wouldn't be adverse to a similar design for our away kit

Is the dodgy SS imagery entirely appropriate Cambridge?

Can anyone tell me, have the club stopped allowing the purchase of Season Cards by instalments ?

Was Instalments that lad who ran on the pitch and yacked up?

If so, I very much hope Instalments won't be able to purchase a season ticket. Should be banned for life.

  6. Oh goodie. "Impact players", "specialist kickers and retrievers", "offensive team/defensive team".... all giving me more time to buy more hotdogs and popcorn while the KissCam focuses in on a couple of belltards in the Dolman willing to have a snog and fiddle to get on the big screen.

Put repeat performers in goal mouth before start of each match as City forwards line up for shooting practice.  They may not get hit but it will be a humbling experience in front of  the crowd nevertheless

Put them in row z... more likely to get hit

  8. Do you really believe any footballer is happy wasting a chunk of their short career not playing the game?

Even Bale would rather be playing, albeit at a team where he is appreciated.

Sometimes a big fat contract can actually be a curse not a gift.

The best outcome in any such situation for every party is to find a way the player can get back in the team and have an impact.

Wales were trialing no alcohol to be served after half time during the six nations due to loads of complaints of drunken incidents, they also have no alcohol areas in the ground. Seems a pretty good compromise to me

That is long overdue. After that result against the Italians, there is no way the Welsh squad should still be able to drink beers on the pitch in the second half.

I’m sticking £500 for us to go down , easy money, there is no way we are staying up without investment in the squad.

I stuck £500 into supporting the team whatever. And best bit, that £500 goes to the club for my season ticket next season, not to a corporate bookie for a silly bet.
