Sod the ref. Sod the result. That was the most enthusiastic and thoroughly deserved post match applause for the team I can remember in 3 years. And fully deserved. Every single one of them.
This was our Waterloo, our Rorke's Drift. Finally. Ok, with a different outcome, but plenty of VC's issued.
Proud to stick with this team afterall.
Might wear my City PJ'S to bed tonight.

This crap boils my p###.
A load of people bemoaning us selling rank average players for actual money.
Meanwhile we lose shed loads of cash week after week and so called fans post drivel about boycotting the ground and supporting the club through dodgy firesticks and questionable IP addresses. Then say why haven't we bought a new striker.
Ffs.

Leeds and Newcastle... both one club large cities. Kind of makes a big following easier....
Not sure why this logic doesn't work in Bristol mind.

Does anyone sympathise with the players on the pitch though? They aren't even allowed to give a slap to a coked up pitch invader without getting a red these days. How is that right?

Nope. It was purely that the club has picked up he has been playing well, so want to get him back to coach that out of him.
Needs to reacquaint himself with the BCFC "system".

Let's not knock Zack. You watch the season highlights and 9 times out of 10 he will be our closest defender to the opposition goal scorer.
Get him on the right side of that opposition goal scorer and we will have the makings of a cracking defender.

A big improvement over previous performances as he managed several shots on target. If he can keep it up…….
He is a footballer not a porn star, so that is hardly relevant...

Most of us on this forum can only dream of 14 available footballers.
Most weeks I struggle to spot 1.

Well all the numpties who normally shine their phone torches toward the end of the game didn't make it today.
That's 200 missing for starters.

It may have taken a while, but yep, we have coached all effectiveness and impact out of him. Another player we have conditioned for the scrap heap.

Yeah Trevor Francis was a great player
He can't have been much good if he only cost £1million though.

I have Christmas Dinner to think of, 3 works dos, cinema tickets, panto and a mates party, plus clubbing at New Year.
No way am I going to risk missing those by catching the virus at the football.

Yes. It is football chat.
It’s a decision taken by the government that determines your right to watch Bristol City play football without being subject to authoritarian controlYeah. Referees at the Gate ruin perfectly bad games. Get rid.

So punishing City for something they have no control over?
Same applies with our position in the league table.

To be fair, pretty much every player we have sold since cole left had had a sell on clause
We might have been better off negotiating refund clauses on players we buy, not sell.
"If we turn this promising player to turd within 12 months, we get 20% of the fee back..."
We would be loaded!

Why would we want to constrain an income stream for the club when all the other clubs in our league are cashing in? We have already have enough handicaps to being competitive.

Could be a vintage PL season.
Not sure how anything that only goes back to 1992 can be termed "vintage"....

I was amazed to see the Latvian striker was credited with the most passes completed for her team.
Then I realised it was one kick off and 20 re-starts.

The recruitment is irrelevant. Its this club's ability to coach the talent, skill, confidence and health out of whoever we bring in that is staggering.
Seriously, we could finish Foden if he came here.

I've got a west ham supporting mate and they can get the home/away shirt without the sponsor on the front. I would love that option with city, and would def buy a shirt more often as it looks a lot better
You'll be saying he wears it without shin pads next. Sacrilege.

Then there was the incident last night when Kalas went to the ballboy and had to wait whilst the towel was taken out of the plastic carrier bag!

Master stroke to now be defending the South Stand goal in the second halves.
For years, we were good at home, so used that end to push for a winning goal at the end of a game. Now it is more likely a case of hanging on, so ends reversed... I think it has made the difference

This is where VAR can save the beautiful game. I pay a lot of money to see feet behind the line at throw ins. It's a massive advantage to have a throw with a foot an inch or two over a line and it ruins the game for me when players get away with this.
As for the sleepless nights I get when the ball doesn't bi sect the quarter circle at corners....
Once, there was a kick off with an opposition player in the circle. STOP THE GAME.

We did not play a ‘Striker’ for 90 mins at home

100%. Martin offers nothing and we forget how to pass or run with the ball when he is on the pitch.
It was the same a few years back when Diedhiou came back and we stopped playing football.
Give me pace all day long.
