Seen bootleg Beatles a few times at glasto and they were enjoyable

watched Australian pink Floyd in bath recently and they were brilliant

I don’t really tend to go looking for tribute bands , but did in these cases as not like I am ever gonna see either of these original acts live

Didn’t they used to do a full tribute festival in keynsham each year. Prob a cracking singalong

my sis went to watch an arctic monkeys and foo fighters one at fleece recently. Said both good . I think they have a decent number in the fleece

They have loads in the Fleece and yes Keynsham has a fake festival, hoping to see the Pink Floyd tribute sometime.

  3. Following on from my fav gig thread, what are peoples thoughts on tribute acts ? I've only seen 3, Live Wire...AC/DC, very good, Bootleg Beatles they were also very good and an ABBA tribute( not through choice) and they were very good aswell. A mate of mine is in a Depeche Mode and Human League tribute band and they are incredibly busy.

    Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow...Hammersmith Odeon

    The Verve...Glastonbury

    Faithless...Glastonbury

I was going to ask where people thought around the area

Was thinking of a day out from Weston (by train), was looking at Bath, Cardiff or Exeter

Bath markets are OK but go in the week, weekends are horrendous, bit like a Rovers away game...thousands there.

I have no hatred for rovers personally. I don't even see them as rivals anymore. Cardiff are bigger rivals imo. I would not be disappointed if they appointed Nige. It would be the best thing for them to do. I would also wish him success until the point we are at the same level as them.

I can't stand them and I would be absolutely gutted if NP racked up there not that I think for a minute he would.

  7. To be honest, I don't like like seeing someone new doing the pre and post match interviews, just doesn't feel right to me, nothing against the bloke but I've had the stuffing hit out of me the last couple of weeks re City. Sorry for going over old ground but Pearson should still be here.

Not me personally, but I do know one of the blue few who refuses to get anything red, refuses to shop in Sainsburys (because it was all their fault why they haven't got a new Stadium), and he also refused to go to Ashton Gate for his Covid jab! Nuts

I know one like that, had a right go at another Gashead that had a red van

I think it’s becoming apparent there was no plan, other than they needed an excuse to jettison Nige. Had they lined a manager up, he’d be here by now - Eustace/Lampard if wanted are available and we’ve clearly been sounding people out for weeks.

The mealy mouthed rationale, the not fronting up, the doing it at this juncture and the no movement on replacement suggests that they sacked Nige as they had to go before winnable games and players back from injury. If Lansdowns and Tinnion had one inch of courage, they’d have still sacked him after a win - but that wouldn’t play to their bullshit narrative.

I have no issue in taking time over an appointment to get it right. However, as @Kid in the Riot says, the clock for finding a replacement didn’t start last Sunday - it started some time ago. It’s wholly plausible also we’ve lost some candidates who don’t want to report to an illiterate Geordie and a know nothing Nepo baby, and the interviews/the way they’ve handled things have tipped people over the edge.

No plan. No clue. No credibility.

The 3 clowns must have been praying we didn't beat Cardiff last week.
