  1. Had that been at the other end though, would you have said it was a penalty to West Ham ? Phillips about to shoot, Gordon makes challenge with no contact on the ball and prevents the shot.
  2. I can live with the first one as Coufal was extremely clumsy and as soon as I saw it I thought it was a penalty. But the second one I disagree with and I’ll justify that by saying that if it was at the other end and Phillips was about to shoot and Gordon comes in from behind him making no contact with the ball but resulting in Phillips kicking his leg then I would suggest a penalty would be given against Gordon. So surely that means it’s actually a foul by Gordon on Phillips and it shouldn’t have been a penalty????? I’m not completely unbiased in this as I have family ties to West Ham but I think my assessment of the two penalties is balanced
  3. Well if the current form and PPG attained under LMs reign continues then he will take us from being a mid table championship side to a L1 side.
  4. Must admit my knowledge of the players is lacking and I was listening to a podcast so I haven’t heard commentary. perhaps that’s why I’m enjoying it more
  5. Anyone else watching ? really enjoyable as far as I’m concerned. Both teams looking to get forward quickly but happy to switch it from fast passing to route one. some thundering tackles going in on a wet pitch as it’s tipping it down. its like chalk and cheese to what we get served up week in week out
  6. Surely it’s got to be juicy red cider apples instead of tennis balls
  7. I do wonder if Tinnion would be less inclined to try with King so that’s probably why King wouldn’t get the chance.
  8. Haven’t heard him questioning LM for picking him though, funny that
  9. I bet the spirit would immediately improve. At least King has been there and done it.
  10. And get thrown under the bus by LM in his post match interview if it goes wrong ? LM will say they didn’t follow the plan ! It feels like all instinct and natural flair has been sucked out of the players. Peobably stepping up and doing something different other than the plan would be seen as too emotional
  11. There was a guy actually asleep behind me today ! I think he’d maybe had a drink or two but he wasn’t legless. But a couple of drinks and boring football actually sent him to sleep
  12. I think the idea of supply and demand was lot in his statement
  13. Quite a few first teamers as well, O’Leary, Knight, TC, Mehmeti and Twine plus a few more I think
  14. You really do talk some rubbish but the fact it appears you do it just to wind people up is both sad and concerning
  15. With his contract situation I’m sure we won’t be getting Semenyo or Scott type money and like any of us if somebody offered to quadruple our salary to do the same job I’m sure we’d all be off to a new employer
  16. No I didn’t say that, but I’m sure the players know a lot better than any of us what the politics within the club are like. i made no suggestion that he knew LM would replace NP or how our form would be. i said there are many factors that can influence a players decision to sign a new contract not just who the manager is
  17. For me we’re still playing too many square pegs in round holes and it goes back to something I’ve said many times. If LM wanted to change the style of play then that’s fine, but if the squad he inherited isn’t up to that and can’t perform to the required level then you have to play to the teams strengths whilst trying to implement your new ideas gradually. you then find out who’s up to it and who’s not and you can recruit accordingly. Hopefully that would have meant that we’d have seen a smoother transition in style with better results.
  18. Maybe the deal wasn’t to his liking, doesn’t mean he didn’t sign it because of NP. Maybe he knew what was coming and didn’t want to commit. there’s many reasons why he might or might not sign a contract, manager is just one of the factors
  19. Some would say expected to add more to his game others would say he’s had the stronger points of his game neutralised. opinions eh
  20. I’m not sure Rowett would fancy coming in to be a stop gap
  21. Yes I’d like him to stay, he’s an instinctive goalscorer and I think there’s plenty more goals in him.
  22. Depending on who the manager is he might be okay with that
  23. No that’s fine it’s your opinion, just wanted to balance it out.
  24. With mates like him who needs enemies
