Do people think we don’t look as fit as we used to ? I’m sure the resident statisticians may be able to help answer this but I’ve thought recently we seem to be out on our legs more than we used to

Don’t want turn the Matchday thread into yet another debate about LM and his future but I have seen this point many times about the players not being his and all will be well when he can bring his own players in. Well that may be true but until that time arrives the coach must get the best out of the players he’s got. Poor performances can’t be excused by saying it’s not his players and they can’t play the style he wants. He must play to the style that suits the players he has. The best interests of the club have to take priority over the principles, beliefs or behaviours of the coach. Be flexible, employ styles and tactics that utilise the abilities of the players and put some points on the board which will give you some leeway with the fans.

Maybe we’re old and looking through slightly tinted glasses but before all the money and hype of the premier league it all felt a bit more genuine and the football was less sterile and natural.

And you wouldn’t of bet on Leicester to win the premier league either would you but it happened. I’m glad you are so confident and I agree we should be safe but our form is through the floor as is our confidence. teams below us are going in the right direction picking up points and will have a more positive mindset than our players at the moment.

And what price were Leicester to win the Premier League ? 6 of our remaining games are against teams below us and at the moment our ability to break down these teams is non existent. add to that we don’t look like a squad who have a stomach for this fight and players openly arguing on the pitch which is not a good sign. yes we probably won’t be relegated but I do think people are being overly confident in claiming it won’t happen

I haven’t taken the view that nothing Manning can do is right and I haven’t said that anywhere. I’ve also on more than one occasion on these threads aired the opinion that LM came into a situation through no fault of his own that the fan base were going to judge him more harshly than previous managers have been judged. Not because people have a reason to be any harsher on LM, but because of the board and their handling of the situation. I cannot as yet see progression and in fact I can see regression particular in the body language and behaviour of the players on the pitch. Things aren’t right and I don’t think I’m the only person to feel that way. Do I want LM to fail and be sacked ? No I don’t because that means Bristol City is failing and I have no reason to wish for LM to fail. I completely agree that we should have our own opinions and it is good that we both have the opportunity to voice those opinions.

And probably don’t go into hysteria and panic mode like we do here when we have a bit of snow
