  1. That isn't a normal position of just shrugging someone off. Without a doubt any player would be suspended for an elbow it that position
  2. It's still double standards if a player gets punished for something a ref doesn't. If I walked down the street and elbowed someone because they touched me on the shoulder would that be OK?
  3. And how many times have we seen nothing thing result in bans. Was it weimann a few years back at Fulham? Players get banned all the time for raising there arms. Like I say I agree with it but surely the same should happen for players
  4. As much as I agree with the comments it does seem a bit of double standards. I am pretty sure if Robertson had touched a player and he reacyed like that he would now be serving a ban for it.
  5. I would like to see everton and Westham come down. I think the prem is going to be hard enough next season so see us if having more chance against the likes of Bournemouth. I don't care about league 1 as it won't affect us
  6. Oh OK it's a stupid example as it doesn't fit your argument even though Kompany had never played or managed in the league which was your argument? Or Harris that had managed and played at this level a lot
  7. Yeah much better to go sage with someone like Neil Harris than take a gamble on someone like Kompany with no experience of the league.
  8. I get what you are saying but surely if we are classifying it as a 90 minute game then let's make it be that.
  9. Why 60 minutes? Surely if the game is meant to be 90 minutes do what you have suggested but with 90 minutes instead of 60?
  10. As Selred has said at least they go. I have no issue with fans like this it's more the ones that claim to be massive fans but have never been in there lives . Also if it shows that the majority of fans aren't from Manchester it must be a bloody huge hotel at old Trafford is 80k plus, so guessing there must be a good 60k with you to prove your point?
  11. Sorry when I say never a foul I mean in my opinion and within the context of how the rest of the game was reffed. If you have a picky ref all game then probably yes but with what he was letting go it should have been a goal
  12. This has always been one of my biggest gripes with VAR. To me either everything should be done by VAR (instantly with better tech) or nothing and just leave it all to the refs. There was the incident you mentioned. There was also a time when miller kicked the ball out for a throw but they said the ref or linesman wouldn't be able to tell if it had already gone for a corner, but if that were in the goal they use goal line technology. My personal view is go back to old school and just leave it to all to the officials
  13. The challenge on Alisson was never a foul. The keeper didn't have full control
  14. It was a great game and great to see the ref allowing loads go. What pissed me off about the disallowed goal though was that those "fouls" were being let go all game but just because this one lead to a goal they call it back and give it. It is either a foul everytime or let it go everytime
  15. As much as I think he is a bit of an idiot it sounds from reading the article that he has potentially just defended himself and I don't see an issue with that. It could well be that someone has seen an ex pro/ celebrity and thought they would make a name for themselves
  16. No difference to someone saying to their mate as you're not going can you use your season ticket to buy a ticket for my mate. The system may not be 100% fair but its as close as it could be.
  17. I could be wrong here as I don't go to away games half as much as I used to but isn't it also quite rare for us to sell out an away end? Especially before general sale? I know there are exceptions like FGR in the cup etc with smaller allocations but most of the time they certainly don't sell out within the hour. I went to Burnley Saturday and I got a ticket fine and I haven't even got a membership this season yet. Really think your argument is flawed and I believe those that travel the most/ST holders should get 1st dibs
  18. You are making out like city tickets snapped up by touts in seconds. As others have said giving loyalty to those that travel more often is the fairest way.
  19. Surely the massive hit on gates would more than counter the electricity spent
  20. Was it the Cardiff game? One game recently everything he tried 1st half was off
  21. I think people (me included) get excited because when he is on song he is normally one of the best players on the pitch. Consistency will hopefully come with age where as his natural ability is a lot harder to teach a player. I didn't see the blackpool game but what annoys me is when he has an off game he gets hooked straight away but when William's was having a bit of a mare 1st half against Luton he was given the opportunity to make up for it 2nd half (which he did)
  22. I don't see why they can't both fit in. I see Scott in more of an Alonso position dictating the pace of the game where as Benarous is more attacking and I see him in a front 3 or behind the strikers.
  23. That was my thinking to be honest and I didn't trust it hence the question if anyone was aware of the situation. Looking forward to seeing him back and can see him fitting in well with a more footballing side if we keep it up.
  24. Has anyone got an update on Benarous? I thought he was meant to be out until Christmas time but an App I use for scores seems to think he is nearly back and just needs to build fitness. That being said this app isn't the most reliable for injuries outside of the prem.
  25. So basically the manager has said he is more interested in his side winning than concentrating on an ex player. Has said he is a good lad. Said even if it was his own dad playing he just wants to concentrate on his team. Where is the bad point in this?
