Think he'll be a great addition personally. Intelligent with creating space and linking midfield to attack.

Just the type of player Alex Scott could do with infront of him to help link up play.

    Hope this comes off.

I agree, the times I've seen him he seems to be very cute on the ball and will link up with other players better than say Weimann.

He's the sort of ball player who will be more on the same page as Scott and Naismith and I think we might see some very nice pass and move triangles.

There is a bit of panic in the hierarchy after Tins set up an exciting day on twitter earlier. It looks like Cornick won’t be done due to Luton wanting a replacement which they don’t have lined up. Jake O’brien is tough because they are negotiating with both Palace and his current loan club. Currie is being held by AFCW although he really wants to move. City want all 4 but could end up with just 1 today.

Arnt Luton getting Nakambe from Villa on loan? That would be the ‘replacement’ for Cornick.

I have a soft spot for the Manchester City.

Studying up in Manchester and living in and around Maine Road you couldn't help but feel some sort of alliance with them. In general a great bunch of lads the Mancunians.

Unlike the other Manchester club. ?. London arse wipes.

I also studied in Manchester and always found it the other way round!

Absolutely.  Would be a great signing for Liverpool with their aging midfield.  Cue the confused emojis!  I remember saying why on earth aren’t Man United making sure they get Bellingham and ensuring he knows he would be in their squad. He was good enough. These top teams could save themselves a lot of money by buying players one move earlier.

I see quite few similarities between Thiago and Scott, the way they glide across the pitch and direct their passes directly into team mates path.

Taking about a one off win as if it was a pinnacle of our clubs history is why we will never progress.  Yes, it was a fantastic night no doubting it, but to still be celebrating it 5 years later…..well.
So many equivalent teams have done so much better than us over the last twenty years - Cardiff - League Cup final, Championship title, 2 seasons in the Premier League.  Wigan - 8 seasons in the Prem, won the FA Cup as well as reaching another semi losing on pens, European football. Swansea - 8 years in the Prem and won the League Cup. Pompey in the Prem and Europe.  Brentford ripping up the Prem at the moment.   The list goes on and on.  We need to up our expectations.

Can you give us a list of things we are allowed to celebrate please?

  6. I don't think he's quite taken to the Championship as say Conway has, but coming on as a sub for a team who are playing better, retaining the ball and being more of an attacking threat (now are a 4-3-3) will be easier for him to show what he can do and use his attributes better than when we can't string 3 passes together, are defending all the time (when we play 5-3-2).

    Exactly why the goal stood

Even the linesman realised straight away that he flagged in error and spoke to the ref to confirm the goal should be given

Which he should have IMO, Rashford was a good 5-10 yards offside and ran after the ball and it seemed to take an eternity for Fernandes to be the next player to touch it.

Ref realised this and told the ref. Good officiating.

Totally agree. I think he was sub in at least 2 if not 3 Champions League finals. Also was very much a bit part player in the last league title.

You do know he came on as sub in 2 champions league finals and scored right?

It always bewilders me that Nailsmith always takes corners - surety there are other players- Scott being one capable of delivering a decent corner.

Nailsmith as a CB would surely be better utilised in the opposition box?

It's because Naismith has the best delivery of anyone at the club. So he takes the inswinging corners from our right hand side and James takes them from the left.

Apart from Atkinson, we have a team of midgets so unfortunately they are not our most potent attack. Even Atkinson you wouldn't say dominates the air for his height.

Flint would have had about 20 goals every season from Naismith deliveries.

Scott’s delivery in general is attrocious, thats why!

It's not going to get any better if he doesn't keep going. It's not like we're particularly dangerous from James deliveries who hits the front man 3/4 times.
