Social Services is broken.  They do their best but they don't have the resources.  We shouldn't have 8, but there is nowhere else.  But that debate belongs in politics I guess.

I dread to think how bad it has got in the last couple of years. We stopped in mid 2020 (unexpectedly found myself pregnant and no spare bedrooms) and I know from speaking to friends and people I’m still in contact with from my time working with social care that things are desperate and people are on their knees. You’re doing great I’m sure, but don’t be afraid to say it’s too much. They rely on your nature which as you’ve proven by taking 8 when you even say yourself you shouldn’t be caring for that many. Credit to you :)

I would, it's just that I currently have 8 foster children (on emergency) and to leave my wife with them all seems a bit much!!  (And no, they all wouldn't fit in the car).

Having been a foster carer myself, I hope it’s all going ok, and if you have that many in your care currently, that you’re getting enough help and support with all their various needs :)

  3. Whenever I’ve taken kids to football, I’ve told them they are likely to hear swearing, and they can use those words at football, but use them elsewhere and then they can’t come to football again.

I managed to convince my nephew when I took him, that they were singing “Joey Barton’s mother is a horse” :D

However, I am always conscious when there are kids around me, and try not to swear too much/often. I think if you’ve been politely asked to tone it down then you should respect that.

Thanks Dolls, have ofter wondered how he was getting on. Is there a fund raising site for donations to help out ? And my God he has grown!!

Life in your wardrobe certainly helped a good few of us !!

Thankfully this operation is covered on our fabulous NHS.

Never met him but always enjoyed his posts. Was very vocal of the Ashton Vale planning.. sad that he’s passed before the sporting quarter one this week.

Was just about to say, he helped out loads when we were trying to get Ashton Vale done :( really sad news. Always had time for a chat.

I believe @Dollymarie tried hospitality at a women's game last year & said she enjoyed it. Hospitality at a women's game is also cheaper than that for a men's game, but I understand both types of hospitality are similar

I'd probably try it myself once if I weren't a City Women season ticket already! ?

Yep was lovely, food was fab and me and my sister in law had a great time :)
