  1. No this isn’t one of those random NTTDS thread titles. . .

Myself and ‘im indoors are sadly having to miss the Cardiff home game in a few weeks because we’re going to a twice rearranged due to covid show in Bournemouth on the Saturday.

My question is, does anyone know of anywhere nice (and by that I mean we’ll have my mum and our toddler in tow) that will show our game (cos it’s on the telly)  in Bournemouth, so we can watch it before we head home.

    I have ?

The Fiancée previous to Pack’s sister in law also was scorned though to spray cheat all over his car and tell everyone what a scumbag he was all over social media.

    Ha! I’d forgotten about that!

You have told us more here about football and football management (and possibly Bristol City) with these two lines than 5 years of hundreds of us blokes droning on about recruitment, how "he set the team up," ffbloodyp, substitutions, whether the manager is shouting enough from the technical area during games, tactics, Parsons Street, expected blinkin goals, "assists" etc blah etc.

    Got anymore of this stuff?

Glad to be of service :D

There's a whole thread on their bust up somewhere, from last year. Something to do with Flint's break up with Packs Sister in Law?

Heard similar gossip around here in Portishead too.

Flint was engaged to Marlon Packs wife’s sister, they’d been together a while and he’d taken on her two children. He cheated on her with the actress Chanel Cresswell and they broke up.

Which is a shame. I understand why it cannot be on a matchday before a match, I don’t think that is a good time either as it would be a rushed distraction.

But how many fans attended, was it open to all? Did people know it was happening and could ask to attend? And if so most people generally work during the day so not a good time unless you are retired etc.

In the past wasn’t it an evening event? I understand due to Covid it naturally had to be scaled down but it would have been nice for more fans to have the option to attend to celebrate the return to normal. I don’t buy the argument that players aren’t available in the evening as I’m sure if there was a posh restaurant opening for example they would be all over it.

Again, it’s the club who tell us where to be if we want to hand over the awards. Their argument is they need to focus on the games left, and we can’t do it post season as they all bugger off on holiday.

For what it’s worth I agree with you, but given the last few seasons there’s been a combination of covid/not much to celebrate, there hasn’t really been much of an argument to push for a bigger “event” as such. The last time that happened was pre covid and in 2017 when Tammy won everything, that happened out on the stage in the Winterstoke car park.

I guess that’s why the players do the lap at the end of the last home game, so fans can show their appreciation then.

I also think the awards ceremony was a bit of a closed shop which is a shame.

It’s the club who want it at the training ground on a non match day, we just have had to fit in with that. We’d love it on the pitch just before kick off, but have been told we’re not allowed to do that

Why arent Diedhiou and Bentley on the POTY trophy from the past two years?

Because the engraver who does all our work wasn’t taking orders during covid, and is now stupidly busy so we couldn’t get it sorted in time for yesterday. Rest assured we’re on his waiting list. :)

I doubt it - on the Supporters Club & Trust website, in all four areas of what they purport to do, all four pages say ‘last updated 22nd July 2019’ - so no updates on anything to do with ‘Representation’, ‘Community’, ‘Heritage’ or ‘Fundraising’ for nearly three years ... it’s disappointing I guess ... so I wouldn’t hold your breath on any ‘updates’ regarding representations on fans’ behalf about season ticket prices for next season ...

Are you looking at the right website? :)

In answer to the question, no we haven’t had anything shown to us about pricing etc.

? Foul mouthed reprobates as well!

To be fair, I was over in the posh seats yesterday, cos of the AG8 stuff, but I had to remind myself several times to stay sat down and keep any choice words to a minimum. I did let myself have one round of “aaaaaagggghhhhs!” when the Boro keeper was kicking the ball though, much to @TomF’s amusement :D
