Well if that's the case some difficult questions are going to have to be asked because there is no way normal life can be put on hold that long, what the solution is I have no idea but one will have to be found that may include some kind of compromise such as once you have had it you get an exemption certificate from a doctor from all the restrictions currently in place or something like that.
I think there needs to be definite science supporting immunity before thousands of people are allowed to run wild.
I get the "we can't go on like this forever" argument, I really do. But weigh that against the alternative of trying to get on with normal life whilst a lethal virus is being passed around unchecked.
There is no perfect answer, but given the choice, and assuming support for ALL people, I'd vote for remaining in the bunker for as long as we can.

Who would have thought Wetherspoon would take this sort of action? Were there any signs?
That said, in the interests of balance, if someone finds it to be a hoax, please put up a link.

For all the times I read the news and chalk up another reason why I have given up on people, I then read stories like this and see that maybe I shouldn't be so cynical all the time. There are many, many good people out there, and if you're doing some volunteering through the mainstream NHS app, or with another organisation, or something off your own back like @And Its Smith, then fair play to you. And, for what's it's worth, you have my thanks.

More importantly, how's Linda Lusardi?
More a Maria Whittaker fan (saw her once at Alton Towers, tiny thing, well, not all over)

I see these tweets and continue to hope they are fake, and then consider the number of c>nts out there.

How long have you got?
Actually, that's a stupid question.....
As I told a client once, after dealing with a support case, "there's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask them."

Maybe this situation is the purge society needs. We all stay in, let the likes of Chris go walkabout, we can clean up the mess in a month or so.

Typical Britain: we can't even do a lockdown properly.

My level of hate of, and despair for, large swathes of humanity continues to be reinforced when I read stuff like this:

Starting to think that humanity may never fully recover from this situation. There's too much damage being caused to the world's infrastructure that will only worsen with time and may never be restored.
Remember the days when football seemed important?
Sorry to sound overly bleak.
I stopped giving a F about football some time back. I was chatting to a friend of mine over the weekend (oft-mentioned on here, PNE st holder), he similarly is glad of the break from having to watch shite upon shite week upon week.
In all seriousness, I agree, who gives a stuff about anything but the real priorities of health and safety right now?- 4

Don't say I don't have good taste.
Not having met your Mrs, I couldn't possibly comment.

Can we just cancel 2020 now. I’ve had enough.
Here is mine so far...
January 3rd - brother diagnosed out of blue of having 3 aggressive brain cancers and has ‘short months’ to live
January 10th - paralysed down his right side he is discharged from hospital to die, where he lives with his girlfriend and our 90 year old mother
January 20th - take over my mothers pension and bank account as brother is paralysed to find out they have extracted and spent over £50000 of her savings. I have no idea what is was spent on and they are not saying
January 22nd - I predict to my partner that now the raping of my mothers finance has stopped, so will her care so and mother will be dead in 6 months. Try to get her extra care, social services not interested
Feb 25th Get a call from brothers sister that mother had taken a fall and had been rushed into hospital
Feb 27th mother dies with fractured skull from the fall. Coroner refuses to release body for funeral as the body needs to go to autopsy due to ‘unusual injuries’
March 9th autopsy completed, cause of death obvious, how it happened open to interpretation. No further action taken
March 13th. Finally received death certificate and funeral booked for March 24th
March 19th funeral postponed due to corona virus
anyone able to ‘beat this’?
My own lot is pretty shite, but this tops anything I have encountered to date. Best of luck that something, anything, takes a turn for the better.

To be fair, it was an eventuality that no scientist or doctor could have reasonably foreseen.

I work for a large American company that makes electronics for the motor industry which is non essential but still the corporate bosses won't send us home when there's money to be made when all around us BMW & Honda have been shut down. But it's all ok they've taken chairs out the canteen so only six at a time can go in and put signs up everywhere telling us how to wash our hands!
Small consolation I know, but there are worse American companies you could be working for. Take Hobby Lobby for instance:

Maybe those who come through this, having witnessed mass burials or cremations, empty houses, thousands of businesses gone and a very different world, will take a different and more caring view on their fellow survivors.
I have no faith in humanity doing the right thing. There are sufficient selfish w@nkers and ***ts in the world that it will eventually turn to shite again.
