That is tragic in every sense
Also wrong. Lack class off the pitch?
Bristolian owner who improves the stadium and employs god knows how many Bristolians (and pays them at/above minimum wage)
Manager obsessed with getting better and better. (Measures the length of the grass FFS)
Players who are keen to learn and to improve, who work their socks off at becoming better and better.
Sign “nobodies” for buttons from tiny teams and turn them into classy footballers
No Boob cricket, Horse Punching, racist abusiing if our OWN players (never mind the opposition)
Yeah, right gashead. No class at all at City.

The six big questions facing Bristol Rovers in 2018
When will work begin on the training ground?
What will a redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium look like?
Can the club keep hold of its best players?
Do Rovers have realistic Championship ambitions?
Will Clarke be given money to spend?
How do Rovers replace Bodin?http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/six-big-questions-facing-bristol-1026311
Answers on a postcard and you could win a free ticket to watch them play ... second prize, two free tickets ... boom boom!
I think question 3 was resoundingly answered in the negative last week when PNE waved their chequebook.

I think the finacial rules in the championship relate to the clubs loss on its P&L account, but this taken over a 3 year period.
Theres a bit of jiggery pokery about transfer fees being spread over the length of the players contract, but essentially I suspect they re banking on promotion ( almost certainly this season now) in which case championship rules don't apply to a premier league club ( as demonstrated by QPR)
Given SL's background in a regulated financial services sector, I cannot believe that he would risk the club breaching the financial rules, whereas I get the impression that many foreign owners worry about that when it becomes a problem.
Interesting. Thank you @Downend City

Serious question ( as I don’t understand the rules). People on here have been saying that SL can’t just spend and really go for it because of FFP.
In which case, how come Wolves can spend £50M?
Genuine question, there is obviously a reason why,
I just don’t know it.

SCAM WARNNG!
Do not, under any circumstances, open an email saying 'two free tickets to see Bristol Rovers FC'
It contains two free tickets to see Bristol Rovers FC...- 3

They've obviously got United on their minds this week as well then!
What league do Doncaster United play in? Have they been relegated again!?

That's an excellent point. That'll help massively with confidence.
Sounds like FF had a really solid match from BBC review. Also said Derby time wasting in second half, hence 5 mins of ET
Derby started wasting time from the second half kick off

Total lack of respect for opponents from Villa fans. Many on their forum saying we are a **** team. I think they all need to learn a little humility, maybe then, their fortunes will improve.

Hate losing any match, but not a stuffing, which is a bonus, but just two shots on is pretty clear we need to create more chances in front of goal.
Agreed. However, TBF, one of the shots "off target", hit the post and another hit the bar so we are close.

I think the "Mar" in Marmite comes from the fact that the yeast is from MARston's brewery (in Burton, of course).

Ex-colleague of mine is a Wycombe fan and said they were all singing "One team in Bristol...City" at the Rovers contingent yesterday

I suspect those saying it hadn't actually seen it and were relying on radio or internet text commentary.
Yes, the radio commentary laid the blame squarely on Ayling, that's why

Thing that gets me down is we contrive to beat ourselves. Today was typical, Ayling could easily have cleared it, he made a poor decision and Leeds' only shot on target all game goes in. Players are too thick to make good decisions.

A few months ago the "kid in the riot" suggested that land at The Memorial Stadium was to be sold for building and that this would effectively "save the Rovers". Many of us wondered how such a plan could possibly work because any profit from the sale of a segment of land would only be sufficient to pay off MSP Capital and so the other debt and dereliction would remain.
But now new theories are surfacing which could explain what is to happen. It appears that the whole of the site may be sold thus allowing MSP Capital and Nicholas and his cohorts all to have their money repaid leaving a few millions (single figures) for Rovers to contribute a small share towards the cost of building a scaled down and "economy" version of a UWE Stadium which would effectively be owned by third parties.
To many Rovers supporters this is a nightmare scenario because their dream of a showpiece stadium, owned by the club, would be shattered and the landlord tenant situation would once again return. Even worse, in their eyes, Nicholas & Co would continue running the football club in their own inimitable style.
However, there is always a silver lining and so as promised the revised scheme would bring a significant boost to the economy of North Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Led by the increased prosperity of garden shed manufacturers and purveyors of rosettes and rattles,
A friend of mine is the chairman of FC United of Manchester. They have just moved into a brand new stadium that they built, own and paid for. It is astonishing that a club can appear literally as a result of a chat in the pub and do this whilst the heroes of Horfield are doing the reverse (i.e. frittering away a stadium they (stole) owned. If I was a gashead (Thank you Lord!), I would be ashamed when I contrasted my team with FCUM

Did you know that Sags ran out to the theme tune from a Happy Days yesterday?
I believe the popular response to this would start with the words "the gift that keeps on..."
