  1. Good City following here, poor turnout from Bolton esp given its their first home game.

City done a lot of passing, mostly side to side. Tactic seems to be the ball over the top but all have been iverhit so far.

    Stand outs so far

    Kelly (Joe who?)

Webster appears to be a footballer

Brownhill ( although often he us the deepest lying player collecting the ball from the goalie)

Pato one ling range shot otgerwise nothing

Eliasson not in the game at all

O’Dowda has had to contest 5 headers, havent seen the ball played to his feet yet.

Wiemann a lot of good rubs which noone is spotting.

    Pack not in the game

    Baker solid.

All Bolton have done is foul, how did they ever beat West Brom?  Hoping I don’t find out second half.

Spot on, I’ve been working on a project for a large Bank for GDPR , I only hope this law firm are taking our old friend Henbury Gas towards a large invoice !

They will be, there’s a 40% surcharge if you want the extra ‘media-savvy’ add-on ?

The gormless bloke who fecked off with Tony Blackburn’s wife (Tessa Wyatt)was in Robins Nest, remember listening to Blackburn on his Radio 1 breakfast show and going into a serious meltdown over the issue

I remember that. IIRC (doubtful, usually don’t) there was an on air “Tessa come back” at one stage. The Robin’s Nest geezer was Richard O’ Sullivan.

Seems really chuffed with himself. How incredibly sad.

I wonder if Henbury Gas finds it "hilarious" that his mate has dragged all this back up?

What a ridiculous, hate-filled post. For God’s sake, we are all just football fans, we just prefer different teams, that’s all. I find all this “ the other lot are interbred knuckle draggers” quite pathetic really. We are the same in every way except we like Red they like Blue. With regards to our “tame copper getting herself involved” Julie read HG’s insistence that an assault had taken place and tried to investigate. If hearing about a crime and then trying to solve it is wrong, what precisely IS the job of a Police Officer. I applaud Julie, all I have seen from her is “ as a private individual I support City but as a Police Officer I am totally neutral and if this crime did take place I will do my best to find the perp”. WTF is wrong with that?

  5. I was in Hawkshead today making deliveries. Stopped in the car park to eat a sandwich and then realised I was in exactly the same space I was in when 5 Live told me Bristol Rovers had just been relegated out of the football League.

Where were you at that same moment?

    ******* idiots .

I have always railed against the idea of hoping that ANY club goes out of business. However, based on that post, I am about to break that habit.

I hope they disappear, never to return. That nonsensical distorting of the truth (we used to call them lies in the old days), coupled with the shocking “South Bristol is full of rapists and thieves” nonsense earlier in the thread has changed me. I hope they disappear, never to return. Their decent fans will be upset and that is a shame, but the club and some of their followers really are a blight on Bristol.

More than happy for Walsh and Kent to come into the squad, as they'll both prove valuable acquisitions over the coming months. My one gripe is that they both probably need a month or so to get up to speed, and being thrown into a team competing for promotion in one of the most physically draining leagues in Europe is not really ideal. Both need easing into the side gently.

You are right, trouble is, the squad is so thin and knackered that LJ probably thought he was getting fresh legs when what he got was rustiness. As we have seen, mini runs change things, Jan fixtures always looked tough. Despite this run, we are still in the playoff spots, I still believe we can get back to second before May (which is the only time it matters-look at Rovers, they were only in the relegation spots for about 20 mjns that season, just the WRONG 20 mins) :D
