  1. They have to be, it’s part of the job description as per Tins’ interview today. I can’t bring myself to watch it again to transcribe so I’ll paraphrase, “We will have one way of playing throughout the club and when the first team need a player we’ll have one who’s been playing that way for 3 years in the Academy”. Also worth noting that the RHPC is “second to none”, take that Man City! What’s the point in getting a capable tactician in as HC? He has to play the Bristol City tactics (and team selections must be approved at board level). Effectively Tinnion is our new manager and we are just interviewing for someone to do the boring drills on the training field. Conway will be sold this Summer when he has 12 months remaining on his deal. Having seen his best mate leave and start to excel in the PL and the manager he loved treated how he was treated he’ll be off as soon as he can. And his replacement will be Yeboah.
  2. @BS_Bots assemble!!! No-one has yet voted for promotion!
  3. To be fair, a vocal minority can often give the wrong impression. On the Poll of whether Pearson should get a new contract less than 4% have voted no but posts arguing that he shouldn't were in the range 15-20%.
  4. Sounds like Tinnion fancies himself as a Backseat Manager.
  5. Any prospective new coach with his own ideas about footballing philosophy needs to leave them parked at the door and dance to the Lansdowns' tune, because if anyone knows how to get to the PL it's them right? Also, prior to announcing your team to the players, please submit it to Brian for approval. On recruitment, when we sell your star player, you need not worry about signing a replacement, we'll have one ready for you from the Academy cos they'll have been "playing this way for 3 years". I feel excited, PL here we come!
  6. Well those two interviews went down like a sack of shit. Who else wants a try?
  7. If you go to the offices at AG, OTIB is open on a tab on all the computers. We even did some market research for them and showed them that 98% of respondents wanted Nige to have a contract extension. They simply did not like Nige speaking truth to power and got rid.
  8. You know when your mate is going through some tough times and you affect your voice to show compassion? That was the interviewer.
  9. He’d be no good here, we don’t have the resources to Tinker.
  10. SOTC was hardly gonna be the most daunting of interrogations with Ed "we can't criticise the Lansdowns" Hadwin at the helm. And yet they still bottled it. Get out of our club ffs.
  11. Man City fans are gonna be furious when they find out the replacement is gonna be Sean Dyche.
  12. We don't have any strategic advantages over other clubs at this level (eg larger budgets or exceptional recruitment strategy) to allow a run-of-the-mill Championship manager to succeed here so all the managers linked with us so far fill me with apathy. The appointment of Pearson's replacement needs to bring that X-Factor if we are going to stand a chance of achieving the Lansdowns' stated goal of promotion, so that means scouring the globe for a manager with as yet un-heralded tactics or coaching methods and backing ourselves to make that call. Someone like a Will Still before he took Reims to 5th in Ligue 1 or a DeZerbi clone. Without that (or increased budget or overhauled recruitment department), we have a ceiling of mediocrity.
  13. The only way Roy Keane gets appointed by SL is if he thinks Jon needs toughening up. Roy would chin Jon on day 1!

    The Return

Maybe also change the statements to: * Tinnion DOESN'T want an opinionated manager with his own views on how the football operations moves forward. But * Tinnion DOES want a puppet head coach who will implement Tinnion's own ideas You know, the kind of ideas that worked so well in Tinnion's own managerial career.
  15. Loan signings aren't free. If there's no budget for free transfers, there's no budget for loans right?
  16. No chance of relegation with this squad. Even with just 11 fit first team players we should have been thrashing the likes of Cardiff and Ipswich, that's what Jon reckons. At least if we're in L1 Steve may reduce the ridiculous £200m asking price.
  17. I heard the other day that the combined wage of the playing squad is the lowest since we were last in League 1. To avoid the squad being relegated automatically we had to go with a smaller squad and of course that coincides with the largest injury crisis we’ve known in the last decade. To be fair, that isn’t really a surprise as we cannot manage the workload of the players on a matchday. Would not be surprised to see the injuries get worse before they get better.
  18. Won't happen. By the time we get 3 or 4 back, another 1 or 2 will get injured due to us not being able to manage their workload during games.

    Roberts

He didn't look that pissed off so I presume he picked up a knock of some sort.
  20. Or a returning banned user
  21. I just went to check, I voted “yes” so am elevating myself to the title Superfan. First move, new contract for Nige please Edit: on further inspection, I surreptitiously voted yes during the double winning campaign, shame on me, I should go to the Mem! Edit2: Fair play to all those who voted “no” when promotion was secured
  22. He didn't score on Saturday but his one-man pressing cameo was very important for us in not allowing Coventry to build back some momentum.
  23. Saves going back and editing the article when they sack him
