  1. I made that association too. Not sure if coincidence or not. I’ll just enjoy it for what it was
  2. Nige has accumulated a squad of “outstanding human beings”, another thing SL likes ?
  3. Given Nige seems to respect James Piercy (the author of the article) from his interactions with him during press calls, it’s not a huge stretch to believe Piercy’s source is Pearson himself.
  4. Piercy reported recently that Nigel does want an extension iirc.
  5. From the fact we can now hear the media's questions I think we mic them all up with out clip-ons.
  6. The biggest indicator that Nigel is contented with his work here so far is how relaxed he now looks in the company of the media. In all his interviews you get the sense that he’s proud of many of the players he works with now in almost a fatherly way.
  7. It’s really annoying when your children scribble all over the walls! SL must be going nuts!
  8. Remember back through the Summer, when Tins and Nige seemed to genuinely think they were recruiting in addition to Scott? Remember when SL said he had to jump in and take over negotiations with Bournemouth? I pointed out earlier this Summer the mixed messages regarding our finances. Maybe, PA has taken the bullet for this seeming miscommunication between football operations and ownership?
  9. This is all great, but we’ve decided to go without a CEO so all of the above can just continue to go unanswered ?
  10. Is it this guy jogging back on the far side after we had already been in possession on the near side? incidentally, the deepest Plymouth defender you see in the above picture, almost walks back and we end up 4 vs 1 at the point Sykes scores. look at the space just 1 second after the above screenshot ? Reckon their LB had popped for a comfort break or summat ? Only 1 Plymouth player bothered to gamble on their keeper making a save!
  11. Honestly don’t understand where their left back was on Tuesday ?
  12. Looking back at Sykes’ goals this season, there’s more than a touch of the Tinnion to Murray about them. I wonder if this is something they are specifically looking out for during games?
  13. The one thing I'll say is that Nige is still keeping him in the squad so he isn't thought to be a lost cause. I presume that means his attitude is still good and if he has the right mindset, he will hopefully be learning a lot whilst watching the players ahead of him from that bench spot.
  14. That signing is absolutely nuts mind. He delivered more than I expected last season and this term he seems to have upped his game another level.
  15. Yep, I went over to read about how we are a terrible footballing side on Pasoti ?
  16. In this analogy wouldn't having a COO be akin to having a Head Coach in place of a Manager? I note that people with better knowledge than me say it costs too much in non-playing staff costs to generate each £. With many of the day to day decisions of a normal football club falling to Bristol Sport (see latest answers to the SC&T meeting with City officials), I'm optimistic that this could actually work for us as a cost cutting measure without seeing much difference off-the-pitch.
  17. I use the "Work" skin which explains my being here
  18. Make this post into a register, here sir!
  19. Seems some can get in still. I was just finding it incredible that there had been 4 posts/replie by 1.30pm I'd put it down to us having little to moan about but makes sense if there's internet issues out there.
  20. Nige confirms it was a club decision, not PA’s
  21. Last season it started to fall apart when injuries started piling up, this season it seems to be in spite of a fair number of injuries and we hopefully have players returning in the coming weeks. Imagine what our options will look like with Atkinson, Weimann and Conway back
  22. If we keep this up, Nige might be allowed some of the Nest Egg in January ?
  23. Unless they try to be more like Bristol City ?
  24. Stabbed in the back after falling whilst running away. Doesn't sound like hooligans engaging in a bit of consensual fighting and more like attempted murder.
  25. You do them a disservice. I’m pretty sure they’d have pitched a tent on the park end.
