Why didn't they just wait 3 more games and then roll it out fully for next season with people getting some notice about it?

Mate of mine has bought 6 for the Rotherham game, I can guarantee he will get in a panic with a queue behind whilst trying to scroll through them one by one to get in each individual. Also needs to have everyone with him at the same time to go in, as a screenshot forwarded to someone else won't work apparently.

I'd have thought Screenshots would work unless they are planning to do away with the barcode/QR code scanner?

If they are planning to go to NFC only, that would mean going from 100% of people can enter with some form of paper ticket atm to a percentage far smaller than that. At the present time, 15m people in the UK use NFC for payments from their phone (the technology involved if abandoning bar-codes).

Can you not save the different ticket as a picture then scan / swipe through them?

Sorry to be pedantic but I can't see the difference

Screenshot the different pages of the wallet app you mean? Not if no fore-thought has been given. I am not talking about me. 😂

But we should be making it easier to attend not adding extra hoops to jumps through.

I know in my day-to-day work life, I have tried showing what I view as very simple computer tasks to people who aren't technologically minded and they shut down because it's technology.

As I said above, it's not a deal breaker for me, I can easily manage the wallet app if I attend but its another complication to going to City games and eventually for some it becomes too much hassle.

Okay I'm annoyed as we have them 3-3.5k tickets there last year, and they only give away sides 2k. I honestly think reciprocation of allocation ratios or similar wouldn't be a terrible thing. The use of public money, maybe it is good for the City of Birmingham but for whatever reason perhaps we in Bristol waste infrastructure cash Idk but it does feel as if we get less than other places.

Mini rant over.. the income thing is unusual for a start. Their Naiming Rights deal for one feels toppy. With FFP and the potential % of revenue rule it feels imperative that the Governing bodies get a grip..

The Sports Quarter sounds ambitious, the wider picture. We have plans of something on the AG site..The framework is already there given Football, Rugby, Women's Football at times and Concerts. Some fans believe it is to our detriment, I'd say the jury is out however potential sure..stick a Hotel on there, Basketball is also due to move to the footprint, increased Parking. If most of the revenue goes to the club.

60k however, well I suppose success breeds success but looks like they are dreaming and disregarding the here and now. That absolutely looks toppy however.

The Naming Rights deal with owners..for one.

    A) Feels high for the level aligned to their recent on pitch performance.

    B) It is an RPT surely.

    C) The Valuer was/is an expert in their field..but a quick search shows they have a been club Partner.

They've been transparent about it yes. Chunks are Performance Based.

The £100k per 20m impressions works out at £5 per 1000 which is broadly in line with Social Media advertising rates. Maybe even slightly undervalued.

As long as your phone can show a photo you will be fine

Out of interest is there much difference between showing a photo and swiping to the next compared to scanning a print out and then showing the next?

I'd say one person stood as kind of a bottle neck fiddling with scrolling and scanning is inferior to each person having their own printed ticket yes.

However, the talk above is that scrolling between photos isn't the option here if pdfs are truly no longer being sent out and you have to enter them to your wallet. That is go to the ticket, scan, back out, go into the next ticket scan, back out, go into the next ticket, scan.

It's not a deal breaker for me but there's people out there for sure that hate technology enough as it is and at the least, it slows down entry to everyone behind them and at the worst it is another drip-feed way of making a day at the football more hassle than its worth (not all the club's fault I should add....eg parking gets worse each season).

I wonder what the thinking is behind this? Is it really going to save that much money by not sending PDFs.

Especially weighed up against a father of two at the turnstile now having to cycle through different tickets on his wallet app to get his two phone-less young children through where previously he just printed all 3 tickets out and scanning their way in became part of the experience that they enjoyed.

We cannot include goalkeeper information, because goalkeeper’s who are typically positioned better than others will consistently have lower PS xG and their GSAA% will be deflated, despite the low PS xG value being a result of their quality positioning.

Could this explain his pretty low PSxG?

I feel like on double saves he often makes them look routine due to having fairly good awareness of his goalmouth?

This is an interesting one. I wonder how much money Steve will have saved in "efficiencies" through running the Bristol Sport stable in comparison to the price he ultimately gets for the football club (if he can untie it) or the whole lot (if he can't) versus the price he wants/investment he has made? Nobody is really interested in investing in Rugby or Basketball at a huge level (in fact Rugby Union is a basket case of a sport right now below international level) and not many people who might be looking to buy a football club want a Rugby Club and a Basketball Club and their associated running costs "chucked in" as part of the deal.

I think Bristol Sport is the heaviest of millstones around the clubs neck.....would be interested if anyone thinks the opposite.

I've said this before, the list of billionaires who wish to own a football club is quite small already.

Imagine how large the list of billionaires who wish to own a football club and a rugby club is?

Now reduce that further by producing a list of billionaires who wish to own a football club, a rugby club and a basketball club.

So with a season now with nothing to play for (except vindicating the management appointments by finishing say 11th) will some of these young players be given a chance on the 1st team bench?

    Hope so...

No, there's an U18 League to be won.

As well as limiting the number of posts.

I like the ignore list suggestion but I think the membership should be perks rather than basic functions. I wouldn’t want a debate stifled because people ran out of posts for the day.

Assumed Man City would be far superior but they really weren't.

Without the 3 injuries and the disruption they caused we may well have won it.

Poor crowd - I'd like to think it would have been much better supported at AG.

Fewer empty seats than the 1st XI get at the Etihad though…
