Can you expand further? I had a tough time watching on RTV today…what change did he make?
I’d have to watch it back to see for sure, but it felt like Robert’s was pushed more into a fullback role and Cam came inside to midfield?
Maybe it was more intent than actual positioning? You now have me questioning my memory

Not sure who posted it, but someone shared a picture with an example of how it can look , I think it may have been Rugby I'll have to look. But that was the point I realised and started questioning things myself.
I found this…

Definitely finish as high as we can this season. A lot of fans still need convincing we are on the right path (and I include myself in that number). Some evidence that Manningball can be successful will actually have an impact on our financials as much as anything. The last two games have been a good start.

Absolutely , but he needs to look for others too. Not sure who it was , but a 5 yard pass to an unmarked player on the edge of the box with the defence all over the place ? Should have been a 2nd. He only passes when there is no option .
He is better than he was when NP dropped him , he's learnt . But he needs to improve even more.
No doubt but I did see evidence of him sliding others in when previously he’d have kept going alone. I’m convinced there’s a 10+ goal a season player in there at this level, it’s unlocking it that will be key to us succeeding.

It was nice to dominate possession second half but not have it be slow and ponderous!

Well, I have to give credit where it's due, the Subs worked well .
I did wonder why Roberts, but with Pring there and Tanner getting some joy it made sense to get Sykes on. Really caused problems. Mehmeti had an easy pass on for2-0 , he shot again , not surprised he was swapped out for Cornick. But we really need an upgrade there.Good performance all round . From Max who punched well today , to Andy King ,who I would have loved him to score that one chance he had. Williams had a good impact , Knight looks so much better deeper Tanner had another good game. I think the only one below his level was Conway, and I think a lot of that is down to how Manning has played him. Though TBF we got better ball into him , including crosses.
I did enjoy how we played the game out, specially though added time. Controlled and smart. Long may it continue.I think you’re being harsh on Mehmeti, I like that he wants to shoot when in those positions. Don’t forget that we scored following the keeper saving his initial effort.

The most impressive things today is we saw signs that Manning is finally prepared to change things if Plan A isn’t working as evidenced by the change of shape during the first half and again at half time. We’ve been told he’s learning on the job, hopefully this learn is now a permanent addition to his toolbox.

Twine foul in the box.
Compare with the one on Sykes.
Bottle Job ref.

I dunno, all sounds a bit snowflakey to me, wanting everyone to be included and that.
Even if you ignore consideration for the fans, statistically 2 of our matchday squad today will be colour blind. I’d like for them to be able to tell the difference between us and Plymouth

Credit to LM today. He tweaked Roberts’ positioning in the first half which changed the momentum and then the half time subs have us playing very well this half. Anis two good performances in a row?

Absolutely hate 3/5 at the back as no wingers.
Very much depends on the style (or intent, as Dave put it above) of that 3/5.
A Cotts' style 352 was pretty attacking and wasn't too dissimilar to Venables' 352 in Euro96.

All three of those teams at the top have some pretty unlikeable characteristics really.
I guess if one has to pick them it's anyone but Man City...buy in my ideal world I'd have none of them win it.
It'll come.
…and then the 4th place team is Villa who are arrogant nobheads when they come down to our level.

According to their forum he’s deservedly been dropped for poor performances.

Must have been really great tactical planning for the opposition.
They had an XG of 1.9.
That’s higher than in 22 other games Leicester played this season. So we didn’t exactly ‘keep them quiet’ due to some tactical master plan.
22 other teams have limited them to less chances.
And you very easily gloss over the Vardy chances.
We could easily have lost that 3-1 had he tucked away those.
It was a good win. But let’s not get carried away. We got lucky.
If Liam tells Max to make multiple incredible saves before each game and instructs Anis to score, we only need them to follow ‘the plan’ and we’ll soon be flying up that table.
All those detailed opposition plans have got him a 33% win rate, exactly matching the statistical probability of any given football match.

Can I ask Pops, what site do you get this info from?

If Manning is going to be given the summer they have to back him and pay for Twine. We need 2 or 3 quality players this summer to play the way he wants. Twine plus a striker plus an upgrade on Mehmeti (someone who can beat a player but consistently make the correct final ball). None of these will be cheap. There is financial headroom particularly if Conway is sold. The team is under-invested for various reasons over the last 3 years and needs an injection of quality to play this way successfully. We can see the quality that Twine gives us and we won't get away with trying to do it on the cheap. We will try and do it cheaply though. He is their man. They need to back him financially. My hunch is that they won't.
Someone who beats their man as often as Mehmeti does but then makes better decisions plays in the Prem. You either accept someone who beats their man less often with that better decision making when he occasionally does or you work with / pray that Mehmeti’s decision making can improve (not impossible at his age / with confidence of other good decisions)

11:40. I lied, it wasn’t word for word it was - “Brian regularly says to me it’s only six games ago the Southampton game when everybody was on a high”
So, slight paraphrase but pretty much the same
We were on a high because it was an exception to the norm as much as anything.
Tins, if you’re reading the attached image, that isn’t 7 wins for Manning…
