I did not hear the earlier comment on the show where someone, the chap Gay it seems, said that Manning has 8 games to save the show. What does that mean? Does he have to win some games? Play well, so performances? Get a certain number of points?
Also, based on what I read here, that person is being fed information directly, allegedly, from Tinnion. If that is the case, then Tinnion needs cautioning, as that sort of information is far too sensitive and important to be divulging outside of the club management circles. That undermines Manning further (and I am someone who wants him gone) and is unprofessional. What if the players get to hear that?
Last week we had Tins directly on the show. This week we had his Pro Procurationem. Both revealing commercially sensitive information. This club

I was with you until the last sentence.
It's the Head Coach we need to bin, along with Tinnion and Jon Lansdown who at bare minimum for the last 2 we need to redeploy to positions more befitting of their talent..
I know. I was being facetious.

The quality of players are fine if we play to their strengths they were recruited for. Unfortunately we seem to be intent on playing to their weaknesses as our Head Coach isn't flexible enough to play a different way. So, we need to bin the lot and start again.

So would I be.
But as he has just let all that be sacked off, just how likely do you think it is?
My Hail Mary is that SL’s increased visibility at the last two games is borne out of fear that Jon, Brian & Liam are seriously risking any potential sale price and having shown he doesn’t want to be hands on anymore, he employs competent professionals to protect his asset’s value.

He's THE BIGGEST ****ING PROBLEM OF ALL!!!
And also, if you haven't noticed, he washed his hands of it some while ago.
SELL. UP. AND. ****. OFF.
I'm ok with him appointing experienced & competent CEO, DoF and Manager and leaving them to it in the absence of immediate buyers.

i don't think there can be too many fingers pointed at Manning today. WBA are and always have been a bigger club, and they have a better squad of players. We played OK
26 points from 23 games at this level. Leicester up next.

Also we have to remember that McKenna only won 2 of his first 12 games at Ipswich so it’s wrong to judge Manning after just 23 games.

Please don't Ian. I need to lie down, its hard to reflect on defeats.
I’m surviving on gallows humour of others and the suspicion we already have enough points to stay up. If I seriously thought we could go down, I’d feel far worse.

NP and then the Fleming game.
21/15. 1.4 PPG, 40%.
Manning.
26/23 (As it stands). 1.13 PPG, 30.43% (As it stands).
We weren't too bad first half all told.
Very likely to be 26/24 after the Leicester game.

They were 1-0 up, made a like for like change. Moved Mowatt more deeper for Diangana to get the ball deeper and into the game with the fullbacks getting up higher up the pitch, couple of passes and they score.
That's how you make a change and an impact.
Don't worry, we got the big boot and hope.
Incorrect. Once the game has started there is little you can do as a manager to affect the result. And let’s not forget we beat Southampton please.

Really all we need is a new goalkeeper who never concedes a goal, at least one playmaker who creates multiple high quality chances every game, and then a couple of strikers who never miss chances and we'll be golden!
Someone should contact the club and make sure they're aware - we might have cracked the code to winning promotion here.
As long as the hierarchy still like the current manager/head-coach and haven’t closed the cheque book.

Not got started this half.

Considering a thread title change in respect to the direction of our club.
“WBA away match thread, don’t forget we beat Southampton”

I don’t think we have mentioned beating Man U as much as these guys mention beating Southampton…. And that has a several year head start!

I think Tins also takes a lot of the flack and anger from fans as he’s the only staff member above LM thats visible.
JL last talked about city in what october? Pretty sure Gavin had an interview around then as well. Steve? cant for the life of me remember the last time he talked about city through city channels.
Brian’s there, he’s on SOTC he’s at games so people finally have a person to share their concerns or more likely shout their abuse at.
Similar to the start of the season when all the frustrations over the lack of investment post scott sale were aimed at Pearson, who quite rightly replied “why the hell are you asking me?”.
Why was Pearson the only one who dealt with the Press before his departure? Because everyone else was thought to be wet-behind-the-ears and poor communicators was the theory.
Now Pearson has gone and we have appointed in his place a Head Coach who also lacks in communication, Tins has taken it upon himself to prove the theories correct.
In my opinion, at least one of Tinnion/Manning/Jon needs to go and be replaced by someone experienced, competent and confident. Preferably two of. If not all three.

(not the way LM would play it)
There’s 3 at the back and 3 at the back. I like the kind Cotts played and with the CBs we currently have could play that way if given license to. Potentially McCrorie could too imo.
The Manning style of sideways passing and little movement forward to break lines isn’t the way.

And why Vyner was right to force the issue on wage increase / contract too.
Not forgetting Rob Atkinson (who I had down as the best CB at the club prior to his injury).
It's why I am not totally against 3 at the back if/when RA returns as in those 3 we do have players who would not look out of place in a play-off chasing side. Then we need to ensure the rest of the squad suits the system (and tbf, I believe we have suitable WBs currently at the club already).

Having heaped pressure on Manning with the top 6 stuff, are we saying Challis has to go if he doesn’t achieve the owner’s requirement of winning the Youth Cup?
-
I like to think that Rob Dickie is an absolute steal at just £1.1m. What a player we got there!
Also Cornick hasn't done that badly for a free transfer
