2 wins in 18 games...
Last 6 games were 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. I think there were definitely signs of improvement. Not saying brilliant or anything but the groundwork had been put in and things were slowly turning. Clearly the decision to change was proven correct though.

He put the foundations in place - just wasn’t a great ‘fans’ manager. He was starting to turn the results around at the end.

Not sure if we will get the 2,225 (5%) or 3,340 away end capacity. But gone for flights out of stanstead on Saturday until Sunday to Poznań. Hopefully get a ticket…

Is there a more dull and boring sport as tennis, does anyone actually take time out to watch it on the telly?
Yes I do - love it and here on court 1 today. Did ground pass Monday.

We are 50-1 at a few places.

The Walsall fan I know described him as one of the worst he’s ever seen.
I guess he will gone fairly soon as doesn’t sound like he will make it at level below let alone championship.

It was once stated that the team finishing 6th are delighted to be there whereas the 3rd placed team are disappointed as they had eyed auto.
However, since City returned to the Championship the P/O winners were; 2016 - 4th, 2017 - 4th, 2018 - 3rd, 2019 - 5th, 2020 - 4th, 2021 - 3rd and 2022 - 4th.
And I think last time 6th won in championship was a long time ago. And the general stats for 6th are poor.

The team that sneaks into 6th at the last minute usually do quite well in the play offs so for that reason I fancy Sunderland.
I’m pretty sure that isn’t true - no doubt someone has the stats but pretty sure 6th place don’t do well often

Good work by Scott - lots of scouts watching. Clearly wants to stay at city next season.

No chance is that a pen. De Bruyne kicked his foot!

Reading have Wigan at home next Sat, a game they have to win and then Huddersfield away….they could get four points from their last two games
Be nice to go to QPR with something still riding on it for them
They could but point us you’ve got a lot of teams between qpr and the relegation zone plus a healthy points gap from their POV. It’s extremely unlikely they will go down but can but hope there might be some interest on final day.

That said, many people on here after a couple of bad results "can't see where the next win is coming from" yet we manage to get it somehow. Reading do have two games that they "could" get maximum points from.
They do (very unlikely) but others are playing each other so not all will get points so 47 now pretty much means safety sadly. I guess it could get nervy last day which is what I want so there is something on qpr game.

If Cardiff & Rotherham draw their outstanding game, they both go above QPR, who will be right back in it again.
Main issue being qpr are 4 points clear of danger - I don’t see Reading getting 4 points.

Qpr sadly safe after that win - was hoping for an interesting last day. Suspect the bottom 2 still drop but they have a glimmer after today. Leaves 1 from 4 and likely to be Reading as they don’t have as much fight as a Warnock side I don’t think.

I reckon QPR have just done enough now with that win. They`d have been bottom four if they`d lost and are now 18th four points clear of 22nd
Yeh they will survive now - shame as wanted some interest on final day

Looked the most obvious penalty - somehow waved away. Game should be over.

One of the best PL games ever? It wouldn't even feature in the top 50.
It will for me and no doubt many others. Sorry it doesn’t make your list.

Not a great result for either in the end. Arsenal without Saliba will struggle on Weds.
I think the title is gone for them and be amazed if saints stay up. As you say neither result suited but what a game.

One of best ever PL games. Southampton unbelievable to get a draw but also will feel upset they threw away a 2 gol lead with 2 mins to go.

He’s been ok this season - much improved but coming from a low base. If Brentford offering any half decent money then bye bye

County Cricket 2023 Season

Rules are a shambles and always favour chasing side. Hampshire would have won with 170 in a normal game.
