And in fairness we should react to that. But we didn’t.
Isn't that exactly what we did do & what you are criticising..?

Thought it was a matter of him being absolutely shattered more so than an injury. Maybe a bit of both but he’s got to be at the top of the list for distanced covered in the squad this season. Robert’s is very decent cover so we’ll be ok if he is out for a game or 2.
We have a decent little squad coming together, with the forward line strengthened in the summer & hopefully Williams & James (for another 12 months) retained, or upgraded - maybe already covered with Bird - we have/will have far better depth heading into next season - whatever comes of this season.

The problem with that is that there are probably 16 teams that aren't a million miles off 5th-10th and we are very much average in that group.
Well yeah - that is the point of the league table format - so that most teams within it are competitive.
This season the relegated prem sides are generally a vlass above the division they have come into.
Ipswich are excelling and then a few teams have struggled all season & will likely go down.
The rest of us are fairly evenly matched - as it should be.
We are competitive in almost ever game & like most others - need that spark or inspired addition to push on & find the consistency in our play & results to progress into one of the top 6 sides.
No reason we can't & have a sound squad to build on, albeit a bit thin on numbers & options.
When the likes of Skyes are out we really moss them because we don't have equal quality to replace them with & lack their extra class & impact.
Hopefully Dire will hit the ground running & make an impact - but he might turn out to just be another Yeboah.
I like how we are planning & building towards next season already.
That isn't "giving up" on this season - it's just been the business that we have been able to do & probably lack the depth of quality to sustain any good form this season - but who knows... get Dire, Twine & Skyes all fit & on form ASAP & who knows what impact that might have over the final 3rd of the season.

We are nowhere near the top 2, or 4 for that matter.
Beyond that, we aren't a million miles off 5th-10th.

I was sure we'd end up with one of those defensive Stikers..!

I reckon if that happened I'd admit I was wrong (gladly). But let's be honest, none of those things are going to happen, are they?
No, of course not - progress will do just fine at first.

U20/21s isn't it? Not sure why you're taking such an issue with me calling it what it's called.
I'm absolutely delighted that this guy is a Bristol City player. Looks a good signing and he seems really happy and excited to be here. I think his personality will be endearing to our fans and its great to hear that we have an option.
My comments about not having an option were made before it came out from his club that we do so not sure why you're laying into me on that.
However it possible to be happy about a signing and also wonder where that leaves the likes of Bell and Mehmeti.
I wasn't laying in to you.
You jumped on a post by someone who obviously wasn't giving correct info about it having no option & your post was after the screenshot of his portent club saying that there is an option.
So many who appear for England youth levels never make anything much of their career. I don't thing Bell is anywhere near at our level - yet.
I'm hoping this new lad has a far bigger impact than Mehmeti.
To progress, we need to upgrade.
I think Sam Bell would benefit from loan, same as Yeboah.

So what’s the plan?
For some - the plan is to disagree with anything we do from here on in, because it isn't good old Nige..!
We could surge up the table, finish top 6, win the play offs, in our 3rd Wembley victory of the season as we win the FA Cup, qualify for Europe & get promoted in LM's first season & some would post here insisting that we'd have done it under Nige anyway & that Tinnion is a snake & the Lansdowns need to get out of our club..!

Well no he's not going to make it at this level if he's suddenly seeing his minutes reduced.
Remember he was called up to the England elite squad earlier on in the season and got an assist for them.
You do know that the fancier named "England Elite" is still nothing more than the under 18's (or whatever age bracket it is) yeah.?!
You have posted criticising this transfer, yet completely ignored the posts & screenshots that disprove that it's not got an option on it if he looks upto this level.

Welcome Adedire.
The nest egg has been opened a bit. What does this mean for Yeboah among others?
Along the front, young..He was at Rangers and Man City, a CFG connection of some kind?
It doesn't change the fact that Yeboah is not anywhere even close to being first team ready.!
Whether this new lad is or not, doesn't change the fact that Yeboah is not.!

You have to wonder if Screech who Wally signed is going to be doing the coaching.
This production line they have never stops.
Strange he didn't really make it & failed to emulate the endless list of Jordanians & Kuaiti's who have taken the English Football league by storm...!

Why oh why are they so full of shit
What a depressing read and sadly one in which Gas heads through the decades have become accustomed to. A director from a fellow league 1 side (who have also had their share of problems) asked me what do you know about the new owner ?, we cant find anything concrete!! - my reply was: SNAP!! I believed like many that Wael would do the right thing and bring in the right “honest” individuals., has he been fooled ? - Who are these people ?. Yep it’s the “here we go again” syndrome. Who would be a ruddy Gas head ? - Amongst the best fans in the land, who deserve so much more, it is sadly depressing to keep living these shambolic offerings. I still say “They built a new stand - that is progress” but the overall picture is confusing at best and depressing in reality. UTFG
When people slate our owners & criticise their every move & demand that they sell up & move on...... we don't have to look very far up the road to see just how that could turn out..!

I love that these games are getting sold out so quickly!
If people don't have membership, at least, they don't get a look in - as it should be.
Our fan base of people who actually attend games, other than Wembley has risen so much over the past 10 years!

Will somebody have stacked away the plastic patio chairs aswell - or are they risking a massive reduction in capacity for their next game.

I very much doubt that it's still a thing these days (although I know it used to be, several generations ago)
Bit could their even lower that usual attendance be down to both of us being home on the same day & are some people going to their games just as a form of local football when we are away..? As soon as there is a choice, it's Ashton Gate that those people actually head for.?
7,500 home fans, on the opening day of their new cowshed, seems absurdly low.!
