  1. Well done to all the weekend runners some great efforts. I'm coming out of retirement to do the Westonbirt 10k on Thursday night (think its my fourth time), about a stone over weight and struggling with plantar fasciitis so my PB is probably safe this year .

  2. I was very cynical as the Beeb were giving them so much lovein but I actually watched a few of the series and you can see they are in it for a few good reasons as well as a vanity project. The fact they didn't quit after the first two failed years was a surprise to me as apparently they had 10 clubs under consideration before they picked Wrexham. Notts County have also spent well above their means (they've got away with it as Financial reporting doesn't have to be very sophisticated in the National League) so its not quite as black and white as some people like to make out in terms of player investment and thus why both were miles clear.

It must be spreading as a retired NFL player and his wife are now investing in Burnley (apparently a lovely place!!!) https://www.skysports.com/nfl/news/11095/12870907/burnley-fc-nfl-star-jj-watt-and-wife-kealia-announce-investment-in-the-clarets

    Hello!

The Wife and I (American Bristol City fans) will be attending our first match vs Rotherham!

We are looking at W15 in Landsdown, or E31 in Dolman. Would the experience be much different between the two? Or are there any other recommendations?

Appreciate any help that can be provided!

Welcome to Bristol City, I would definitely say the Dolman as I think the view is better but probably not a huge difference.

I'm a fan of the Bears and Cubs so great to see Chicagoans making the trip over the pond. Bristol is a great City so I'm sure you'll have a great despite the football :)

Ashton Gate once had the claim to fame of hosting an American Football game but a lot of the stadium has changed sine then...

If you need any other holiday tips drop me a message

  5. Recently got into watching the Sports Docus on Netflix, very well put together and focus on different individuals each episode - Break Point (tennis) was excellent and Full Swing (golf) I've just started and is also a good watch. I hear the reviews of the F1 version are even better... definitely recommend.

Running the London marathon in April, any tips? Aiming for under 4 hours but that's a dream at the min, to not walk is another aim!!!

    any advice welcome

Stay in an Airbnb rather than a hotel, I made a weekend of it. I picked a less favourable area and even managed to just walk to the start. You can travel (there or) back on the tube for free so that's a bonus but obviously busy.

Pee anywhere you can find on course as the toilets will be busy :)

I actually found reading Chris Evans autobio was a good insight as he had a couple of chapters devoted to running and the marathon itself from memory. Probably pick it up for about 50p now...

  7. I bought a restricted view ticket in the Dolman for the Man U game as I wasn't a member. There was some glass screens in the vicinity but nothing to block the view at all, in fact some season ticket holders sat near me said their mates just never got around to buying their season ticket seats and they were just reissued so weren't overly happy with me and a few others sat there !

Both Conference games highlighted just how raw an edge football can have. Watching the Niners was like watching your pet dog die - just about everything that could go bad did. It was not their night.

And the late hit on Mahomes right at the end that put the Chiefs in field goal range was a classic Bengal bungle. Linebacker Joseph Ossai sat on the bench and his world caved in - he'd just thrown a year's worth of the team's sweat and tears in the bin. But that's football...

Superbowl LVII looks like being a genuine classic and I'm ordering the party-size pizza now!

Definitely a late hit on Mahomes despite the Bengals fans best attempts to blame it all on the zebras.. Going to be a blood bath in the Superbowl with how hard both teams play..

Do they though? My away shirt never arrived and was refunded.  I’d be wary at this point.

I've ordered two kids kits from China over the last two seasons had a bit of a wait but they both turned up, quality I would say is only marginally less than the real thing at a fraction of the cost. This might be depriving the club but I am rarely at the ground and they rarely have stock past Christmas not to mention the large postage costs the club shop put on everything.

    Club career[edit]

At age of 7 Haikin began his youth career at FSHM Torpedo-Moscow. Nikita was also a part of Dinamo Moscow academy before moving to England.[citation needed]

In September 2013, Haikin went on trial with Reading following his release from Chelsea.[2] Haikin made his professional debut in the Israeli Premier League for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv on 25 February 2017 in a game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.[3]

He then ran out of the contract and joined Hapoel Kfar Saba for one season.

In March 2019 he signed a contract with Eliteserien club Bodø/Glimt with whom Nikita became a silver medalist in his first season and won the championship in the two consecutive seasons (2020 and 2021).

Haikin also debuted in Europa League qualification in 2020 where Bodø/Glimt got eliminated by Milan at San Siro.

Reminds me of Panutche Camará who they nicked off Plymouth for £500k, think he's played one minute of league football since September. Ashton must have a great physio team with him again ...
