So with the Yate game, that is 4 fixtures in one day.
Meanwhile Pep and Jurgen burst into tears when they have 3 games in a week for their multi million pound squads of 50.
Yate game is in August???

Not yet, but they will be on the OS once announced.
They never / rarely seems to be much announcement of u23 friendlies, which is what you were getting at.
Definitely something club could improve.
Yeah U23's friendlies mainly, seems odd we don't help promote local clubs via these fixtures especially as tonight's is for charity. One tweet might get a few extra on the gate? I usually go to the Yate Town one but away on holiday this year so was looking for an alternative game to go to with my son as the club seem to have forgotten most people work/at school in July during the day?

Surely no one is running in this heat.....?

Looks like its not happening. Glasto must be out as well as he's got no space for that on his european dates.
Or they will add in a few extra dates *due to exceptional demand, standard tactic from promoters.

Is there a list of u23 fixtures anywhere (the club don't seem to promote them for some reason) tempted to go tonight but didn't know if there were any closer fixtures next week? thanks.

I guess it's the controversy about betting sponsors that allows that. No I get that sponsors paying lots of money want all the exposure they can get, and there are some I've liked . Just a shame.
Does have a tinge of green in it to my eyes.
I've still got the shorts from this season definitely green

What Kyrgios said in explosive press conference
Reporter: Sorry to get off the tennis track. Rather serious question. Were you racially abused out on court?
NK: Not today, no, no. But a lot of disrespect was being thrown today from the crowds. I'm just starting to think that it's normal when it's really not. You know, I didn't say anything to the crowd until they started just every time I came down to the far end, people just going. It's just I don't know if it's normal or not.
Reporter: How does that make you feel when you feel that? A lot of people like you here. Is this something new that you're discovering?
NK: It just happened, like, obviously when it happened in Stuttgart, the racial abuse, and then it happened to (Naomi) Osaka in Indian Wells where someone screamed out, affected her match. I just don't understand why spectators feel like they're able to do that.
Reporter: Are you able to share with us any details of what was said to you?
NL: Just pure disrespect, just anything. Like someone just yelled out I was s*** in the crowd today. Is that normal? No. But I just don't understand why it's happening over and over again.
Reporter: You normally love this tournament…
NK: No, I love this tournament. It's got nothing to do with Wimbledon. I just think it's a whole generation of people like on social media feeling like they have a right to comment on every single thing with negativity. It just carries on to real life.
Because there's a fence there, and I physically can't do anything or say anything because I'll get in trouble. They just feel the need that they're just able to say anything they want.
Reporter: On the flip side of that, you were overheard today, you were having a bit of an interaction with the line judges. At one point I think you said: "You're in your 90s, you can't see the ball."
NK: No, I said most of the umpires are older, and I just don't think that's ideal when you're playing a sport of such small margins. Factually people that are younger have better eyesight. Do you not think that's appropriate?
When you're playing at a sport for hundreds and thousands of dollars, do you not think that we should have people that are really ready to call the ball in or out?
Reporter: Is it an age thing, though?
NK: Factually does someone have better eyesight when they're younger?
Reporter: Not necessarily.
NK: What do you mean 'not necessarily' (laughter)? What does he mean? What do you mean 'not necessarily'?
Reporter: I don't know.
NK: That specific thing, I hit a ball in, the old man called it out, it was in. So arguably if the guy was 40, he may not have called that out.
Reporter: But he may be 60 and may have 20/20 vision, you don't know that.
NK: In this case he got the call wrong.
Reporter: Young people get a call wrong, don't they?
NK: Okay. I don't understand the question, though.
Reporter: Can you elaborate on the whole social media thing? Do other players share your fears? What would you like Wimbledon to do about it?
NK: I didn't say it for anyone to... I'm just giving you an example. I think people, spectators, everyone is so quick to just negatively put their energy on someone else. And there's no real consequences.
On social media you can just bash someone on social media and there's no real consequence. Now, whether it's racial abuse or just disrespect, it's acceptable. But why is that acceptable?
Reporter: If it's two or three times, should they then say...
NK: I don't know. As a player who cops it very hard, I'm getting it nearly every match. I'm playing someone who is -- just because they're sitting there and I can't do anything, they just feel the need.
Reporter: Has any authority ever taken a fan out in any of your matches?
NK: Yeah, a couple of times.
Reporter: Do you have any sympathy for what happens with the line judges, for example? Do you have any sympathy with sometimes how they're treated by players, for example? Umpires take it, line judges take it.
NK: It goes deeper than that because if I lose a tennis match and it comes down to a call, they're not getting abused on social media. I have to deal with it. My girlfriend deals with hate messages. My family deals with hate messages. I deal with hate messages.
Where, for instance, that time in Miami when Carlos Bernardes did that and the whole match turned. Was he dealing with the repercussions? I still deal with that. They just move on like nothing happened. They're back out there refereeing, umpiring.
For me the hate messages, they carry way more weight than just that. That's what people don't understand. It's not just, Oh, he made a bad call, and I'm just abusing the umpire. I'm frustrated.
If I lose this match, you have no idea how much abuse I have to go through, where the umpires don't go through anything. What do they go through?
Reporter: Do you have any sympathy for them, though?
NK: Yeah, if I hit a 220 serve and it hits him, Oh, sorry. Are you okay? If they make a bad call, I just focus on one line, why would I have sympathy for that? There's hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line. Why would I have sympathy for that? Doesn't make sense.
Reporter: Can I just ask, at the end you did appear to spit in the direction of...
NK: Of one of the people disrespecting me. Yes.
Its an interesting one, I'd say he shows a complete lack of respect to anyone and even the sport at times so why should anyone show him any respect but then you read about the abuse he receives some even racial and you can see how he behaves the way he does. Spitting towards someone though seriously that's not a great reaction get your water bottle out and drown the fella would have been better .
I went to Wimbledon on Day one, the Aussie fans were by far the loudest though so I'd be interested to hear what most Aussies think of him?

They could do loads more just trying to think of some of the old schemes.
- Membership pack - key ring/stationary/member card/signed photo of fav player
- Junior red day - free match entry or a quid for a kid and a tour of the ground pre match
- Birthday card - signed by fav player
- Zoom Q&A with a few players/Nige throughout the season (would cater for fans who live further afield and was popular in lockdowns)
- Junior reds party
- Reduced coach travel
- A dedicated junior reds U23 game - free entry/tour of HPC
- Junior reds Charity day - get the kids out raising money for a worthy cause or collecting for charity on match day and get free match entry
I think the trouble is these days the club just wouldn't put any staffing resource at it or let anyone do it voluntarily but I could be wrong?

Posh 1-1 this season.
Why don't I go more? Kids, cost, parking, transport, moved further away, I was only saying a the weekend it was far easier when the attendance was half the size and you could rock up half an hour before and park pretty close to the ground without any worries now its almost like a military operation...

Perhaps we are expecting a few bids for Weimann after the season he has had?

There was a really interesting piece (outside of the Hand of God stuff) on BBC Breakfast this morning about the shirt.
Apparently, Argentinas first few games they wore a cotton shirt and the players were uncomfortable. Had no alternate materials so the kitman headed out to Mexico City and purchased a new kit, the one worn vs England. Just off the peg plain blue shirts in a Sports shop. Badges were sewn on (and they were the “old” Argentina badges as that’s all they had) and the numbers were glittery, because the only ones they had were made for American Football.
Maradona allegedly chose the blue shirt they used over another option. It wasn’t worn as a kit again.
Assume it’s true as the bloke from the National football museum was there.
I did read something saying that Maradonna's family were claiming it wasn't his shirt (I assume they are skint and have another one!) but Hodge could prove it by the specific details. Great pay day for him fair play but probably a lawsuit heading his way...

That interview was typical Robins TV tripe, more scripted than Made In Chelsea
He's hardly going to say what he really feels on the club channel..

@phantomDepends what/who the best network signal for 4g is in his area. The best thing to do is get an unlimted data SIM that doesn't offer restrictions and has a decent 4g signal. I bought a Three SIM because they threw in a free 4g router (but you can buy any off ebay). When the contract expired I switched to Lebara (who use Vodafone) as its only £5 a month for the first six months so cheap as chips and no need to bother with your phone!
You can also buy a booster aerial to connect to your 4g router and stick it outside or on a window ledge . I've got one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poynting-4G-XPOL-A0001-Cross-Polarised-Antenna/dp/B00C1DGFPS/ref=asc_df_B00C1DGFPS/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310776295886&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1240181157949401464&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045580&hvtargid=pla-562988606361&psc=1&th=1&psc=1

Well that didn't go quite as expected perhaps. Maybe the non-call of a facemask against a defenceless defensive back was matched by some flags late in the fourth quarter. Either way, the second half was dominated by the D of both sides. The Rams managed to crack the Bengals' porous O-line in the end and got the last score, despite running out of elligible receivers. Kupp remained the last man standing in the end zone and down comes the blue and yellow confetti.
For Stafford, it may be the summit of a long and painful mountain; for Burrows, he'll be back one day.
Oh well, I guess Sundays will be empty now until September again. When's Draft Day...?
I was a bit underwhelmed the Americans have got to stop devaluing the game, it felt like it lasted twice as long as a normal game but they never will as its all about the money/show. Both teams never really got into gear offensively and there weren't too many explosive plays in the second half. Definitely thought the officials tried to correct the wrong of the face mask but the Rams always looked like getting the score anyway.
Fair play to Stafford he's handled the pressure and done the business despite two more picks and a lot of doubters he never would have got their with Detroit (who now get some very low draft picks in exchange!!).
Halt time show was a bit of a 90's revival but both M&M and Mary J sounded like they were mostly miming or singing to backing vocals which was pretty poor, 50 cent semeed to be more the size of 500 cent. Still a lot better than the last few they've done but I'd still sooner rather have a 15 minute half time and get on with the game .
3 hours sleep so onwards and upwards at work!

It was a puzzling performance thought he had a decent game when he reffed the Stoke home game and gave us a few decisions in that one, including a let off for Scott when he went over the ball with a bad tackle, Klose got away with a similar one last night. It was almost like someone had briefed him prematch that he was a bit of a homer last time he was at AG so he needed to give the away side more of the 50/50 decisions and some!
The pen whilst soft you could argue Klose made no effort to play the ball at all and contact although from his butt was made and you give the ref a decision to make. The second one I thought was definitely no pen on the replay Ince clearly just uses his own body to create the contact/downward movment so maybe we need to cut the ref some slack with that one.
The standard of refs does seem to have fallen of a cliff in recent times though, I do wonder if its beacuse they themselves are getting over analysed after every game by the powers that be (they can get binned or demoted leagues at the drop of a hat) and this is knocking their confidence to ref how they want to ref...
is the streaming service worth nearly a million pounds per season to Bristol City?

A lot of ifollow games I've watched use local (very bias!) radio commentary probably to keep costs down so you don't have all the studio stuff you get with Robins TV. But I assume they must pay to use the commentary.
