  1. Haha - of course it’s a shock when a team from League One lose to a side two divisions lower, you prize Gas helmet. At least he got the nice ground to visit part right though, not like that slag heap that BW probably thought is worse than most of the grounds they go to on a week to week basis. ???
  2. Actually I believe that is their club motto:- “cacas nostra braccas”
  3. I’d be surprised if 23k is correct but 21,000 is still admirable considering everyone is skint, we were absolutely cheesewater in midweek and we are close to the bottom of the table.
  4. That sums up the Rent Boys’ fan base perfectly - condoning smacking a player while slating another team’s supporters in the same breath without a hint of irony. Hypocritical flanges.
  5. The contrast isn’t actually that bad, it’s just the dim f**kwits on the terraces make it seem really bright.
  6. That really is an impressive turnout from our fans. Masochists, the lot of ya! ? Considering Cardiff are in almost an identical position to us and pulled in around 5k less.
  7. One of these clubs has been runner-up in the final of the FA Vase, the other has been runner up in the first round of the FA Trophy. Any guesses as to which is which?
  8. They’d still fill Pride Park though…
  9. Less than 9k for the Rent Boys today. Describing their support as “poor” is being very charitable.
  10. Mr Warnock is too busy trying to win re-election to the US senate for Georgia tonight so no need to worry. Arf.
  11. We aren’t showing any signs that we will get two wins any time soon. Our form and results suggest we are heading in the other direction - WBA will soon overtake us. Last season we were fortunate that our division featured a team who were crippled by a points deduction and two others who were hopelessly ill-equipped to compete at that level. The bottom three were already essentially doomed by this time last season. No such luck this time around.
  12. Very much this. The clueless berks who run our club are culpable for the decline - I’m simply not having this “we’re lucky to have him” mantra re Lansdown one minute longer. All he’s interested in is his poxy rugby club. We are in a sorry state.
  13. Because I thought we finally had an experienced head in the dugout who knew what he was doing, unlike his two predecessors.
  14. What depresses me is we are no further forward now than we were this time three years ago - arguably, we’ve gone backwards. Granted we’ve had to flog the family silver and there’s no cash to strengthen the squad, but how infuriating is it that the same old problems keep resurfacing no matter who is in the dugout - alternating undefeated and winless runs, inconsistency, schoolboy errors at the back, inability to capitalise on set pieces, abject displays punctuated by the odd decent showing that lull us into thinking we might have turned the corner. I know a lot of people don’t give a gnat’s chuff about the EFL Cup but I for one will not be happy if we get dumped out by the team that fell to a sixth tier side in the FA Cup. I’m not sure what I expected from NP’s tenure, but it certainly wasn’t to be sucked into the relegation mire. I do hope the WC break galvanises us, but I had a similar hope when everything shut down for COVID and when football got going again we picked up almost exactly where we left off - and not in a good way.

  16. Sadly she left us for Everton a few seasons ago. Joking aside. the fanzine has a decent one: https://www.otibclothing.co.uk/product-page/city-poppy-badge
  17. Outstanding result for Chippers - best team In Wiltshire.
  18. 4,600 ? Hilariously meagre attendance for the tinpot scum. Still I’m sure they’ll shout “SQUIRREL” and obsess over our following at the Riverside. What a pathetic bunch of flanges the Abandoned Tent City mob are.
  19. Arghghghgh! That was incredibly frustrating to watch; very sore to have lost that as they barely created anything all night. We hit post and bar and had other near misses as well. Pretty decent display despite losing. Lost our heads in stoppage time though. Another stonewall pen turned down. What do we have to do to be awarded a spot-kick?
  20. I see Sunderland are banning fans taking coins into the SOL due to recent instances of away fans chucking coins from the nosebleed seats into the home supporters. Perhaps we should close the Atyeo bogs when the gruesome twosome come east and make their fans wear nappies - although in fairness I suspect most of the bed wetting tramps probably already do.
  21. Up to them what they want to be called, although old habits die hard and I suspect even a lot of Welsh people will have a difficult time getting used to such a change. “Czechia”, for example, has never really taken off has it. No problem with Wales being a proud and distinct nation although perhaps they’d like to consider their own Test cricket team and the Welsh teams who play in the English setup might toddle off to the Welsh system. They’re here on sufferance. As one wag observed, the name change after this WC will likely not cause too much red tape - FIFA will probably have another 64 years to sort it out.
  22. Attendance that day was 72,315 and I would estimate around 40,000 were there to support City, probably around 25,000 Walsall and the rest neutrals, comps etc. I say “were there to support City” rather than “were City supporters” as it was obvious where I was sat that there were a fair few day trippers about who ordinarily would not go anywhere near a game. They didn’t seem to know any of the songs and left way before the end - and who in earth leaves a cup final your team are coasting to victory in before the end of the match?!? Of course, given the Gash’s poor home support the “day tripper” element would apply to a good chunk of their 24,000 too. In no universe could they have 40,000 behind them even with the number of hangers-on every club attracts to these type of games. Southampton supposedly hold the record for the number of fans at Wembley. Was something like 60k in the same competition, and clearly they have nothing like that number who go regularly.
