The fact is victims groups have forced changes in the law and police and legal attitudes Groups highlighting peadophiles and attacks on girls/boys and women have over decades forced people to take a look at themselves and the law. I’m very hopeful for the rest of the season. This club was a basket case, yet again, when Pearson was brought in. I won’t go on about the bloated wage bill, bloated squad and the utter knob wits that created it! However we now have a youthful team, some very good senior pros and three of four players coming through that will go all the way to the premier league, hopefully with us! Hopefully those who have screamed so loud like children about Mr Pearson and his ability will shout just as loudly in support of what the team and staff are trying to achieve!

You can’t just release players unless there is an agreement over the remainder of their contract. Thus they got some or all of what they got owed by negotiation OR they wanted a termination in order to be a free agent and go to a club that wants them and not have anything to do with City. Either way they become free agents who can be signed at any time.

I’m really not sure about the rants I’ve seen on here. Selling best players blah blah, season ticket blah blah, etc etc City needed money from somewhere and this opens the opportunity to maybe have a little to spend come July. It also opens a pathway for Sam Bell. It’s how it works! That’s how Brentford did it and what we are trying to emulate. If Premier clubs come for your players then it’s incredibly difficult to keep hold of players who are dreaming of the riches available!
