Pearson makes noise and tells it like it is, to the point of telling us how teams used to like to come to nice little Ashton Gate. It feels like a culture change is underway much deeper than many comprehend. The fact that our away supporters is sooo much more vociferous than we are at home. Personally I always thought Pearson was the right man to clean up the mess made by <insert several initials here> and my view has not changed. We have players from our academy some of whom have huge value and most of the nuts pay packers for sweet nothing have gone! While the bloke is developing a team, largely from our own academy, we have not got the rub of the green to put it mildly with fouls in the area or often on the field. Saturday being an excellent example. However we are currently competitive and in the fourth round of the cup. My own comment earlier was that he has become a lot less abrasive pre match, but can come off as that post match! In view of what I’ve outlined I would suggest the bloke has a passion for the role and realizes like the rest of us that we too often do not get our due. I do wonder if he somehow thinks there is an issue with him that is reflected on the field, who knows! However, he was not rude , he was a bit pissed off particularly about the Peno and the offside, but to be frank I sometimes think part of the problem with our club is that supporters are not pissed off enough and this semi ambivalence is responsible for 43 years of competitive failure. He is far and away the best forward I’ve ever seen. For such a big bloke no one ever seems to know he’s there and if they did wouldn’t be able to stop him. Coupled with the fact his shots on target/off target ratio must be huge I think we are watching a phenomenon!

I don’t know if I’m being over pedantic but Dack was allowed to run from a long way out with no one going with him. I guess that’s something of an Achilles heel if you have three in midfield but…I suspect, we will add that (a player) as we develop. otherwise we are making better use of players, particularly ones coming back. Semenyo is a different class and I expect someone better than Bournemouth to come in this week. I would like us to keep him but, we will see.

I agree with this in general. However the run from midfield for their goal was not tracked. (Which got on my nerves) However we look so much better this way!

If Bournemouth were relegated do you really think his contact would not reflect that he may not be on that in the Championship. Just a thought! As for Burnley who knows what wages they would offer it’s not even been speculated on until now. However let’s be frank to not go up from here will be a stroke of anti genius! Lots to consider for those concerned and lots to speculate on by others!

City don’t need to sell. The willing buyer and willing seller applies. The press conference yesterday at one point alluded to the Bournemouth interest was leaked to the press in order to undermine the position of Bristol City by unsettling the player. This could be done by a number of interested parties for a number of reasons, none of them being advantageous to Bristol City. However the Burnley bid was alluded to in a different light as it was kept between clubs. Semenyo would be nuts to go to Bournemouth. The pressure he would be under to get goal’s immediately would be huge. However Burnley I would suggest is a better move. Nevertheless I wouldn’t rule out another club coming in. Either way right now there is not so much pressure on Bristol City particularly with Kalas coming in.

By and large this is how I see it. The kid did not develop beyond the neat little drag backs and getting between the opposing player and the ball. Four years and we have what we had on day one. As much as I would like the kid to go on win the World Cup and make us 40% of gazillions it’s not going to happen here. All of this nonsense about contracts is the kid and his advisors pretty much thinking the same thing. I had to laugh about the thought that Anderslecht have an interest. If it’s only one club (and I have my doubts) it would seem most likely he’s here until June. If that’s the case so be it.

Go on over their lad and negotiate a deal for yourself! Not bound to turn the players head while negotiations with the clubs are going on, thereby lessening leverage as the play starts to agitate to leave. Maybe it’s true, City are not that stupid, are they!
