They already do this in amateur football, works quite well actually. 1. I’m unsure of, too subjective. Yellows work fine not really a problem that needs fixing 2. Silly idea, I know some roll and take the piss but you won’t solve anything. Anyone not actually hurt but wanting to waste time will just roll less? They’ll still waste time. Also punishing teams when they have an actual injury, if time wasting is a concern just stop the watch. 3. As above already being done at some levels and works well. 4. This is better than it was but just have a rule like rugby where only the captain can talk to the ref?

No matter how shit the game is I’ll never understand the logic of watching a game on TV when it’s happening live right outside. That’s US culture where the games go on all day/night and not much happens.

I tell this story often, but having just met a couple of girls from Leeds on holiday and being in the area for work they persuaded me to watch the game with them in the Billy’s Bar at Elland road. When that equaliser went in I’ve never been so scared to move or speak in all my life ?

That is embarrassing. “Bring Pyros”? ? -
Quite a powerful article about grief and football.

Thanks for sharing, very emotional - funny and sad. My Dad and I don’t really have a relationship, the only thing we really bond over is football. I’m City because his Dad took him, and then he took me. I can relate to the author a little, we didn’t grow up poor as such but we had few luxuries. Going to City as a kid was a special occasion, usually a birthday or I remember one fond memory where my Dad told me we were going shopping and it was only when we parked up and started walking that familiar walk along the river that the penny dropped. My two big football wishes are to watch City in the Prem with him like he did with his Dad, and to see England win a World Cup (again like he did). I don’t know who’s closer to be honest! -

The one on Pring? He was dragged down at the corner. Perhaps him still connecting with it swayed the ref. Semenyo was pulled on one too but would have been soft -
Protecting him? He got skinned numerous times first half, though did improve.

Because either by design or fear, our midfielders just aren’t showing for the ball from feet -

I think he’s been our most consistent defender this season, if not player -

You wouldn’t stick him in the 11 if he was leaving next week (and already agreed) -

Tbf, if I’d scouted our defending I’d say it’s sound tactics ? -

For all the criticism about Andy King dealing with that one long ball, Atkinson has been less than convincing dealing with balls over the top/ in the air so far -

This is it now isn’t it? A new thread every 2-3 days until he’s gone. We’ve already got a 13 page debate going. In the aftermath of defeat Tuesday(? No idea what day it is) I voted sack but I’ve thought more since and I’m undecided. We’ve lost some games where we’ve still had fight (Norwich, Sheff Utd), the other day was the first game we looked like we didn’t even compete. A repeat of that will be a worry - show some fight and even maybe a result and I’ll stay on the fence I think -
Hands up, who is heading to Millwall then?

Was thinking about it, thought it was an afternoon kick off for some reason. May still go but going away Friday so don’t want to get back too late. Personally because I don’t get to go often the performances don’t put me off, il go anywhere any when if I can make it -
Skyes, Atkinson and Tanner all on the bench and all Pearson signings.
MarcusX replied to Red Billy's topic in Football Chat
We simply don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, there has to be more to it with Atkinson -
I think im in the sack camp now. Weve got players capabale of playing better than they are - we’ve seen it earlier in the season, Norwich away for example and her were still making mistakes and lacking any consistency. Pearson has to take responsibility for that ultimately. Ive no idea who we replace with, I said at the time of sacking LJ be careful what you wish for, I’d only back it dependent on who comes in. That’s even more important now

Fairly even game, they look a bit more dangerous than us. Looked like just a very good pass for the goal?
-
Working fine for me, if it’s working on one device and not the other it’s probably not the stream and likely a local issue. App and tv firmware up to date?
-
Well statistically I guess, how many games we’ve gone since a penalty has no bearing on how likely we are to get one today
