  1. Too many times this season I’ve been in the place city are playing but not able to attend ? I was in Lancashire at a wedding when we played away, and annoyingly I’m in Bristol today with mates but not at the game. Hoping we can keep the spells of good football going and string it into a full 90 today. Failing that, I’ll take an underserved win which is more than possible with their iffy form
  2. Click bait is bad enough on social media and everything else these days, does it really need to creep in here too?
  3. People tend to say a keeper is a "great shot stopper, but not much else" I guess Lloris is an example of a keeper that isn't even that?
  4. Why is this titled mick at Cardiff?
  5. We also live in an age where fair, balanced views don’t get the same interactions and response as shock, anger and outrage
  6. He definitely limped across the line, not saying he didn't deserve it but he didn't smash through it in the best of form. Wasn't it a number of late substitutions for his last few appearences?
  7. A few games back I'd be swung in the direction of potentially getting rid, if someone with "pedigree" was willing to come in. That said, I absolutely love the influx of youngsters into the team, especially local lads, and they are still fighting for him. There's inconsistencies and shoddy defending, but he's certainly not lost the dressing room. We also played some pretty good football against Birmingham
  8. We’re so cursed against ever having a penalty that the football gods gave us a late winner for once! What a goal that is from Bell, brilliant
  9. I had to make a quick call, had no idea the radio had paused and resumed where it stopped - unless Vyners just attempted another own goal ?? Guessing nothing much has happened since!
  10. Oh ffs I’ve cancelled plans to stay in and watch the game ?
  11. Yea I got that, but Utd beating City increased Arsenal's lead, not decreased. I get that Utd and Newcastle winning increase their points totals, but as I say, the gap to the top increased - if there was a conspiracy against Arsenal, City would have won Though I also accept OP was most likely joking about an actual conspiracy! The only thing this photo doesn't account for is the pace the ball is moving it, but I still think the defender can get a slide / block in if Rashford isn't in the way. He can;t slide through Rashford, but if he isn't there he may make it Also, keepers position is all wrong if no Rashford
  12. I'd agree, perhaps they could have said something along the lines of understanding the desire to improve the atmosphere, acknlowedge the improvement and impact it had on the team - but make clear the logistical issues and accept to review the area, accepting for now that existing ST holders must take priority. It is indeed a dick move to prevent existing ST holders from accessing their seats or obstructing their view
  13. He did goad them, and I thought the same, but alternatively why should he stand and take abuse from fans all game and not give a bit back?
  14. He dummied a shot didn't he? certainly looked like that That doesn't make sense, City losing made the gap bigger?
  15. The same day, Trent was offside for Liverpool for simply following the ball out of play to go take the throw with no one around him. He even held his hands up to signal to the linesman he wasn’t going to play the ball.
  16. It’s the same as shielding a ball out for a goal kick etc isn’t it, ball is within playable distance so the defender is “in possesion” Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the defender had fouled Rashford
  17. Even by the letter of the law it’s hard to make a case for that not being offside. He’s clearly interfering with play. If Rashford isn’t there, the defender could possibly put a slide block in, he also checks his run when Rashford feigns to shoot (which in itself is interfering with the keeper and how he sets himself) Walker could even have dragged Fernandes back if he’s the only striker, knowing he won’t get a red as there’s cover.
  18. I’m wrong, the tweet I saw was a Forest fan calling out two other Forest fans for directing abuse towards Wolves players and the ref
  19. to do so would suggest there is something wrong with being “queer” otherwise why else are you calling them that word? I was subjected to homophobic abuse on the pitch just a few weeks ago, because I’ve got pink boots and had long hair (I’m sure some on here will think that’s fair!). I’m not gay, but statistically someone on that pitch could have been, and will be scared to come out because of abuse like this. I think I saw on Twitter a post from the guy who reported it (he is gay), can’t remember exactly but think it was prolonged abuse rather than just one word.
  20. Watching With a mate who is neutral and he said that’s a foul. I’m surprised it wasn’t given really
  21. Var checks everything I believe, the ref doesn’t need to “use var”, they tell him
  22. It is because it’s not even a rumour, someone just made a guess because palace have lost a keeper. Why would Bentley, at 29 in his prime, want to sit on a bench as 3rd choice? Carson, Butland etc at least have gone to teams that win silverware. Butland hasn’t been the same since injury, shame as he was going into a World Cup probably as number one. Bentley was a future England keeper according to some on here
  23. There were at least 4 shouts Sunday, a couple subjective but a couple I thought were clear cut - the one on Atkinson? Where he was wiped out in the box, and the other was on Semenyo I think. Watching it on holiday with a Leeds supporting friend and he said the same thing
