    984 Sags there yesterday.

600 down on what they took last year. Funny how their away support suddenly drops when it’s a ground they’ve been to before isn’t it?

They’re currently averaging just over 700 for away games this year. Absolutely NO ONE envy’s their very mediocre, unremarkable away support especially as they’ve only taken over 1k away twice this season and under 500 6 times (not including the 100 or so that travelled all the way to Plymouth in the Cup).

Its nice that even after a woeful performance for us yesterday you can rely on deluded belters like these two to make you laugh.

And they have an added incentive to travel over most league clubs... Every away visit it to a better stadium. Every one.

It wasn't much and I think it's been paid off by now.

The vast bulk of the debt is to Dwane Sports, registered in Jersey for tax and secrecy reasons, but we don't know Dwane Sports' financial position.

The likeliest source of DS's money IMO is corporate loans from AQ controlled companies so that if they do need to write anything off then they will get a tax credit for it.  That wouldn't happen if it was personally-owned shareholdings or loans.

The charge on the ground is in favour of Dwane Sports so its lending money to BRFC counts as secured lending which comes at a lower rate then unsecured.

Per my previous post I think they have sufficient equity for one more season and then the lending becomes unsecured and they start losing money on top of the original purchase price ?£6m.

It is not a good position in which to be.  Potential buyers can read the finances as well as I can and any such will do the sensible thing and wait for either adminsitration or a sale at rock bottom price which are going to be a matter of time unless they suddenly change tack and start pumping lots of money in for a new stadium and a promotion push to try to sell the club for a premium as a successful Chamionship team.

That would be a very high risk strategy as they don't have the bottomless pockets of the Lansdown family who can budget for an annual £25m loss agaisnt the AQs' £3m.

So when can we really start observing the demise? Everything is just numbers for the time being. When do we see the for sale signs go up?

Were that to be the case, Rob presumably Dale Vince would contractually impose his vegan belief upon his tenants (I can't believe that he'll allow meat products to be prepared in his food outlets every other week)? Thus the 15ers will need to get used to tofu so I thought I'd  better check for them on the situation regarding product expiry dates. The good news was quickly found "I have used unopened tofu 60 days after expiration" therefore the fewers' present catering standards will need no change.

Genuine point. I wonder how Mr Vince would feel about a world where a footba club's home fans are travelling 20/30 miles to home matches. Doesn't really fit with his view of sustainably and renewables.

I'm half watching this and it's bloody garbage. In fairness, the pitch is awful. There are very few 2 pass moves let alone more. Some methane snorter just hit the post in front of their massed rank of 'faithful and true', well those that could be arsed. After watching this, I understand why they don't bother, both sides are awfully poor.

For a minute I thought you were watching a repeat of City v Birmingham.

"I am paying £20 quid each week to be pissed off, I can order a kebab for £2.99 from stapleton road if i want to be pissed off and will cost me far less."

Can you imagine what's in the kebabs? Don't even think about it.

Well, I'm guessing animal welfare didn't make up much of the cost.

... said they were frothing at the mouth in the funny looking stand next to the away terrace ?

    Probably happens every match.

You'll have to help narrow down which stand you mean. They have at least a dozen that match that description.

Yet they continue to wonder why we are light years ahead of them

As a fanbase they’ve got exactly the club they deserve (a very shit one)

    Changing indeed.

Yes, I reckon the Mem will have a change of use within 5 years. The fruit market, on the other hand, will still be a fruit market.

The footage didn’t seem to catch it , but on the final whistle there was a deep silence, really eerie looking back . Lots of genuine football fans deeply upset, and a few idiots that got all the publicity unfortunately

Football fans? At the Mem? Really?

They're at the wrong place if they like footy ?

A bit like when your 14 and you think your best mates hot Mum fancy's you then you realize she came out Gay 3 years ago.

Never assume anything is a cert, and never ever wear a Burgundy Sweatshirt to an away match as when you fall over you look an even bigger bell-end.

And they thought an ex-City player had saved them in that match!

One of them is getting the "didn't really like him, anyway" comment in early...

Being realistic, maybe last summer JCH was worth 2 or even 3 million but anyone who has watched his performances this season ain’t going to pay that. Moody, arrogant, always injured, billy big balls, looks disinterested most of time.

Can't see Wally reinvesting any profit either.

This is part of the problem the Fewers have yet to address.

People have much higher expectations of a day out than sitting in a tent these days with a Ginsters and a fake Fanta.

And given just what good value for money a rugby season ticket is, it's no surprise attendances are well up.

If only they have treated the rugby club better when they were at the Mem....

Yep. Taking the home from your landlord never goes down well.

Have a lot of Sheffield United mates from my time up in Sheffield working for HSBC, rate him very highly. So I'd disagree, but I also thought Little was too good for us and he's been awful when he has played this season.

Working? Hope you stopped claiming your giro payments in that period.

Classed as 'progress' I guess Cotswold.

Like you, I miss the days of terracing and the EE but we've moved on from them and have to go with the modern day stuff or stop altogether. The gate is, obviously a far better stadium nowadays and the facilities and money making opportunities are wonderful but I do miss the 'altogether' feeling of the Gate of yesteryear.

One thing I do know is we can't go back!

    Correct.

It's sad, but I know the day will come when I just won't go much any more.

There are other things in my life I love just about as much and they are closing fast and overtaking.

I'll be spending more time watching concerts, listening to music at home, going to my local etc. I'll still go to the odd game but a season ticket will be out of the question within a few years.

I’ve been watching since 1975 and can honestly admit the happiest times were when we had naff all so they should be ecstatic! ;)

    People want different things.

I really can't understand why people prefer the new ground over, say, the old East End.

I know what the arguments are, but I don't agree with them one bit, aside from disabled facilities.

I don't want to buy beer or burgers or anything else at a football ground. I want atmosphere, nostalgia and a sense of belonging. The new ground development subtracts from those things.
