First I couldn't get my free pasty, now I'm only getting 22 games with my season ticket. I'm starting to doubt if having a season ticket is worth the money!

Ditto with the pasty. At this moment ST holders are a game short, could be two.
The club could offer bring a friend for each game less

The state of these 2 belters above, aswell as being more desperate than a virgins bellend to have Bolton & Bury kicked out of the EFL, they are more concerned about the fact he’s losing out by missing a game! Even worse they are both pissed about not receiving a free Ginsters Pasty but that’s prob more down to the beating he’s going get from his sister when he walks in and tells her the Pasty Hut was replaced by Portaloo’s so couldn’t bring home their rations for the week.

I hope they don’t go around wanting sympathy from everyone when their time comes (because it is) after reading their views recently. I don’t think they will though as supporters from every club love da gas, everyone’s 2nd team.

Tick Tock Sags....... Those pavements are waiting.

One less matchday to raise revenue. Shame.

Just noticed these player ratings from midweek……………Crikey, they must have played Brighton off the park!  Now I can accept their first eleven playing like Worldies as usual, but check out the rating for the 'Crowd'.  We've really got no chance  ?

10 for the crowd is impressive, given most of them were at home watching Corrie.

Amazed at where Huddersfield are in that table.

To be fair to the Fewers, haven't they only just put their shirts in sale?

Just as the holiday season comes to an end and parents are spending a fortune on new school gear. I'm sure there is some logic in there somewhere.... GASLOGIC.

And the gas think they're a similarly sized club to Brighton ?

These recent photos perfectly illustrate that the facilities at that dump are out of the 60s (70s if being generous).

    Unbelievable.

Pikeys seem not to notice though (that lack of self awareness again).

They're worse than any ground I think I've ever been to. Even worse than Trumpton.

    Sad, sad day.

Don't ask me why but given his laisse faire/useless approach to governance I have a slight suspicion that Shaun Harvey would have let Bury start the season and after that who knows- may have unravelled really quickly but it's a suspicion that I can't fully shake.

12 hours ago it looked all good- the fans were there including Bolton fan helping to clean the ground- that guy in his 70s was there, the one who was turning up to the ground each day.

Dark day for English football, first such situation like this since "the modern era" began- sad times. Wise words from JL.

Just look at that, all you disgraceful parents who let your kids support Man U. YOU are partly responsible for this debacle.

Yes , £20 million - worth twice your clubs total value

    And

We know all about Prem teams , Manchester United incl Rashford, Zlatan , Pogba ....you get the drift

Maybe you saw it , it was a quarter final live on Sky

Lovely pass to Korey Smith for the winner

I reckon that pass earned us another £300k. Or was it £10m?

  7. These sags clearly don't realise how far behind us they are.

Our club of 2015 is miles behind where we are now in every single respect.

The Gas couldn't dream of being BCFC of 2015 in terms of structure, fan base etc, let alone us today.

They'd be utterly amazed if they stepped into our concourses and walked up into the stands.

Dreamworld for them. Like walking into Buck Palace and hoping you could live somewhere like that one day.

I never said anything about amazing cup run. I said we had got further than you which we did. Unlucky da shit!

Yep. We've been inconsolable all week since losing away to QPR. Even the players struggled to get over it with their 3 wins.

Brighton are the club we should be looking to emulate.

Similar sized club, similar histories, similar ground issues(They had to play in Gillingham, and The Withdean) etc, etc, etc

New Stadium built, now looking to expand it even further.

Success on the pitch, promotions and winning Football gets the crowds flocking(They are Seagulls of course).

    Quite simply unbelievable.

And quite clearly has never visited the Amex and their training/community facilities.

    I have.

The issue is, can greater Manchester sustain all the teams they have in the area?

20 years on and there is now two huge Manchester clubs that will draw support from far and wide. Personally I don't think all these greater Manchester clubs will be able to continue in their current form.

Wigan, Reading, Cardiff and Swansea all rose up the football pyramid because of investment. Unfortunately the Burys and Rochdale's of this world are not that attractive of an investment as those clubs were, due to living in the shadow of the huge Manchester clubs.

So long as the crowds are big enough then yes.

Bolton is also under significant pressure from the change in their demographic too. Lets just say the local population is less likely to attend football than would have done 30/40 years ago.

Nothing wrong with that, just the way it is.

I thought that too, though I did hear it said that in those 14 days they can’t be taken over, and it would be near impossible for them to currently offer proof that they could continue.

At this stage it is all proper confusing though, so not really sure of what will take place. If two league one sides fold will play havoc with the league tbh.

Maybe that would force the current owner's hand? I wonder if he has the cash but just doesn't want to inject anything.

Who knows what he stands to lose/gain depending on the scenario.

Chatting with a gashead this morning and he said that Taylor got dogs abuse  at the tented village  on Saturday and was booked early in the game as he was running around as If he’d ‘lost his head’ and would been looking at a red card  he not got ‘injured’ and substituted.

Might have been better all round had he been brought on later in the game, letting Oxford go about their business building a strong lead.

An impact substitution on 70 minutes against tired legs when 2-0 would have been ideal.

Unfortunately it seems the 'occasion' rather overtook the Oxford team.

Going back to the comments about salary caps (and apologies of it has already been mentioned).

During their last season or so in the Championship, Bolton were under a salary cap as part of their embargo.

Good point, but it was kind of "after the horse has bolted".

As a keen photographer I'm impressed with the sharpness of that photo taken from around.... 1968... at a guess.

Not always easy to date a photograph so you have to take as many visual cues as possible.

Im not a proper football fan because I out the suggestion forward? Hmmm ok then.

Louis Carey often put forward the idea of us and Rovers merging, guess he's not a proper club legend either then?

What I am saying is we are on the brink of losing two historic football clubs, if a merger was the only way to save them, then surely that should be explored? Businesses merge all the time so what's the difference?

Merging two football clubs is not saving them both.

Its creating an entirely new one.

Correct. Gartside wasn't daft when he suggested that the PL should be a closed shop. He knew that they were in a financial mess and that if they fell out of the PL something like this could be the end result.

Daft enough to jump on the slippery slope of debt though.
