I previously mentioned that the best approach would be for us to get a manager in who has won promotion from this division (by hook or crook) and somehow drag us into the Premier league.
NP has done this, and he needs to be backed, both where financially possible and verbally.
Exactly this.
But what will happen is, SL will part ways with NP, saying the club needs to go in a new direction etc etc, when actually Nige has done an incredible job with pretty much one arm tied behind his back given FFP and the mess the club was in when he took over.
And instead, SL will back someone else, who isn't proven and has never been promoted from the championship. Groundhog day. Starting to get tedious, especially when you can see the cycle. We've got the manager, facilities, youth etc, now is the time to back our manager. He should be given new contract and backed IMO.

Good idea.
Not quite sure why your comments are so barbed towards the poster, they've put up some lush designs tbh, a million times better than the rubbish we've got currently as our kit IMO.

It's a fair question asked very politely. I don't know the answer and the following is my own view and doesn't necessarily reflect that of the SC&T.
I'd say three things.
Firstly, of course OTIB is monitored by members of the SC&T. It isn't an official conduit for information and opinion to flow from fans to the SC&T, but it's definitely an unofficial one.
Secondly, it's fine to have those official and unofficial methods of communication and OTIB being unofficial doesn't mean that something posted here won't be picked up, it should simply mean that the views out forward my official means take priority and if time and resources are tight, they get dealt with first.
Finally, I personally think that making people put a little tiny bit of effort into making their point automatically filters out the louder, more knee jerk, less considered, or more troublesome contributions. Honestly were I in control I'd probably have an email address, a written address, and the standing invitation to attend meetings as the three official means of communication. I'd sack off all social media as an official method of contact and make people put some leg work in.
Again, very much not the official line, but my view. I'm happy with OTIB being an unofficial sounding board.
Thanks for your reply, and I do get the whole leg work thing, along with knee jerk reactions, I mean, just gotta see the match day thread sometimes for that!
However football isn't like any other industry or business. It's built purely on emotion. If football didn't grab you or I at that young age, we wouldn't have stood watching our beloved team in the pouring down rain on a wet, cold Tuesday night in (insert UK location here), travelling hundreds of miles to watch a bunch of millionaires run around for 90 mins.
We do it because we love our club. And whilst some of the reactions on social media, the forum etc are heat of the moment instances, I think the real, genuine issues, aren't. And by limiting the channels, the sources of info, if it was done by letter or email only, you'd be cutting your nose off to spite your face IMO.
I appreciate Phantom's response, but whenever I see feedback on here, it's always constructive, and I'd say pretty invaluable. The frustrations come from the heart, for the love of the club, and knowing that it feels like at times, the club doesn't care, or listen for that matter.
Just reading that the club & the hierarchy were surprised to hear the fallout regarding the kits (wait to they hear what we think of the club shop and stock!) is painful, as all it takes is someone from the club, like an SLO, to read some of the key threads, and feed that back. Maybe I'm being far too naive here, but that can't be too hard to do, surely? And yes, I've read about being stretched too thin etc etc, but the whole point of SLO and the trust is to be a vocal point, a medium, between the paying fans and the club.
Other companies pay thousands just to try and gain some feedback from their customers. Here you've got it in abundance, for FREE! Yet decide to not do much with it, which is frustrating at the best of times.

Although people from the SC&T are on OTIB, it's not an "official" method of communication with them. If you want to compile a list of issues then I'd say your best bet would be to use the official contact methods:
Contact
You can contact the Supporters Club & Trust via any of the following means:
E-mail us at info@bristolcitysupporters.org
Write to us at:
B C S C T
PO BOX 3296
Bristol BS3 9HD
You can also interact with us via social media:
Twitter: @BristolCitySCT
Facebook: Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust
And, as ever, meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, by Zoom, @shahanshahan posts notice of them on here and all are welcome. You don't need to be a member to join that call.
Genuinely don't get why the supporters club & trust official channel ISN'T the main source of fans interaction and opinion, which is this forum.
It's open to everyone, can see people's comments and replies, so it's much easier to see what's happening, what's been raised and what's been resolved & rectified.
You also know you'll get reasoned responses on here, unlike the cess pit that is twitter etc.

I guess the problem was that if sent off, he'd then miss league games?
But if its a red card, it's a red card, otherwise what's the point in having a referee?

How long before a Saudi team are allowed into the Champions League?
Remember Eurovision? Australia!
Hopefully never. But as it's UEFA, probably a question of how much are they willing to pay to get into the champs league.
Won't be long until world Cup hosted there, as FIFA has clearly turned a corner and is now no way corrupt, giving to the highest bidder..

PSG may well have accepted the bid, but Mbappé is no fool, nor is his (devious, unscrupulous) mother, who is also his agent.
Whilst a reported annual salary of €7,000,000 is not to be sniffed at , he is, of course, already remunerated handsomely, and, with his annual salary and bonus, numerous ancillary bonuses and image rights, there would not be a dramatic difference in ‘take home’ pa, although his Saudi salary would, of course, be tax free.
Finance and, perhaps, religion aside, I really can’t see any reason why, at this stage of his career, he might be tempted.
£700 million for 1 year, and the club will then let him go to Madrid if he wishes.
There's 700 million reasons why he'd go to Saudi, especially as he seems such a greedy and money driven player. He could play 1 season and be one of, if not, the richest football in the world and retire if he wanted.
Crazy money.

Absolutely disgraceful. Perfect for him. 1 year in Saudi, then gets to more to Madrid. PSG get more money than they thought they'd get. Good for all of those involved.
Horrendous for the rest of the football world though, as it's setting an expectation which is just insane. FFP becomes pointless it seems if teams funded by the government outside of Uefa jurisdictions can just throw absurd amounts of money around.
I hate how much players get in this country, but it's now made it look like peanuts in comparison!

Really disappointing way to lose the Ashes, default win because of the weather essentially. Don't think I've ever wanted the forecast to be more wrong than I do today. Whilst absolutely biased, I do think there should be 1 reserve day, because had we of won, would've made for an incredible finale with teh score being 2-2

As I understand it, a large number died when they tried to exit the stand at the rear where the turnstiles/gates were locked. Such was the speed of the spread, there was no chance for them to take an alternate route (ie towards the pitch) once that decision was made
Thanks mate, that's absolutely horrendous. Can only imagine the panic and fear those poor souls would've encountered. Horrible way to go.
-
Absolutely tragic. Thoughts go out to all those affected.
One question though, forgive my naiveness, but how did so many die? When you watch the video, it looks like the whole stand gets cleared out? Or would it possibly have a concourse like the Dolman and this is possibly where people may have been trapped?

Hope Usyk smashes him all over Wembley.
Same. Tysons antics are nothing short of disgraceful, couldn't care less about his nationality, he's a joke, and I'll certainly be cheering on Usyk.
Hope he loses and then begs for a rematch, and gets told to do one.

That last comment is surely a wind up? He goes well above and beyond to do the right thing for the fans
Can't say I've seen much interaction from our SLO on here, so I wouldn't say it was a wind up.
This place is perfect to interact with the customers... The fans. Get them onside, address issues, improve the club which can in turn improve the performances, attendances, revenue...
Many businesses have surveys for their customers after you've had an interaction with their staff, on ways to improve, what worked, what didn't etc. We've had an SLO just in name for last few years, when issues have occurred, from my experience, they've gone missing during the majority of the time.
Just my own observations of course.

Imagine paying £20 for this (obviously I haven't!). Even a belt was made for this... Yet I heard Paul getting £7m for this fight?!

Wish we were watching his brother fighting instead tbh.
Any reason why Paul getting so many boos? As didn't seem to be many English in the crowd.

Seeing some very good comments from Sunderland fans on FB saying how good we were yesterday and how good our support was
Lovely to read. Also goes to show how much the noise can travel in a stadium, drove up yesterday, really enjoyed the game, thought we were excellent first half, Mehmeti looked incredible, defenders couldn't handle him and were petrified of him running at them. The move in the first half where he hit the post was simply breath taking.
2nd half they dominated for large portions, we couldn't find out rhythm, lucky we didn't concede a 2nd.
As for our fans/noise, genuinely didn't think we were loud at all! Large portions of the game I thought we were quiet, glad it didn't come across that way to their fans!
Excellent point on the road.

If you'd told me circa 2010 that in around 10 years time we'd be selling our best young players to Bournemouth for fees of £14m and £9m respectively, I'd have assumed you were a crackhead.
Quite sad isn't it when you compare the likes of us to them, Brighton, Brentford etc

Strange timing for this interview. He's thrown his toys out of the pram, but managed to get back into the team, so not sure why he'd now rock the boat YET AGAIN.
Proof it's all about him. He's been an incredible football player, but like everything, all good things come to an end. He obviously can't accept that he isn't 21 anymore and his playing career coming to an end. He's paid an obscene amount of money, I get he's a winner and still wants to play, but should be focusing on helping the younger players, as no doubt they ALL look up to him.
Can't see him playing for Utd ever again after this. How can he?!
