Peterborough United away match day thread

We lost midweek people. Get over it. I can't believe the amount of negativity on here today and it's still twenty minutes before kick-off!! -

Spot on Dave, as usual. We all understand the limitations of the current squad (yes, there are plenty). But it is what it is, and we'll be stuck with what we we've got for a good while yet. How about getting behind the players and trying to encourage them to give the best that they've got?. -

It's a town in Somerset, with a bloody great cathedral. You're welcome.

Some very sub standard individual performances tonight. We all know who Nige will need to try to move on, but for now, we're stuck with them. -

Form indicates this should be a draw. So I'm going for a narrow away win. COYR!! -
Get well soon Nige!!

If we keep drawing at home and winning away, that's promotion form and way ahead of schedule!! ?

Cue the frenzy in local media as Joey"s boys kickstart their promotion season in fine style.

This squad leave EVERYTHING on the pitch
Red_Alligator replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
That was a good point gained against a much better side. It was secured through hard work and determination. Considering the mess that the club has made of development on the pitch over recent years - I type this as I'm watching Brentford v Liverpool with great admiration and envy of the former - it's a fabulous point won today. Let's hope the footballing people at our club are backed and left alone to continue the progress. -

Thanks JB, good job. I'll take a point now, thanks. This could be a hiding for us today -BUT, you never know. It COULD be the day we break the home win curse. Stranger things have happened..... COYR!! -
"It's a funny old game" as someone once said.... A shoe-in of an away win for the old pools coupon, given form to date. BUT exactly the sort of game to end in a 1-0. Hope so anyway! COYR!!

why is our BBC calling big john A-tao
Red_Alligator replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
Bullseye harrys - well said. People continually pump hundreds of pounds a month into their SKY/Virgin TV packages, never pausing to consider the value for money that they're getting for those services - which include hours and hours of adverts and promotions of the services that they've already bought into!. There's good political reason for going after the BBC, and that reason is entirely about the quality of it's output, which over the years has been a thorn in the side of many a politician or public figure - as well of course as being the source of great quality programming in drama, comedy and film. The "bias"of the BBC has long been a target of the right, in particular - although not exclusively. It's an easy target - just ask political thinkers like Alex Bellfield and Jim Davidson, both of whom regularly complain about the BBC's inadequacies - and enjoy some populist support in doing so. Please let's put an end to the promotion of "dumbing down" and instead celebrate the virtues of debate and thoughtful insight. -
I must have said it before I'm sure, but I see no reason why anyone with a discerning interest in current affairs would want to go anywhere near the appalling rag that is the EP. As for Holloway - well it says a lot about him (and them!) that he's a hero up the road.

Just my view. Club colours are red and white, with black. Any of those, in any design or combination is fine with me. Outside of that, I've never been keen. As a middle-aged gator, carrying some additional timber if truth be told, I guess I'm not in the target group for the shirt manufacturers anyway.
-
Not these days KW I'll grant you. Doesn't change the principal of the thing though.
-
Please no. Neither are club colours.
