  1. Leon Clarke In other news Messi was shopping at Sainsburys in Ashton.
  2. The thing is, despite there probably being a huge issue they're trying to hide, Wally speaks so much bullshit it wouldn't surprise me if those figures are completely wrong. If it is correct, then you're right the football league should come down on them hard. There's just no point in fining them as they won't be able to afford it on those figures.....
  3. Probably blown their budget on Little, no way they'd be able to afford Fielding as well!! Can see him signing for one of the promoted clubs.
  4. I believe so, if it wasn't for him they would have been up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
  5. I'll just leave this here. Great headline...
  6. Probably can't afford to keep him.
  7. So in other words, we (Gas) never want to be as successful as they are, because at least then we (Gas) can't ever finish as runners up to them (us). Special is the word that comes to mind.
  8. Wow. So not only do they have Ashton Gate in their opening sequence, but the farther into the video you get, the rougher the parts of Bristol look, ultimately ending with them stepping out onto the Vegetable Patch Tented Arena Sponsored by Go Outdoors. They really are the gift that keeps on giving!!!
  9. If only they were that generous when it came to raising funds to improve their ground, they may have a better quality of tent! Poor bloke isn't going to know what's hit him (probably a tent pole).
  10. If I wasn't there to have seen it in person, I'd say it was some computer trickery trying to make him look bad. Just remember the whole ground erupting in laughter. He has to be one of our worst signings of all time surely? Even Tony Dinning had a few better games for us (albeit on the loan spell...)
  11. Even Bas Savage got one goal in 23 appearances for us. Fancy being mentioned in the same context as Bas Savage.....
  12. Ah correct you are, on both accounts. My mistake. Thinking about it, it also looks too well stocked (and too big) to be their club shop. I've obviously had a mare
  13. New club shop? Also.....is that their new TV?

    Emiliano Sala

So he's mourned, respects are paid and essentially made "one of their own". Oh by the way he wasn't registered properly, so essentially wasn't our player, therefore we aren't paying anything to you. ******* scum. Yeah ban me if you want, I mean it, it's absolutely disgusting. If you're not going to pay Nantes, then pay his wages to his family, for the duration of the contract that he had signed. Hippocrates.
  15. That is just absolute 100% pure gold. You really couldn't make it up could you ? They'll be disappointed when they get there next season - "it looked bigger than this in the picture, and I'm sure that there was a bridge overlooking the ground somewhere."
  16. @Banjo Island It pays to check the post before you press submit, especially in cases like this ?
  17. I don't think it will. Attendances haven't improved since the change in format, if anything they've dropped off. Introducing more u23 teams would kill it off completely. I think the best thing that sponsors could do, is scrap the u23s, and go back to the original format (League 1/2). That may increase attendance figures slightly. It's a great competiton in the respect that it gives the lower league clubs a chance to win something, and get a day out at Wembley. You won't see the benefits (financially) until the latter stages of the competiton though. What they do need to do though I feel, is ask supporters of the lower league clubs how they feel that attendances can be improved. Something they obviously didn't do the first time around!!
  18. Out of interest why? Both are lower league clubs which is what the competition was originally meant for. It's not like it's one of the u23 sides in the final, which, if it was, I would agree would be a kick in the balls. Yes it probably is the sponsors dream final, but let's be fair, the numbers were always going to be high for the actual final no matter which two teams were going to be competing in it. Even the last time we were in it (won it along with the League 1 Championship btw), the attendance figures weren't great for us until the latter stages. The competition has been devalued since the u23s have been put into it (wrongly may I add - I wrote a lengthy post about it when it was first announced), but a day out at Wembley is always going to sell well, regardless of who is in it. A well attended final is a good thing for that competiton - something it wouldn't be if it was an u23 side, as people wouldn't be arsed with it.
  19. That's quite clearly not the Sags ground is it - no tents and far too many seats!! At least try to make it believable
  20. Was that it!!? With or without the Sunderland fans? Either way that is tinpot...
