I struggle to understand it. Are there really season ticket holders (even if on children's tickets) who are attending 10 games of 23 in a season?
It depends on what you place value on. As it is, kids tickets are essentially worthless.
Little Jonny doesn’t fancy? No problem, extra leg room for £1.

This isn’t the first time a non-terrestrial provider has had the rights mind, Sky used to and aired a fair few of our games against the likes of Bradford Park Avenue (and I want to say Harrogate?) during that period.
FA cup will die for me the moment they ditch replays. I think that’s probably the only thing making it “special” that remains.

They’ve had an absolute shocker here.

Photos from their matches suggest a lack of youth attending already.
I guess many will give up the ST and buy occasional match tickets instead.
I am not a commercial person but surely they need a 'loss leader' to hook people in, then they become ST holders in later life?
Good news for City I would think.
They’ve (the club) been concerned about their aging demographic for years.

not sure if anyone fancies starting a petition to make the badge on this kit the new permanent badge, but i’d sign it if they did.
I could be wrong, but I think one of the drivers for changing back to the Robin was to avoid BCC charging for use of the crest.

That was great. Keep that up and you’d really fancy City making the play offs, with nothing to fear

This is outrageous. The dynamic with these public bodies is round the wrong way.

Anyone know why it’s an 8pm kick off? Makes the 21:37 from Parson street unviable. Annoying

Was that when Thorpe got sent off for them ?
I think there was a pathetic crowd of 7k odd, yes gash I did say pathetic !
You could well be right on the red, and yes that was likely the crowd - 12k was seen as a good one back then

City 5 Luton 2. Goodridge and Goater were unplayable that night (this is more a personal fav)
The pre Christmas derby - that was unbelievable

Gotta be honest - ive turned games of Rugby off because of the rules / officiating. It's ruining the game
I’ve found myself doing the same. The Bears “stamp” the other day being a great example.

Disgusting. You could see the sodding ball on the ground.

I've got it in my head that we had a penalty shoot out at the Gate at some point in the late 90's or very early 00's. I seem to remember the opposition manager moaning like **** that the ref chose to have the penaltys taken shooting towards the Atyeo and that it wasn't fair.
I remember one against Colchester in the League cup, but that was when the Atyeo opened.

As much as I would like to see us compete in the Prem, I often wonder if you are a mid table side what you actually look forward to?
You will never challenge for the title, you will never get near European football and you will never go down - it seems such a boring future
Mid table prem? European football is very much on the radar.
What it would mean, is that when we do have the likes of Alex Scott, we can keep them for longer. We could probably afford to sustain a cat 1 academy as well.

They must be the only club in the country to have 'potential support"
Funny thing, there’s a kernel of truth in there - the amount of houses going up in South Glos and expansion is large and will only continue.
Problem for them though, the days of a north/south split are dead. And with no real way of tapping into that growing population they continue with an aging demographic with an inferior “product” to attract families.

Just over 7k at the Pisspoorial isn’t going to cover the repayments on the pay day loan used to build the new monument to pillars and corrugated iron.
Shit fan base, full of weirdos.

Do we have some Rivarly with Plymouth ? We didn't face them too much lately but if I reckon it is a kind of a derby when we play then, right ?
It’s a one sided rivalry - They see it, or at least did, as a rivalry.

Expectation - in the near term, for the club to continue to meander through the Championship. Success is based on producing players for selling on to mediocre tier prem clubs.
Hope - The club is sold.

Was this the season some young guy scored a load of goals away at Exeter in a friendly (Gillespie?) everyone got very excited and…he never really made it?

Not sure on this. It’s nice to have a different angle to choose from I guess.

To all those that say no way will we go down. Just a reminder. On 9th February 2020 Hull City sat in 14th place on 40 points. At the end of the season that sat in 24th place on 45 points.
While nothing is guaranteed, I think relegation is extremely unlikely. Not exactly a glowing endorsement of the manager that we’ve even started having this conversation though.

Strange, I found him an insufferable ***** 15 years ago, and it seems he still is.
