I’m struggling to remember a negative reaction to a passage of play like that in all the years I’ve been watching.

Highlight so far is almost certainly the half time burger.

Ultimately to try to protect the Lower Leagues and grassroots.
A free for all..how many would then just watch Liverpool, Man United or whoever is popular and attendances below the PL fall further.
Modern trends that really irritates "But who is your PL side, or your favoured PL side" (in addition to main side).
The cynic in my thinks the 3pm block will disappear if non-league crowds continue to grow.

I like him, but he does seem abit of a marmite player for some reason.

I’m going to show my age here, but does anyone remember in the 90s the club put four or five options for kits out in the Evening Post, and one of them was red and white halves on the shirt?
Yes. I think they did this more than once.

I want the splat Robin on the home shirt.
Just for the meltdown on here, no other reason.I’ll take your splat robin on the home shirt, and raise you a splat robin on a blue away shirt.

No, I was referring to the OP.
Was he quoting Leroy? Because I’d never diss Sir Leroy. Had one of the loveliest chats with Sir Leroy in that West Ham cup game, in 14/15. Lovely bloke.
I would. His comments on safe standing were thick as mince and I haven’t been able to take the guy seriously since.

Wouldn’t be Twitter. Targeted ads on there are pretty much non existent (all of mine are of Jeremy Clarkson and Zoe Ball telling me to invest in BitCoin). Targeted ads on Facebook though are another matter - I’m getting loads of City ones on there every time I log in (noting Facebook is pretty much wall to wall ads at the best of times)
It’s even popping up on my reels, which annoys me as I’m trying to watch funny dog videos

If you tell a lie enough, you start to believe it.

This has been a great watch. For all the fuss (rightfully I guess) he’s been absolutely eclipsed by Foden tonight.

So they want to build a 60k stadium alongside world class multi sport campus.,
Good luck to them, but this plan doesn’t seem grounded in reality to me. Is the football club the vehicle needed to develop the real estate?

Or, drive to Long Ashton and park up outside The Angel. Get phone out, start searching on RightMove for a new property. Buy house in LA. Forget this nightmare ever happened.
That would make my commute go through the duel hell of Bristol and Bath in rush hour

One thing I have noticed, is that there’s an awful lot more wildlife North of Yate than what I saw around Pucklechurch and Shortwood. A barn owl being a particular highlight recently.
Anyways, to keep this on topic -
Train is a none- starter tomorrow as the trains back are woeful. So it looks like a drive all the way to Bris for the P&R. Or would it make more sense to drive to Portway? Could be worse, in at least they’re viable on Saturdays.

Not knocking Yate in general, but I think it has the most unattractive and soulless (I know) Wetherspoons I have ever been in.
I’ve not been in…but more soulless than the Knights Templar??? I may have to check it out

Walton & Hersham sack Manager ...
Club say;
Ex Manager says ;
The table says ;
His brief was apparently to try and get to the SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION SOUTH in 5 years , he did it in 3 and they sit 5 points from the Playoffs .
Their results this year, while not outstanding are something like 6-5-6 ( 23 points from 17 games ) , not to shabby for a team after 3 consecutive promotions . I read he has seen a 700% increase in attendances in his time at the club.
It's a funny old game .
This was an interesting post, the Club run by a consortium of 24 year olds ? Thinking back to me at 24, they probably sacked him for waking them early and interrupting their hangovers .
I’m guessing someone in the hierarchy has a mate lined up for the post.

And Westerleigh Road is now a nightmare !
As long as it stays that way, because the alternative routes are nice and light in comparison*
*Apart from Henfield lane in rush hour.

I do frequent Boswell’s sometimes for lunch. But I only do takeaway. I don’t like to sit inside with the other mutants.
I have taken KITR to the Vintage Birdcage in Charfield, which he enjoyed. But he did seem very twitchy and out of his comfort zone. You see, as he’s a resident of Long Ashton, he seemed like he was half expecting someone in the cafe to be shouting obscenities, drinking cider so cloudy you couldn’t see the brewers foreskin in there, and for a disturbance to occur between a group of teen moms. So the next time he visited he preferred to stay in my house for a cuppa instead.
Take him to CS High Street on a bank holiday.

At the risk of sounding like NTTDS, I would have thought a train was a good option from Yate, far quicker than the bus.
Anywhere on that line really, including Parkway ect. When the train to/from Parson street align with departure from Temple Meads, it’s much easier, and with a rail card cheaper than that P&R

Playing devil's advocate, for some on here it will be whatever we don't have.
Good performance then it's the result that's important.
Good result then it's the performance that's most important.
That's assuming, of course, that we don't have both together!
That argument works for both camps I would suggest.
For me, I’d take results over performance everyday of the week - however there’s come caveats with that
1) Not the odd win every so often, but over a long spell
2) success breeds confidence, and I think this produces better performances over time.

Agreed, but it’s certainly been an enjoyable watch. Not even sure why I put it on, but glad I did.
