    They wont sack Manning.

    DEFINITELY wont sack Tinnion.

Jonny Crayon its his dads club.

A few thousand season cards not being renewed will get the message to the arrogant *****.

Whether they heed that message is debateable, but a L1 BCFC is worth less than a Champ one so think about that "Sir Steve".

The only way Manning will be sacked this season is “empty seats” , it really is that simple.

Interesting that they’re buying for next season and essentially writing this season off.

Interesting that “writing off the season” halfway through the season seems to be the norm these days but we are all expected to still by season tickets 🥴

It’s time to come clean. I’m the striker. I’m going to be loaned back to my armchair until 2026. Manning expects me to need a preseason until approximately 2037 to get anywhere approaching match fitness, and even then it is touch and go as I’ll be 55 by then.

Well we are a top 6 side so can afford to loan back I guess

  4. I guess it all depends on whether the fan died at the match or how long the game was held up for.  Ive read that the match was stopped for approx 30 mins which seems long enough to postpone the game.  Sadly though with all the excess deaths related to heart and circulatory problems it’s becoming a lot more common.

I think that’s nonsense, and I don’t know why people keep saying it.

I’ve defended LM a lot when he’s come in for some unfair criticism but I honestly think the results/points return would be roughly the same.

And for me, that’s a positive because it shows the players have reacted the right way to LM coming in.

Results have certainly picked up, we drew a lot of games under NP.  I guess we should judge the league position under LM at the end of the season.

Like it or not, this team appears to be playing for him. Whether it's something that the previous management have instilled in the team remains to be seen but it's a good habit. Coyr!

I doubt we would have won that game under previous management.  It’s a new energy we are now seeing, also Mehmeti  wouldn’t have been in the team to score that equaliser.

I always said Manning would be judged on results first, performance second, everything else third.

Today wasn’t pretty but they fought to the end, defending to the death against a talented Sunderland team and took the three points.

Having a few ciders to celebrate!

Controversial post but couldn’t have seen us winning that game under NP, onwards and upwards now I would hope after that win.

Christian Eriksen is still playing and what happened to him was a lot worse than Tom Lockyer in the play off final

Very true, but it’s a massive risk for both of them.  Better they find a career that doesn’t stress the heart.

I suppose it depended on his medical diagnosis. I guess he'd now be advised not to play (if he wasn't already). And presumably he will take the very serious second hint.

He had a cardiac arrest in the playoff final, what more do you need as a medical diagnosis.

That first meeting in person they all looked so disengaged and demotivated. Experienced pro’s likely thinking….who is this guy?

Thought the same, disengaged.  But that is expected seeing that NP seemed very settled with a very likeable personality and he looked after his players.   Need to get off to a good start Saturday.

Following his appointment I read a post asking whether he'd actually played professionally ( in response to his 20 or so years coaching).

When I was in financial services it was often said that the best salespeople invariably don't make the best sales managers. Different qualities and skills are required for each roll.

Many top players are expected to succeed in management or coaching because of their experience of being coached/managed by top coaches and managers. Despite this, many fail.

I'd like to think that Manning's coaching experience and knowledge, despite his age, is of greater value in his roll than would be having played at the top of the game.

It all depends on whether he will get the respect from the senior players.  I would hope he will but I can imagine some players don't want to be told how to play by someone that didn't play.

Manning binned off Oxford quickly just after buying a new house, sounds like the ambitious type who will push for bigger things not a yes man.

Running before he can walk, if he’s successful he’s off, if he’s not we all continue to suffer.

I suppose beyond the coaching team the next question is who he may look to bring in player-wise.  The January window is not far away and I wonder if he believes there is anyone in the current Oxford squad that will improve us.  Their goalie (Beadle) is currently on loan from Brighton and has been in the U20 England squad.
