Exactly. By the first week in March I thought we would be nice mid table safe now, thinking about playing out our remaining matches with thoughts towards the next season. I thought we would be thinking about what players will come and go, what areas need strengthening etc. Instead I'm pretty bloody miserable at the thought that we are fighting relegation with many players leaving us, not because we don't want them but that they will jump ship and stay in the Championship whilst we might have to totally rebuild again. Now that's depressing. So I guess I'm going to go and watch players like Cotterill whilst I can, yes I know he isn't ours but it will be a long time until we see talent like him again if we are relegated.

Thank you very much, we need all the best wishes we can get. I've been lucky ( if that's the right word) enough to go and watch Bristol again this season, only missed one home league game and yes that was last weekend as I was in Newcastle. Delighted to be able to follow the match via text, we could both do with a few games like this, sounded really exciting and a vital win. Looking forward to the next game, I'll be there, but football will always be my first love. Until then I'll be watching them on tv tomorrow, best of luck to both teams for the rest of the season.

The place was full of nutters, he didn't stand out! Strangely enough most of the Scots upped and went before the final whistle!

Sounds like I missed a great game, delighted for them. I'm currently sat in a wetherspoons in Edinburgh wearing my City hoodie watching the England Italy game with all the locals cheering on Italy...I might not get out alive!

Can't write much as I'm on the Metro, just wanted to say what a mstch! we've had so many Newcastle fans coming up to us and saying how impressed they were with us and how they can't understand our position, all so positive.

Waking up to a grey day in Newcastle today. I'm looking forward to being joined by more travelling fans, I'm sure we will do ourselves proud and make some noise, whether the team can be arsed to respond is another thing. I was last here at least 25 years ago, it's changed a bit from open terracing. I travelled all that way for a goalless draw back then, somehow I don't think that will be the case today. I hope we can score at least once before we do our usual callapse. Actually it's just started raining again after a rainy evening. wrap up warm too people, it's colder up 'ere!

I'm pretty gutted I won't be at the Bristol v Bath match, opted to have a long weekend in Newcastle, but it was the one match pre-season I was looking forward to. I saw Bristol a Bath a couple of weeks ago in the cup game, but it's not quite the same. Give them a cheer from me!
