  1. Yes but before the season started I wouldn't have had Barnsley to beat Wolves. I'm hoping LJ does have the players in tomorrow, only to clear the air and really find out what went so wrong. These things can't be left or they will fester. It seemed pretty even and then suddenly we were 2 up. Were we then too confident, sloppy? Tomlin must have hit the pen well as it bounced off the post with power and went half way up the pitch, can't understand the hate he is getting. O'Donnell too was so safe last season, I can't believe people are calling for Frankie who lacks match practice and previously hasn't shone in the Championship anymore then O'Donnell has. O'Neil should have known better, but he is saying he got the ball. I wasn't there. Let's hear from those who were.
  2. Wolves have just tweeted that their player's day off is cancelled tomorrow after their result against Barnsley (lost 4-0). Let's hope we have similar plans
  3. Our two most experienced players got us into trouble. Let's see how their experience can help turn this around.
  4. I stand corrected. Saw somewhere Waggy was playing for possibly the first time this season and I misunderstood.
  5. Waggy was injured all season but started on Saturday
  6. Which I have split and merged with this.
  7. Having only watched rugby for a season, all home games bar one, I'm certainly not an expert. My thoughts are the game is much quicker and somehow has less stoppages. The Premiership players are stronger physically and think quicker. Bristol are naturally adjusting. The Ref it seemed today made some odd decisions for both sides but heavily favouring the longstanding Premiership team. Yes we were pounded before HT, aided by the Ref ( at times it felt like football as the normally tolerant crowd turned on the Ref). After HT we had a bit more fight in us and began to get a grip on the game which was already out of our reach. We forced them into the same mistakes which had littered our game. Fair crowd considering it was double last season's attendances I would think, but Northamption were well represented by their fans (still find it odd they are scattered amongst us, don't really like this) The end blocks of each stand were quite sparce but middles full enough. Looks like the normally quite busy South Stand people have moved over to the Lansdown though, but hard to tell as I was in S18 right alongside the Lansdown today. As for the speakers, I had honestly thought they had fixed them as it was pretty good ethereal I was. Clear and right volume. When I go back to my football home (Dolman) I guess I'm in for disappointment then.
  8. Think it was for the Car Boot Sale which was recently cancelled. Regarding their tickets I go to watch City with someone who is married to a Gashead. She told me not only did he leave the house at 7am to go and queue for the Chelsea ticket, he had to produce a VOUCHER from his season ticket BOOKLET!!! How very quaint! We did laugh.
  9. My observations on Wally whatever his name is: I've seen yet another photo of him posing with a famous footballer, he seems to be using his 'status' as a football club owner to smooze his way to meeting these people for his own self benefit. He 'owns' BRFC but doesn't seem to really want to play with his new toy.
  10. WARNING!!! I'm just watching the local news and in their. 'Coming up shortly' piece they showed a load of dirty Gasheads singing about their tart Irene. I've just had my tea, I feel sick. Hope this helps anyone else sat infront of their tv. Avoid Points West, switch it off now!!!
  11. You might read it better than me, I actually thought they were number 6's in the stand. I can see two, is there a third?
  12. Thanks for the warning, the photo is enough for me, couldn't stomach the horrors of the video.
  13. I'm just checking back into this thread, it's been a while and you may have to help me with this....they are actually installing THAT???!!!! Holy shit we demolished better than that.
  14. Damn you @glynriley, how do you clean yoghurt off an iPad?
  15. Ah, so proper Pirates of the past had great Oceans and Seas...and your lot had a pond!
  16. Quite a few BS employees have gone to watch too, so if anyone is there watch what you say about the club
  17. They've got promotion, I didn't want them too but I'll get over it and let them get on with it. Actually it will be interesting to see how they get on playing teams in the division that we couldn't wait to get out of. I find it hard to decide how big the actual gap is, not the league position but more the gulf in ability etc, when we haven't ever played most of the teams they have had to play in recent years. It will be a better gauge to see them playing more familiar names next season.
  18. Let them climb, the further you climb the bigger the drop (and yes Gasheads we are speaking from experience). From experience too we can also say building a new stadium is never straightforward, even if you have the money. And I'll add to that the fact that building a team, when other clubs know your owner has money, isn't either. Hes's only been there 5 minutes, and pretty much only experienced the good times. Let's see what happens when the going gets tough, and it will, promotion or not.
  19. They absolutely battered us overall. We should be delighted with a point in the end, Brentford should have had all three. We offered little goal threat and defended pretty much all game. O'donne kept us in it, my motm. On train to Waterloo now, heading into London for a couple of hours
  20. Not a great game. O'Donnel been the busier keeper, ref giving us nothing. Goal was down the other end, looked pretty good
  21. Sun coming out here in Brentford now after having rain, sleet and snow on the way up. Fair few City fans already here. Off to look around the ground in a bit.
  22. That settles it then, if they can't out pasty us then I wouldn't swop a thing. The Gasheads were all joyous a few weeks ago, but as I said at the time if it seems too good to be true then it probably is and they should be careful what they wish for. Let's just sit back and see what happens now.
  23. No I'm not scared of them, but more to the point I wouldn't swop a single thing about our club for anything they have. The ONLY thing I can seriously come up with that might be slightly better is their pasties if they still have them. I wouldn't want their players, manager, chairman, ground, prices, kit, in fact apart from the pasties absolutely nothing.
  24. Unbelievable come back. Bobby Reid and especially the new player, sorry so excited and emotional I can't even begin to spell his name, made all the difference. Fantastic scenes here
