  1. Joined Bath City on loan for the rest of the season. That’s some fall from grace, regular in the squad under Pearson, frequently used as a sub, on loan in National League South a matter of weeks later. Obvious Manning doesn’t rate him, hope he does well. Let’s see what Mebude gives us over the remaining 12 games that he doesn’t, eh?
  2. Definitely the player we would need any time Maidstone are our opponents. It’s “Kasey” by the way..
  3. Exactly where I am. I certainly don’t think it’s been great but I’m not sure we are at the burning pitchforks stage. I do think Pearson would have gained more points but that’s just an opinion, no one can say for certain either way.
  4. Sadly had dementia for years after (in his words) heading the ball repeatedly throughout his career. Very sad.
  5. Maybe but if you don’t immediately end up somewhere else I guess you tend to do that when you’re about to be sacked?
  6. He’s done that 8 times in the league so far as well as sidelining Ephraim Yeboah pretty much from the get go. I’m not convinced he’s a big fan of Academy players, let’s see how many that weren’t already part of the squad ever get an opportunity under him. Already a worry if he genuinely thinks Mebude is a better bet than giving either Yeboah or Nelson a spot on the bench.
  7. I’m not so sure about that. Obviously Max Bird will arrive & 1 of James or Williams (or possibly both) will depart. However apart from bringing in a centre forward & a number 10 that might well be Scott Twine, I really can’t see much other transfer business being done at all. Manning’s “own” team will therefore look remarkably like the squad we put out yesterday with a maximum of 3 additions.
  8. As it was apparently Tinnion who queried why Pearson was picking him instead of giving another Academy player a chance I’d say this is not going to happen even if we do bite the bullet with Manning at any point.
  9. Apart from Neil Harris this week?
  10. Yep, that’ll be it. Absolutely no other reason at all.
  11. Harsh on Harry Dolman, spot on otherwise.
  12. I get the purpose of this thread & accept this is pretty embarrassing, but as we have Tinnion in this role I’m not sure it is somewhere we can exactly look at them & laugh.
  13. This. His last few interviews have consisted of him telling us how grateful we should be that he puts money in, a total lack of knowledge about the football industry & a refusal to acknowledge any mistake he’s ever made (the role of Mark Ashton, his indulgence of LJ, the ridiculous Holden appointment for starters). Who in their right mind wants to hear more nonsense like this? Obvious that he’s not really interested anymore & has handled over to his mediocre son.
  14. We went 5th when we beat Plymouth.. Obviously we don’t know how the season would have ended under Nige because an illiterate Geordie & someone who is only in their job because of his Dad sacked him. I don’t think we should sack Manning, BTW.
  15. First time he had refereed us or Wednesday, was in non league two years ago. Not the reason we lost but it would certainly have helped if he had correctly sent off Bernard 40 minutes before he did & awarded the penalty he missed. Let a lot of physical stuff by them go, too. Hardly unique at our level but he wasn’t very good.
  16. Can we have a vote on Tinnion instead? No point having one on the chairman or owner, they’re only going if someone stumps up the cash.
  17. Been announced that Stan Bowles, QPR legend has passed away today.
  18. Could have Vincent Tan in charge. ”Be careful what you wish for”. Isn’t that how it goes?
  19. The thing for me is if I really was apathetic I’d be doing something else apart from posting on OTIB about a crap performance on a Saturday night about an hour and a half after the final whistle.

    Mbude.

Would have been amazed if he’d come on after QPR. King actually played a couple of decent passes but what does it say that you bring on a 35 year old player coach ahead of him. This is one to watch over the last 10 or so games.
  21. He might not get the push but he’ll be off of social media again soon..
  22. Look at the league table. If you believe so fancy a £100 bet?
